ManualForward:Depressingthiskeyduringthefoldingprocesswillstopthefoldingandwhile still
depressedadvancethepaperintothepaperreceivingtray. Continuouslydepressthiskeyuntilthepaper
iscompletelyoutofthefolder.
ManualReverse:Depressingthiskeyduringthefoldingprocesswillstopthefoldingandwhilestilldepressed
reversethepaperbacktothefeedintable.Continuouslydepressthiskeyuntillthepaperiscompletelyout
ofthefolder.
Theuse of eitherthe Manual Forwardor Reverse keysduring the foldingprocess stops thefolding
processandwillremovethepaperun-foldedfromthefoldingmachine.

Laythepaperflatonthefeedintable.
Smoothoutpaperandflattenanyfoldededges.
Makesurethefirstfewinchesoftheleadingedge(15-20cm)isnotcurled.Ifcurlexistsre-rollthepaper
againstthecurltoflattenoutthepaper.
Positiontheplanfaceupwiththetitleblockinthelowerrighthandcornerasperthediagramonthepaper
guide.
Lightlybringthepaperintocontactwiththeinsideedgeofthepaperguide,(Note:Donotpushtoofirmlyas
thiswillcausethepapertocrease) thenwithaconstantmotionmovethepaperparalleltothepaperguideto
thepaperguideroller. Makesurethepaperremainssquareandflatuponentrytothefolder.
Pleasenotethattheleadingedgewillbeontopafterthefoldingiscompleted.
Donotfeedinthenextsheetuntilthefoldingofthefirstsheetiscompletedandthepaperhasexitedtothe
paperreceivingtray.Alsomakesurethatthenextsheettobefoldedisnotunderthesensorsinthepaper
guideareaasthiswillcauseadefaultmessageorcausethefirstsheettobefoldedincorrectly.
Oncethefirstsheethasbeenfanfoldedtheplanmaybere-introducedtothefoldertoperformthecrossfold.
ThisoperationisautomaticastheFOLDJETdetectsthenarrowwidthofthefoldedpaperandgoesintothe
crossfoldmode.Removethefoldedplanfromthereceivingtrayandsmoothoutthefoldonthepaperfeedin
table. Movetheplanagainsttheloweredgeofthepaperguideandwithaconstantmotionmovetheplanto
thepaperguideroller.PleasenotethatthemaximumsizewhichcanbecrossfoldedisA0/Esizeformat.

YoumayendtheUserSet-upmenubypressingthe keyorcontinuethroughthe
programagainbypressingtheuparrowkey.

Bypressingthe keytheunitofmeasurementcanbechangedfrominchesto

Units:
Thismodeenablesyoutochangetheedgeofthefoldedmaterialintroducedinto
thepaperguide.Inthenormalmodethetitleblockisfaceupastheleadingedge
first into the folder with the border edge in the paper guide.
Bypressingthe keythemodechangestoinvertedsothatthefoldeddrawing
can be introduced with the border side opposite the paper guide and the title
block face down.
Crossfold norm/inv.:
Withthe keyyoucanswitchthecrossfoldfunctiononoroff.

Cleaning and Service
Duringregularusethefeedintablemaybecomedullandsticky. Cleanthetableandpaperguideareawithasoft
clothusinganon-abrasivecleanser. Applyasiliconesprayorsimilarproductevenlyoverthefeedintable
surface. Keepthepaperguideareacleanandfreeofpaperdustandscrapsofpaper. Regularinspectionofthe
paperrollersisimportantforproperoperationoftheFOLDJET. RefertotheOperatorsManualforfurther
informationonthesafeoperationoftheFOLDJET.
