Warranty Details
The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and
parts for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Defects that
occur within this warranty period, under normal use and care, will be
repaired, replaced or refunded at our discretion. The benefits conferred
by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies in respect of the
product that the consumer has under the Competition and Consumer Act
2010 and similar state and territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the
Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for
a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable
loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or
replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does
not amount to a major failure.

General Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before first use, even if you are familiar with this type of
product. Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference, along with the completed
warranty card, purchase receipt and carton. If applicable, pass these instructions on to
the next owner of the appliance.
Follow all instructions and heed all warnings in this manual. The safety precautions
enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
• Usageenvironment:In order to prevent environmental factors (dampness, dust, food,
liquid etc.) harming the Bluetooth Speaker, only use the product in well ventilated,
clean and dry environments, away from excessive heat, very low temperatures and
humidity. Keep the product away from direct sunlight, sharp objects, liquids, oils and
other chemicals.
• Protectfromheat:Do not leave the unit near any heat sources, stoves, ovens or other
appliances (including amplifiers) which produce heat.
• WARNING!Protectfromwater:Ensure that this unit does not get wet. Protect it from
splashing water. Do not use it with wet hands, and do not immerse it in water or other
liquids. Do not use it near a sink, bath, shower, or in humid or damp conditions. Do not
place objects filled with water (such as a vase) on top of the product.
• Damage:In case of damage, do not disassemble, repair or modify the product yourself.
Contact our after sales support line or qualified personnel for advice on repair or
replacement.
• Intendedpurpose:Use this product only for its intended purpose. It is intended for
personal use only, not for commercial or industrial use.
• Usagerestriction:This product is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the product by a person responsible for their safety.
• Children:Supervise young children to ensure that they do not play with the product.
Close supervision is necessary when the product is used by or near children.
• Packaging:Plastic packaging materials can present a suffocation hazard for young
children and babies. Keep all packaging materials out of the reach of children.
• Voltage:Before connecting the power adaptor and turning on the product, ensure
that the electrical voltage and circuit frequency correspond to those indicated on the
product rating label.
• Inappropriateuse: Only use this product in accordance with the instructions in this
manual.
• Repair:The product has no user-serviceable parts contained inside. Do not attempt to
repair, disassemble or modify it. Any modifications could void your warranty. If the unit
needs service, contact our after sales support line for advice relating to examination,
repair, or return of the product.
• Liability: We assume no liability for any eventual damages or injury caused by misuse
of the product or noncompliance with these instructions.

Indicators
BlueLED: The blue indicator will flash to indicate that it is ready for pairing with
a Bluetooth enabled device. Once paired, the blue LED will stay
illuminated.
OrangeLED: The orange indicator will stay illuminated when an audio cable is
plugged into the LINE IN socket.

Getting Started
Beforerstuse
Read the Safety Instructions provided in this manual before using the appliance.
Charging
The unit has been partially charged at the factory. We recommend you fully charge it
before use via the Micro USB cable provided.
• Plug the Micro USB end into the Portable Speaker and the other end into your
computer. It will take approximately 4-5 hours to fully charge.
• When the battery is full, the battery indicator light will turn blue.
NOTE:
• When the Portable Speaker is running out of battery, the orange (make orange)
indicator light will flash quickly and the volume will decrease.
• You can only play music once paired with an external device via Bluetooth, or by
using the LINE IN jack. The unit will not play music directly via the USB port.
• You can also use a 5VDC/1A adaptor (not supplied) to charge.
PowerON/OFF
In order to turn On or Off your unit, lift up the silicone on the bottom of the unit.
• Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position to turn on the Portable Speaker.
• Slide the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position to turn off the Portable Speaker.
ConnectingwithBluetoothWirelessTechnology
To connect to Bluetooth Wireless Technology for the first time, use the following
instructions:
1. The unit will enter search mode automatically when you turn on the power for the first
time. The blue LED indicator will flash and the unit will then enter pairing mode.
2. When pairing, put your device (e.g. a mobile phone) within 3 metres of the unit.
Activate the Bluetooth function of your device (refer your device’s user manual for
instructions). Your device will start searching for nearby Bluetooth enabled units.
3. Select “ASCBS-815-S” from the list of units searched by the device.
4. If the device requests a password, enter “0000” and press OK to start pairing. Once
paired, the unit will enter connection mode and the blue LED will stay illuminated.
5. Make sure the unit is within 10 metres of the device and there is no obstructions
between them (such as a wall). You can now play the device’s music through the
unit’s speaker. You can control the music selection through the device and the
Portable Speaker.
NOTE: Your Portable Speaker must be in Bluetooth Mode in order to pair with your
Bluetooth enabled device.

BluetoothConnectionMode
After you have paired your unit for the first time, when you turn the Portable Speaker on
and enable bluetooth on your device, it will automatically connect with the last paired
device.
To disconnect the last paired device and connect to another device, press and hold (M)
button on your Portable Speaker, or unpair Bluetooth on your paired device (refer to your
device’s user manual for further instructions). The Portable Speaker will then enter pairing
mode and the Indicator Light will start flashing blue.
Bluetoothplayback
• Short press / to decrease/increase the volume gradually.
• Long press / to decrease/increase the volume quickly.
• Press to Pause or Resume Playback.
• Short press to go to previous track.
• Short press to go to next track.
Hands-freeoperation
• Your Bluetooth enabled device should be paired and connected in order to be able to
use hands-free operation.
• When a call comes through, music playback will pause and the phone’s ringtone will
start playing. Press to answer the call.
• Once you have finished, press to hang up the call and the Portable Speaker will
return to Playback mode automatically.
AUX-INMode
The AUX-IN port is located underneath teh silicon on the bottom of the Portable Speaker.
• Use the (M) to select AUX-IN mode. The AUX-IN port is located underneath the
silicone on the bottom of the Portable Speaker.
• Connect one end of an audio cable to your Portable Speaker and the other end of
the audio cable to the earphone socket of an external audio source (e.g. iPod, MP3
player) and start playing music from the external source.
• Short press / to decrease/increase the volume gradually.
• Long press / to decrease/increase the volume quickly.

MicroSDCardMode
The Micro SD Card slot is located underneath the silicone on the bottom of the Portable
Speaker. When you insert your Micro SD Card into the Micro SD Card slot, the Portable
Speaker will start to play music from your Micro SD Card automatically.

If you experience problems with your Portable Speaker, check the table below for

Problem Solution
Failure of Bluetooth
pairing
The unit will search and connect to the previously
connected Bluetooth device automatically. To search
and pair a different Bluetooth device, please unpair the
previous Bluetooth device first.
The indicators do not
glow, and Bluetooth
cannot be connected
The unit enters sleep mode after a period of inactivity.
Restart the speaker to pair and resume the Bluetooth
connection.
Low sound
The unit is at the default low level output. Turn up the
volume of the unit.
The output volume of the connected Bluetooth device is
low. Turn up the volume of the Bluetooth device.
Bluetooth connection
range is short
There may be a obstruction between the unit and the
Bluetooth device. Remove the obstruction.
A pause or interruption
occurs during normal

The distance between the Portable Speaker and the
connected Bluetooth device may exceed the connection
