list.ToaddBonjourasabrowserbookmark,gotoSafari>Preferences.
IfoudonotknowtheIPaddress,useAXISIPUtilittolocatethedeviceonthenetwork.Forinformationabouthow
todiscoverandassignanIPaddress,seethedocumentHowtoassignanIPaddressandaccessyourdeviceonthe
devicepageataxis.com.
3.Enterourusernameandpassword.Ifthisisthersttimethedeviceisaccessed,therootpasswordmustrstbe
congured,gotoSetasecurepasswordfortherootaccountonpage6.

Axisdevicessendtheinitiallsetpasswordincleartextoverthenetwork.Toprotectourdeviceaftertherstlogin,set
upasecureandencrptedHTTPSconnectionandthenchangethepassword.
Thedevicepasswordistheprimarprotectionforourdataandservices.Axisdevicesdonotimposeapasswordpolicasthe
mabeusedinvarioustpesofinstallations.
Toprotectourdatawestronglrecommendthatou:
•Changethedefaultpasswordthatcomeswitheachdevice.
•Useapasswordwithatleast8characters,preferablcreatedbapasswordgenerator.
•Don’texposethepassword.
•Changethepasswordatarecurringinterval,atleastonceaear.
