Advanced Test
The QST250 has a Quick Test function that allows for testing
the ultra-sonic parking sensors by displaying a basic peak level
output in a comparative bar graph layout on the tool screen.
This function will allow you to test up to 8 sensors (you can test
anywhere from 1-8 sensors) and compare their output levels
To use this function, select Quick Test from the Main Menu.
The tool will allow you to set the sensitivity using the up and
down arrow keys. For most tests, the default sensitivity will
work. Once set, press OK to continue.
Once the tool is set, you can verify the Parking Sensors are
working by either checking them with the integrated Sensor
Pick-up (at the top of the tool) or the External Sensor.
To get the sensors to transmit, you will need to have the vehicle
Key-On/Engine Off and in Reverse (make sure vehicle is level
and secured so it cannot roll)
Measure each sensor and press OK when complete to move to
Repeat for all sensors
and compare results.
To Exit, press OK until curser is on Exit and press OK
The QST250 also has several Advanced Tests. To use these features
navigate to and select Advanced Tests, and then navigate to the
feature you want to use, and select it. The position of the tool and/or
external sensor will be the same in these tests as the Quick Test.
Peak Oscilloscope
The tool has the ability to display
the output in a pulse format
Peak Output Scan

each sensor
Frequency Analyzer
Determines the frequency of the sensor
transmission allowing you to compare
it to others.
NOTE: this will vary
depending on how far away you hold
the Pick-Up from the sensor. For best
results, make sure the distance is
consistent in all tests.
Please note the internal and external sensor pick ups will
produce slightly different results. Please ensure you test all
sensors with the same pick up to avoid mixed readings
