oDo not place heavy objects on the oven door or lean on the
oven door when it is open, as this can cause damage to the oven
door hinges. Nobody should be allowed to sit or stand on any
part of the cooker.
oDo not store chemicals, food stuffs, pressurised containers in or
on the cooker or in cabinets immediately above or next to the
cooker.
oDo not heat up unopened food containers, as pressure can build
up which may cause the container to burst.
oDo not place flammable or plastic items on or near the hob
burners, these types of materials should also not be placed in
the oven or the compartment below the oven.
oDo not leave heated oil or fat unattended, as this is a fire risk.
You should not fill a deep fat frying pan more than one third full
of fat or oil; you should also not use a lid.
oDo not allow fat or oil to build up in the oven trays, grill pan or
oven base.
oDo not place pans or baking trays directly on the base of the
oven cavity, or line it with aluminium foil.
oDo not grill food containing fat without using a grill trivet. The
grill trivet should never be covered with aluminium foil.
oDo not place hot parts in water, leave them to cool first.
oDo not allow vinegar, coffee, milk, saltwater, lemon, tomato
juice or any liquid with high sugar content to remain in contact
with the enamel parts of the appliance. Spillages should be
wiped up immediately.
oDo not allow electrical fittings or cables to come into contact
with areas on the appliance that get hot.
oDo not use the appliance to heat the room it is located in or to
dry clothing. No clothing should be placed over or near to the
hob burners or oven door.

Cleaning
oCleaning of the oven should be carried out on a regular basis.
oGreat care should be taken whilst using this appliance and when
following the cleaning procedure.
oIMPORTANT: The appliance must be disconnected from the
mains before following the cleaning procedure.
oIMPORTANT: Care must be taken when cleaning between
the door glasses, and inside the inner frame as some of
the edges maybe sharp due to the manufacturing process.

This appliance must be correctly installed by a
suitably qualified person, strictly in accordance
with the manufacturer’s instructions. Please see
the specific section of this booklet that refers to
installation.

Control Panel
Hob burner selection dial
oA symbol above each burner selection dial indicates
which burner the control knob is for. The burner
shaded in black is the relevant one for that dial.
oTurn the relevant dial anticlockwise to ignite and select a power
level for a chosen burner. Please refer to the “Using the hob top”
section on pages 16 – 19 for more information.
Oven thermostat dial
oThe oven thermostat dial is indicated by a Celsius
symbol above it.
oTurn the dial clockwise to select a main oven temperature
between 50°C and 250°C.

Oven function selection dial
oThe oven function selection dial is indicated by an
oven symbol above it.
oRotate the dial to select the required function for the oven.
Please refer to the “Using the oven” section on pages 20 – 25 for
more information.
LED full programmer
oThe LED programmer can be used to set timer functions to
ensure the cooking process is as easy and convenient as
possible.

Setting and using the oven programmer/timer
Setting the time of day
After switching on your oven for the first time you should set the time
of day.
oAfter connecting the appliance to the electricity supply, or after a
power cut, the time of day will need to be set before you can use
any of the timer functions.
oPress the duration button and the end of cooking
time button simultaneously.
oSet the current time of day using the plus and
minus buttons. Once the correct time has been
chosen, the time will set automatically after a few seconds.
Selecting manual operation mode
Before selecting a new timer function or after using a timer function,
the oven programmer should be returned to manual operation mode.
oPress the duration button and the end of cooking
time button simultaneously. Any preset timer
function will be cancelled.
Setting the minute minder function
You can set a countdown time using the minute minder function and
an alarm will sound when this period of time has elapsed.
oPress the minute minder button to select this function.
oUse the plus and minus buttons to set the
required length of countdown time. If you hold
down either of these buttons the time options will scroll faster.
When the required time is shown on the display, release all
buttons.
oA bell symbol will turn on and the countdown will begin
automatically after a time is set. The remaining countdown time
can be viewed at any time by pressing the minute minder
button.
oAt the end of the set time, an alarm will sound and the bell
symbol will go off. The alarm will sound for 7 minutes and can be
silenced by pressing any button.

oImportant: The oven will continue to heat once the alarm has
been silenced. If you have finished cooking, then you should turn
the thermostat control knob to 0.
Setting the duration cooking function
This function will allow you to set a countdown time similar to the
minute minder function. However the oven will no longer continue to
heat, once the countdown period has elapsed.
oPress the duration button to select this function.
oUse the plus and minus buttons to set the length
of cooking time you require. If you hold down
either of these buttons the time options will scroll
faster. When the required time is shown on the display, release
all buttons.
oAn “A” and a cookpot symbol will turn on and remain lit for the
time the function is operating. The countdown will begin
automatically after the time is set. The remaining countdown
time can be viewed at any time by pressing the duration button.
oAt the end of the countdown time, the cookpot symbol will turn
off and the “A” symbol will flash. An alarm will sound to indicate
the end of the cooking time and the oven will switch off
automatically. The alarm will sound for 7 minutes and can be
silenced by pressing any button.
Setting the end cook function
This function is similar to the duration function, however instead of
selecting a period of time that you wish the oven to switch off after.
You select the time of day that you wish the oven to switch off at.
oPress the end of cooking time button to select this
function.
oUse the plus and minus buttons to set the time of
day you wish the oven to switch off at. If you hold
down either of these buttons the time options will scroll faster.
When the required time of day is shown on the display, release
all buttons.
oAn “A” and a cookpot symbol will turn on and stay on while the
function is in progress. The timer function will begin
automatically after the time is set. The remaining time can be
viewed at any time by pressing the end of cooking time button.

oWhen the programmed time of day is reached, the cookpot
symbol will turn off and the “A” symbol will flash. An alarm will
sound to indicate the end of cooking time and the oven will
switch off automatically. The alarm will sound for 7 minutes and
can be silenced by pressing any button.
Setting the start and end time function
This function will allow you to set a time in the future that the oven
switches on at and a time that the oven will switch off at.
oFirst programme the duration of cooking time by
pressing the duration button to select this function.
oUse the plus and minus buttons to set the length
of cooking time you require. If you hold down
either of these buttons the time options will scroll faster. When
the required time is shown on the display, release all buttons.
oAn “A” and a cookpot symbol will turn on.
oYou can then programme the end of cooking time of day
by pressing the end of cooking time button to select this
function. The earliest possible end time will be displayed
depending on the duration of cooking time you have previously
selected.
oUse the plus and minus buttons to set the time of
day you wish the oven to switch off at. If you hold
down either of these buttons the time options will scroll faster.
When the required time of day is shown on the display, release
all buttons.
oThe cookpot symbol will turn off and will come on again at the
required oven start time. At the end of the cooking time, the
cookpot symbol will turn off and the “A” symbol will flash. An
alarm will sound to indicate the set time has been reached and
the oven will switch off automatically. The alarm will sound for 7
minutes and can be silenced by pressing any button.
oIMPORTANT: If the oven timer detects that the current
time of day is in between the calculated cooking start and
end time the error will be indicated by the alarm and the
“A” symbol flashing. The faulty setting should be
cancelled and reprogrammed.

Returning to manual operation mode / cancelling a function
oYou should return the oven timer to manual operation mode
after a timer function has completed. If you return the oven to
manual operation mode during a timer function, the timer
function will be cancelled.
oTo return to manual operation mode, press the
duration button and the end of cooking time button
simultaneously.
Adjusting the alarm volume
oWhen the oven programmer is in manual operation mode, press
the minus button to adjust the volume of the alarm.
oThere are 3 volume levels to choose from and each one will
sound for as long as the minus button is held down for.
oWhen the required volume has been selected, release the minus
button and the programmer will return to manual operation
mode.

Before first use
IMPORTANT: You should clean the hob surface (see
“Cleaning and maintenance” section).
oYou should switch on one cooking zone at a time, for 5 minutes
at the maximum setting. This will help to eliminate any new
smell that exists and evaporate any humidity that has formed on
the heating elements during transit.
oDo not burn off more than one zone at once.
oYou must place a saucepan filled half full with cold water on
each zone as you burn it off.
Lighting a burner
oPress the relevant control knob for the burner that you wish to
use and rotate anticlockwise to the large flame icon. Once
ignited, keep pressing the knob down for about 10 seconds to
allow the flame to stabilise.
oMatches can also be used to light the burner during a power cut.
Simply follow the previous step but place a lit match to the
burner as you press the dial. Once lit, keep the dial pressed for
about 10 seconds.
WARNING: Extra care should be taken when lighting a burner
with matches. There is a risk of burning as the cooking zone
ignites so take necessary precautions.
oYou can then proceed to set the required heating power to
turning the knob to the large or small flame positions.

Optimum use of the burners
oIn order to achieve maximum results with the minimum
consumption of gas, it is important to adjust the flame according
to your needs and to use the appropriate size pans (see table
below).
oWhen the contents of a pan begin to boil it is recommended that
you adjust the dial to the small flame position.
oAlways place a lid on the pan in use.

oAlways remember to turn the control knob to OFF when cooking
is completed.
Hob guidelines
oThe first few times the hob top is used, it may give off an acrid,
burning smell. This smell will disappear completely with repeated
use.
oThe worktop is fitted with cooking areas of different diameter
and power.
oThe positions where the heat will radiate from are clearly marked
on the hob top. The saucepans must be positioned exactly on
these zones for efficient heating to occur. Pans should have the
same diameter as the cooking zone that they are being used on.

oYou should not use saucepans with rough bottoms, as this can
scratch the surface.
oBefore use, make sure that the bottoms of the saucepans are
clean and dry.
oWhen cold, the bottom of the pans should be slightly concave, as
they expand when hot and lie flat on the surface of the hob. This
will allow the heat to transfer more easily.
oThe best thickness for the bottom of the pans is 2 – 3 mm of
enamelled steel and 4 – 6 mm for stainless steel with sandwich
type bottoms.
oIf these rules are not followed, then there will be a great loss of
heat and energy. Heat not absorbed by the saucepan, will spread
to the hob, frame and surrounding cabinets.
oPreferably cover pans with a lid to permit cooking at a lower
heat.
oAlways cook vegetables and potatoes, etc. in as little water as
possible to reduce cooking times.
oFood or liquid that has a high sugar content may damage the
hob top if it comes into contact with the hob surface. Any
spillages should be wiped up immediately, however this may not
prevent the hob surface from becoming damaged.
oIMPORTANT: The hob surface is tough; however it is not
unbreakable and can be damaged. Especially if pointed or hard
objects are allowed to fall on it with some force.
oDO NOT USE THE HOB IF THE SURFACE BECOMES BROKEN
OR CRACKED. YOU SHOULD CONTACT THE BAUMATIC
SERVICE DEPARTMENT IMMEDIATELY.

Using the oven
Before first use
oTo remove any residue from the oven that may have been left
from the manufacturing process, you should select either the
main or grill oven function and turn the thermostat dial to its
maximum temperature setting.
oIt is perfectly normal for a smell to be produced during this
process.
oYou should make sure that any windows in the room are left
open during this process.
oIt is advisable for you not to remain in the room whilst the
burning off process is taking place.
oYou should leave each oven on maximum setting for 30 – 40
minutes.
oIMPORTANT: You should not burn off both the oven and
hob simultaneously.
oAfter the cavity has cooled, it should then be cleaned with warm
soapy water, using either a sponge or soft cloth. No abrasive
cleaners should be used.
oOuter parts of the oven should be cleaned with warm soapy
water, using either a sponge or soft cloth. No abrasive cleaners
should be used.
oWe would recommend that an appropriate stainless steel cleaner
and polish is regularly used on the stainless steel surfaces of this
appliance.
