IMPORTANT SAFETY
• UK Only: This appliance must not be used in the
bathroom.
• Outside the UK: If using the appliance in a bathroom,
unplug after use as the proximity of water can be
dangerous even if the appliance is switched off. For
additional protection the installation of a residual current
device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30mA is advisable in the electrical circuit
supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
• WARNING! Do not use this appliance near water
contained in basins, bathtubs or other vessels.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Never look directly up into the hood of the dryer when
it is switched on.
• Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable
signs of damage. Do not use if damaged or if the
appliance has been dropped. In the event of damage
contact the Conair Customer Care Line (refer to ‘UK
After Sales Service’ section for further information).

• Do not use the appliance if the lead is damaged. In
the event of damage, discontinue use immediately.
If the lead is damaged it must be replaced by the
manufacturer. Return the appliance to the Customer
Care Centre (refer to ‘UK After Sales Service’ section
for further information). No repair must be attempted
by the consumer.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended when switched on
or plugged in.
• This appliance is equipped with a safety thermostat. In
the event of overheating the appliance will either stop
automatically or run hot and cold intermittently. Should
this happen, switch the appliance to the ‘OFF’ position,
unplug and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Before use,
ensure the rear lter is clear of hair and other debris. Plug
in and switch on. If the appliance continues to overheat
discontinue use immediately, switch off and unplug, and
contact the Conair Customer Care Line (refer to ‘UK After
Sales Service’ section for further information).
• Take care that the air vents do not become blocked when
in use. Ensure the rear lter is clear of hair and other debris
before use.
• Do not place the appliance on any heat sensitive surface
whilst in operation.
• Take care to avoid the hot surface of the appliance coming
into direct contact with the skin, in particular the ears, eyes,
face and neck.

Assembly Instructions
The BaByliss PRO Ionic Hood Dryer requires careful assembly before
use. Please read the following assembly instructions thoroughly:
1. Lay the wheelbase upside down on a at even surface and insert
the individual wheeled legs at a vertical angle (Diagram 1). Once all
are in place push them down so that they align horizontally with the
wheelbase.
2. Take the stand and extend to its full length so all three
sections (lower, middle and upper) are visible. Tighten
the two height adjusters to secure in place (Diagram 2).
3. Insert the widest end of the extendable stand into the wheelbase.
Use the washer to secure. (Diagram 3).

4. Fit the hood dryer onto the top of the extendable stand ensuring the
cable is freely hanging down the side of the pole and not wrapped
around it.
5. The three plastic cord clips can be used on the upper and middle
sections of the stand to hold the cord in place.
6. Secure the removable lter onto the hood by clicking into place.
Ensure that the visor is in the down position before turning the
power on.
7. The fully assembled hood dryer should look like diagram 4.
IMPORTANT! The BaByliss PRO Ionic Hood Dryer is protected in its
pack and stable once assembled, but care should be taken during
assembly. Never lift the hood by the visor. The position of the hood
is xed to give optimum comfort in use. Do not attempt to adjust the
angle.

Adjustable Visor
The adjustable front visor should be clicked in to place in the upward
holding position to allow easy access when entering or exiting
from underneath the hood. When the front visor is raised the dryer
automatically turns off. Use both hands to gently pull the visor down
to turn the dryer on. NOTE: The front visor must be down for the unit
to operate.
Adjustable Diffuser
The built in diffuser offers exibility when drying longer or shorter styles.
Some styles require greater airow to the top of the head, whilst others
for example, longer hair, require the airow to be directed around and
down the sides. To operate the diffuser, use the slide-switch situated
on the inside front edge, underneath the hood. For concentrated heat
to the top of the head the circular middle grille should be open. To
direct heat down and around the sides of the hair, the grille should be
closed.
Lockable Wheels
Each wheel is tted with a locking mechanism to secure the hood dryer
in position once assembled. To move the standing position of the hood
dryer, release the locks on each wheel.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
To keep your appliance in the best possible condition, please follow
the steps below:
General
• Do not wrap the lead around the appliance, instead coil the lead
loosely by the side of the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance at a stretch from the power point.
• Always unplug after use.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
• Prepare hair for drying as required e.g. in rollers or lightly towel dried.
• The front visor should be clicked into place in the upward holding
position.
• Plug into a suitable mains socket.
• Before adjusting the height of the stand to suit the seated position,
remove the hood and place carefully on a secure surface. Loosen the
height adjuster and slide the upper pole up or down as necessary.
Once the desired position has been achieved secure by tightening
the height adjusters.
• Select one of the 3 heat settings using the temperature dial located
on the side of the hood. (III.II. )
• Select one of the 2 speed settings using the speed dial on the side
of the hood. (0.I.II)
• Once comfortable under the hood dryer, pull down the front visor,
which will automatically turn the dryer on.
• Once hair is dry, stop the airow by lifting the front visor until it’s held
in position.
• Turn the dial to the ‘0’ position on the side of the hood to turn the
dryer off. NOTE: Always ensure that the dryer is switched to the ‘0’
position using the dial on the side after each use.
IMPORTANT! Before adjusting the height of the stand, remove the
hood and place carefully on a secure surface. Loosen the height
adjuster and slide the upper pole up or down as necessary. Once the
desired position has been achieved secure by tightening the height
adjuster and replace the hood back onto the stand.
Ionic Technology
Ionic particles neutralise static energy in the hair for a smoother nish.
To turn on the ionic technology press the button on the side of the hood
dryer labeled ‘Ionic’. This will illuminate a blue LED light to indicate it’s
turned on. NOTE: Once drying has nished press the ‘Ionic’ button to
turn off the ionic technology before lifting the visor to stop the airow.

Cleaning the Filter
• To help maintain optimum performance and prevent the ingress of
hair and other debris into the internal components, the lter should
be cleaned on a regular basis.
• Ensure the appliance is switched off, unplugged and cool.
• Using a soft brush, gently clean any hair and other debris from the
lter.
• To clean the outside of the appliance, wipe with a damp cloth. Make
sure no water enters the appliance and it’s completely dry before
use.

months and is only valid within the United Kingdom.
Exclusions

which is marked on the product, or advised within this instruction
booklet.
2.) The appliance has been purchased from an unauthorised stockist*.
3.) Repairs or alterations have been attempted by unauthorised
persons.
4.) The failure of the appliance is a direct result of misuse.
5.) The failure is a result of not following the instructions for use.
This guarantee does not cover any cosmetic damage due to misuse
