18. When the hair dryer is used in a bathroom, unplug it
after use, since the proximity of water presents a hazard
even when the hair dryer is switched off.
19. For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device
(RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA
is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your
electrician for advice.
20. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or
lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to

Double Insulated
This electrical appliance is double insulated so does not
have ground connection. The appliance is designed in
such a way that the electrical parts can never come into
contact with the outer casing of the device.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for professional use. Use on Alternating
Current (60 hertz) only. Standard dryers are designed to operate at 125
volts AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).
As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.
IMPORTANT
1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse with other electrical
products or appliances may trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a 15
amp fuse. NEVER replace the fuse with one rated higher than the
capacity of the circuit. Doing so could result in an electrical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME YOU USE DRYER.
This hair dryer is equipped with an Appliance Leakage Circuit Interrupter
(ALCI), a safety feature that renders it inoperable under some abnormal
conditions, such as immersion in water.
To make sure the ALCI is functioning properly, perform the following test:
The purpose of this test is to allow you to make sure the exclusive water
sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in hair dryer and press test button on plug (see appropriate
diagram).
2. Hair dryer will stop working. There will be an audible click and reset
button will pop out. This indicates the ALCI is functioning properly.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button: Unit should be unplugged.Then push
reset button in, and reinsert plug into outlet.

4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return hair dryer to place of
purchase.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this unit be brought to a
service center. Do not try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use hair dryer to confirm ALCI
is operational.
7. Should the dryer go off and the ALCI reset button pop up during use,
this could indicate a malfunction in the dryer. Remove plug from outlet
and allow the dryer to cool. Push the reset button in and reinsert
plug into outlet. Dryer should function normally. If not, return it to a
BabylissPRO Service Center for examination and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s well maintained.
Always treat hair well with superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and
finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products of your choice. Rinse
thoroughly. Towel-blot hair to remove excess moisture. Section hair.
Using the dryer along with your styling brush, direct hot air through
one section of hair at a time. Move dryer steadily across each section
so that the hot air passes through hair. Direct airflow at hair, not scalp.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstructed and free from hair while
drying.
3. To avoid overdrying and possible damage to hair or skin, do not
concentrate heat on one section for any length of time. Keep dryer
moving as you style.
4. For quick touch-ups between shampoos, dampen hair with a mist of
water before styling with the dryer.

5. When using your dryer to create curls and waves, dry hair almost
completely on a warmer temperature setting, then finish styling with
cooler air.
6. This dryer includes a concentrator attachment. Use the attachment
when you need drying power in a small area (such as a curl or a
wave), or when you want to relax curly hair.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance free. No lubrication is needed. The
dryer must be kept clean for proper operating performance. When
cleaning is needed, unplug the cord, allow to cool and clean dust and lint
from air intake openings with a small brush or the brush attachment of
a vacuum cleaner. The outer surface of the dryer should be wiped clean
with a damp cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will cause the dryer to
overheat. If overheating occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage or personal injury. If the unit
or the heat cycles off, turn the dryer off, unplug the cord, and allow the
dryer to cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting. Make sure the air
vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled, twisted, or severely
bent. Never wrap the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will occur at
the high flex point of entry into the dryer, causing it to rupture and short
circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if
damage is visible or unit stops or operates intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not operate properly, return it
for repair to place of purchase or an authorized BabylissPRO service
representative only. No repairs should be attempted by the consumer.

STORAGE – IMPORTANT
When not in use, your dryer should be disconnected, allowed to cool and
stored in a safe, dry location, out of reach of children. Do not wrap line
cord around dryer. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the
point of entry into the dryer.

charge for 60 months from the date of purchase if the appliance is
defective in any workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the defective product to

provide proof of purchase and should call 1-800-326-6247 for shipping
instructions. In the absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty period

DOUBLE ISOLATION
Cet appareil dispose de deux systèmes d’isolation au

DIRECTIVES D’UTILISATION
Cet appareil est à usage professionnel. Brancher l’appareil sur courant

Cet appareil est doté d’une fiche polarisée (une broche est plus large
que l’autre). Par mesure de sécurité, cette fiche s’insèrera dans la
prise de courant d’une seule façon. Si la fiche ne s’insère pas bien,
la renverser. Si elle ne s’insère toujours pas, contacter un électricien
qualifié. Ne jamais essayer de contrer cette mesure de sécurité.
Utiliser cet appareil sur le même circuit que d’autres appareils
électriques peut faire griller un fusible ou faire sauter un disjoncteur de
15 ampères. Ne JAMAIS remplacer un fusible par un d’une capacité
supérieure à celle du circuit ; cela pourrait présenter un risque
d’incendie.
TESTEZ LE DISJONCTEUR DIFFÉRENTIEL AVANT CHAQUE UTILISATION
Cet appareil est équipé d’une prise à disjoncteur différentiel, un coupe-
circuit qui coupe le courant automatiquement dans certaines conditions
anormales, par exemple lorsque l’appareil tombe à l’eau.
Effectuer le test suivant afin confirmer le bon fonctionnement du
disjoncteur différentiel et du système de détection de l’eau.
1. Brancher l’appareil et appuyer sur le bouton de test (voir le
diagramme ci-dessous).
2. L’appareil s’arrêtera. Vous entendrez un déclic et le bouton de remise
en marche sautera ; cela indique que le disjoncteur différentiel
fonctionne correctement.
3. Pour réinitialiser le disjoncteur (s’il est équipé d’un bouton de remise
en marche) : Débrancher l’appareil. Appuyer sur le bouton de remise
en marche, puis rebrancher l’appareil.

4. Si le disjoncteur différentiel ne fonctionne pas correctement,
renvoyer l’appareil à un service après-vente autorisé.
5. Si l’appareil tombe à l’eau, il est indispensable de le renvoyer à un
service après-vente autorisé. Ne pas essayer pas de réinitialiser le
disjoncteur ou d’utiliser l’appareil.
6. Effectuer ce test avant chaque utilisation, afin de vérifier que
disjoncteur différentiel fonctionne correctement.
7. Si l’appareil s’arrête et le bouton de remise en marche du disjoncteur
différentiel saute pendant l’utilisation, cela peut indiquer un mauvais
fonctionnement. Débrancher l’appareil et le laisser refroidir. Appuyer
sur le bouton de remise en marche, puis rebrancher l’appareil.
Celui-ci devrait fonctionner normalement. Si ce n’était pas le cas, le
renvoyer à un service après-vente autorisé.
GUIDE DE COIFFAGE
Un style soigné commence par une bonne coupe de cheveux, bien
entretenue. Prenez toujours soin de vos cheveux, en utilisant des
shampooings, des produits de soin et des produits de finition de qualité
supérieure.

RUDIMENTS DU SÉCHAGE
1. Laver et revitaliser les cheveux à l’aide des produits de votre choix.
Rincer abondamment. Essorer les cheveux à la serviette. Diviser
les cheveux en sections uniformes. Sécher chaque section à
l’aide du séchoir et d’une brosse. Déplacer le séchoir lentement et
régulièrement des racines jusqu’aux pointes, en dirigeant l’air chaud
vers les cheveux, pas le cuir chevelu.
2. Veiller à ce que les entrées d’air ne soient pas obstruées par des
cheveux durant le séchage.
3. Pour éviter d’abîmer les cheveux, ne pas diriger la chaleur sur
un point fixe pendant une période prolongée ; déplacer le séchoir
constamment.
4. Pour effectuer des retouches rapides entre les shampooings,
humecter les cheveux à l’aide d’un vaporisateur puis passer au
brushing.
5. Lorsque vous utilisez le séchoir pour boucler ou onduler les cheveux,
sécher les cheveux presque complètement en utilisant un réglage de
température chaud, puis terminer le séchage en utilisant de l’air froid.
6. Ce séchoir inclut un concentrateur d’air. Utiliser le concentrateur
lorsque vous avez besoin d’une certaine puissance de séchage sur
une petite zone, comme une boucle ou une ondulation, ou pour lisser
les cheveux.
TECHNOLOGIE SANS BALAIS

CORPS ET VOLUME
Pour donner du corps et du volume aux cheveux,
pencher la tête vers l’avant pendant le séchage.
Diriger l’air vers les racines pour les décoller au
maximum. Lorsque les cheveux sont secs, relever
la tête et coiffer les cheveux.

LISSAGE
Diviser les cheveux en sections uniformes. Étirer
chaque section à l’aide d’une grosse brosse ronde
d’environ 2 po. (5 cm) de diamètre à mesure que
vous séchez les cheveux.

DIRECTIVES D’ENTRETIEN
Cet appareil demande peu d’entretien. Il n’est pas nécessaire de le
lubrifier. Pour assurer un fonctionnement optimal, il faut simplement le
maintenir propre. Lorsque vous devez nettoyer l’appareil, le débrancher,
le laisser refroidir et nettoyer la poussière et les résidus qui se trouvent
dans les orifices de ventilation à l’aide d’une petite brosse ou de
l’accessoire de votre aspirateur. Essuyer le boîtier de l’appareil à l’aide
d’un linge légèrement humide.
Le moteur surchauffera si les orifices de ventilation de l’appareil
sont obstrués ou bloqués. En cas de surchauffe, un dispositif de
sécurité automatique éteint l’appareil ou coupe la chaleur pour éviter
tout dommage ou toute blessure. Si votre appareil s’éteint ou arrête de
produire de la chaleur, l’éteindre, le débrancher et le laisser refroidir de
10 à 15 minutes avant de le remettre en marche. Vérifier que les orifices
de ventilation sont propres.
MISE EN GARDE
Veiller à ne JAMAIS tirer, torsader ou tordre le cordon d’alimentation.
Ne pas l’enrouler autour de l’appareil ; des dommages au point de
flexion pourraient causer une rupture et un court-circuit. Inspecter
le cordon d’alimentation fréquemment afin de vous assurer qu’il
n’est pas endommagé. Cesser immédiatement l’utilisation si vous
constatez que le cordon est endommagé ou si l’appareil s’arrête
ou fonctionne de façon intermittente.
Si le cordon d’alimentation est endommagé ou si l’appareil ne
fonctionne pas correctement, rapporter l’appareil au magasin où vous
l’avez acheté ou le renvoyer à un service après-vente BabylissPRO
autorisé uniquement. Ne pas essayer de le réparer.

RANGEMENT – IMPORTANT
Lorsque vous n’utilisez pas l’appareil, le débrancher et le garder dans
un endroit sec et sûr, hors de portée des enfants. Ne pas enrouler pas le
cordon d’alimentation autour de l’appareil. Le laisser pendre ou reposer
librement en vous assurant que le point de flexion avec l’appareil est
bien droit.

une preuve d’achat et appeler le 1-800-326-6247 pour obtenir des
directives d’envoi. En l’absence du reçu de caisse, la période de
garantie sera de 60 mois à compter de la date de fabrication.
