24” Auxiliary Display Panel
for Controller Working Positions
Today’s Air Traffic Controllers are using more and more tools
to display an ever-increasing load of information. That is
why more and more visualization capabilities with respect to
display size and resolution are needed. However, using
multiple displays with different sizes increases the risk for HMI
inconsistency. Barco’s 24” ADP361 auxiliary display series is
especially designed to meet these concerns.
The ADP361 series is perfectly suited to extend the high-
resolution surface of today’s 2Kx2K main display panels like
Barco’s ISIS or ISONA, while maintaining a good optical match
with the main display. Its flexibility allows both surface and
resolution to be extended with over 50% per added panel. The
ADP361 can be used beside a main display (portrait mode) as
well as on top of a main display (landscape mode) in order to
maximize the interactive surface available to a controller in a
limited console space.

While commercial displays are designed for an office environment, the ADP361 has been developed especially to work well
with 2048 x 2048 main displays with a 24 x 7 service requirement:
• Wider brightness control range keeping perfect color balance under all settings, including dark contrast room conditions
• Stabilized and calibrated light output for consistent image reproduction within one position and among multiple positions
• Reliable selectable white point settings to match with any well aligned main display
• Built-in hardware image rotator for more graphic board performance
• Multiple inputs for e.g. main and fall-back sources
• Analog and digital inputs
• Low noise and low heat design for operator convenience

Superior image quality
Low life cycle cost
The ADP361 relies on Barco’s near-zero maintenance concept,
which encompasses an easy set-up, internal stabilization and
calibration and several Built-In Test (BIT) patterns for easy
diagnostics. In addition, Barco’s optional CHECKUP! configuration
and maintenance software continuously checks the registered
ADP361 displays for their online status and warns system
administrators for preventive maintenance actions.
Last but not least, Barco’s worldwide PRO.CARE support
service assures long-term support and operational service for
the ADP361.
The ADP361 features Barco’s unique APA (Automatic Phase
Adjust) function, which guarantees artifact-free images over
time.

The ADP361 is equipped
with built-in automatic color
calibration circuitry. With the
optional color sensor, the ADP361
display can be automatically
calibrated, so it is perfectly
color matched with the aside
installed main or auxiliary displays.
In combination with a large
dimming range, very high
panel contrast and excellent
color tracked control range, a
consistent large HMI surface is
guaranteed between displays,
between CWPs and over time. This
brings additional operator comfort,
no ambiguous image interpreation
and near zero maintenance.
