General Information
oThis app iance is designed for domestic househo d use and can
be bui t into a standard kitchen cabinet or housing unit.
oIMPORTANT: The adjacent furniture or housing and all
materials used in the installation must be able to withstand a
minimum temperature of 85°C above the ambient temperature
of the room it is located in, whilst in use.
oCertain types of viny or aminate kitchen furniture are
particu ar y prone to heat damage or disco ouration at
temperatures be ow the guide ines given above.
oAny damage caused by the app iance being insta ed in
contravention of this temperature imit, or by p acing adjacent
cabinet materia s c oser than 4mm to the app iance, will be the
liability of the owner
oThe use of this app iance for any other purpose or in any other
environment without the express agreement of the manufacturer
wi inva idate any warranty or iabi ity c aim.
oYour new app iance is guaranteed against e ectrica or
mechanica defects, subject to certain exc usions that are noted

Cleaning

Installation
This appliance must be correctly installed by a
suitably qualified person, strictly in accordance with
the manufacturer’s instructions
oThe manufacturer declines any responsibility for injury or
damage, to person or property, as a result of improper
use or installation of this appliance
oHeat, steam and moisture wi be created during use of the
app iance, take care to avoid injury and ensure that the room is
adequate y venti ated. If the app iance is going to be used for
pro onged periods of time, then additiona venti ation may be
required.
oP ease consu t with your qua ified insta er if you are in any doubt
about the amount of venti ation that you wi require.

Cooling fan
oA tangentia coo ing fan is fitted inside of this app iance, to make
the interna temperature of the oven stab e and the externa
surface temperature ower.
oAfter you have finished cooking and switched off the oven, the
coo ing fan wi continue to run for a period of time afterwards.
The ength of time wi depend on how ong the oven has been
switched on for and at how high a temperature.
For future reference p ease record the fo owing information which can
be found on the rating p ate and the date of purchase which can be
found on your sa es invoice. The rating p ate for your oven can be
ocated by opening the oven door and ooking around the outer edge of
the oven chassis.

Using your oven
Before first use
oTo remove any residue from the oven that may have been eft
from the manufacturing process, you shou d se ect the fan oven
function and set the thermostat to its maximum temperature
setting.
oIt is perfect y norma for a sme to be produced during this
process.
oYou shou d make sure that any windows in the room are eft
open during this process.
oIt is advisab e for you not to remain in the room whi st the
burning off process is taking p ace.
oYou shou d eave the oven on maximum setting for 30 – 40
minutes.
oAfter the oven cavity has coo ed, it shou d then be c eaned with
warm soapy water, using either a sponge or soft c oth. No
abrasive c eaners shou d be used.
oOuter parts of the oven shou d be c eaned with warm soapy
water, using either a sponge or soft c oth. No abrasive c eaners
shou d be used.
oWe wou d recommend that an appropriate stain ess stee c eaner
and po ish is regu ar y used on the stain ess stee surfaces of this
app iance.

Using the minute min er
You are able to set the minute minder at any time, regardless
of whether an oven function has been selected You can set a
period of time using the minute minder function and a buzzer
will sound when that period of time has elapsed
oThe minute minder can be set for any ength of time between 0
and 60 minutes.
oTo set a period of time, first rotate the knob fu y c ockwise to
activate the minute minder function.
oYou can then turn the knob back to the desired countdown time.
The countdown wi then begin immediate y.
oA buzzer wi sound when the countdown time has e apsed.
oImportant: The oven will continue to heat once the alarm has
been silenced. If you have finished coo ing, then you should turn
the oven function selector and thermostat control nob to 0.

Selecting an oven function
The oven function se ector knob shou d be used to se ect the particu ar
mode of cooking that you require. The app iance wi uti ise different
e ements within the oven cavity, depending on the oven function that
you se ect. When a function is se ected, the power indicator ight wi
come on and the oven ight.
Oven functions:
OVEN LIGHT: Separate ight contro which a ows the ight to
be switched on, even when the oven is not in use.
DEFROST MODE: The fan runs without heat to reduce the
defrosting time of frozen foods. The time required to defrost
the food wi depend on the room temperature, the quantity
and type of food. A ways check food packaging for the
defrosting instructions.
FAN OVEN: This method of cooking uses the circu ar e ement
whi e the heat is distributed by the fan. This resu ts in a faster
and more economica cooking process. The fan oven a ows
food to be cooked simu taneous y on different she ves,
preventing the transmission of sme s and tastes from one dish
onto another.
FULL GRILL: This method of cooking uti ises the inner and
outer parts of the top e ement, which directs heat downwards
onto the food. This function is suitab e for gri ing medium or
arge portions of sausages, bacon, steaks, fish etc.
Thermostat control knob
oThe oven thermostat contro knob
sets the required temperature of
the oven. It is possib e to
regu ate the temperature within a
range of 50 - 250°C.

Oven operating light
oThis ight wi come on to indicate that the oven’s heating
e ements are in operation. The ight wi turn off when the
temperature set on the thermostat contro knob has been
reached. It wi cyc e on and off throughout the cooking
time.
You should not place food inside the cavity, until the
correct cooking temperature has been reached
Cooking gui elines
oP ease refer to the information given on food packaging for
guidance on cooking temperatures and times. Once fami iar with
the performance of your app iance, temperatures and times can
be varied to suit persona preference.
oYou shou d pre-heat the oven and not p ace food inside of it unti
the oven operating ight has gone off.
oIMPORTANT: You should ALWAYS pre-heat the oven if you are
ba ing.
oMake sure that frozen foods are thorough y thawed before
cooking, un ess the instructions on the food packaging advise
that you can “cook from frozen”.
oBefore cooking, check that any accessories that are not required
are removed from the oven.
oP ace cooking trays in the centre of the oven and eave gaps
between the trays to a ow air to circu ate.
oTry to open the door as itt e as possib e to view the dishes.
oThe oven ight wi remain on during cooking.

Warnings
oKeep the oven door c osed when using ALL oven functions,
inc uding the gri function.
oDo not use a uminium foi to cover the ename ed baking tray or
heat items wrapped in a uminium foi under the gri . The high
ref ectivity of the foi cou d potentia y damage the gri e ement.
oYou shou d a so never ine the base of your oven with a uminium
foi .
oDuring cooking, never p ace pans or cookware direct y onto the
bottom of your oven. They shou d a ways be p aced on the she f
provided.
oThe gri heating e ement becomes extreme y hot during
operation, avoid touching it inadvertent y when hand ing the
food which you are gri ing.
oImportant: Be careful when opening the door, to avoid contact
with hot parts and steam.
Shelf positions
oThe numbers 1 – 4, indicate the different she f positions that you
can uti ise within the oven.
oYou shou d use the she f position(s) that you find are best suited
to your persona cooking preferences.
oWe recommend that food is p aced on she f eve 3 when using
the gri function. She f eve 4 is too c ose to the gri e ement so
there is a risk of burning the food.

Cleaning an maintenance
Cleaning operations must only be carried out
when the oven is cool
The appliance should be disconnected from your
mains supply before commencing any cleaning
process
oThe oven shou d be thorough y c eaned before it is operated for
the first time and after each use. This wi avoid residua food
stuffs becoming baked on the oven cavity. After residues have
been baked on severa times, they are far more difficu t to
remove.
oNever c ean the oven surfaces by steam c eaning.
oThe oven cavity shou d on y be c eaned with warm soapy water,
using either a sponge or soft c oth. No abrasive c eaners shou d
be used.
oAny stains that may appear on the bottom of the oven wi have
originated from food sp ashes or spi t food, these sp ashes occur
during the cooking process. These cou d possib y be a resu t of
the food being cooked at an excessive y high temperature or
being p aced in cookware that is too sma .
oYou shou d make sure that the cooking temperature that is
se ected is appropriate for the food that you are cooking. You
shou d a so ensure that the food is p aced in an adequate y sized
dish and use the ename ed baking tray where appropriate.
oOuter parts of the oven shou d on y be c eaned with warm soapy
water, using either a sponge or soft c oth. No abrasive c eaners
shou d be used.
oWe wou d recommend that an appropriate stain ess stee c eaner
and po ish is regu ar y used on the stain ess stee surfaces of this
app iance.
oIf you use any form of oven c eaner on your app iance, then you
must check with the manufacturer of the c eaner that it is
suitab e for use on your app iance.
oAny damage that is caused to the appliance by a cleaning
product will not be fixed by the manufacturer free of
charge, even if the appliance is within the guarantee
period

Replacing the oven bulb
IMPORTANT: The oven must be disconnected from
your mains supply before you attempt to either
remove or replace the oven bulb
oRemove the oven she f and the
baking tray.
oIt is recommended to ine the base
of the oven with a tea towe during
this process to prevent damage if
any parts are dropped.
oUnscrew the g ass cover of the
ight.
oUnscrew the o d bu b and remove
it from its ho der.
oRep ace the bu b with a 25 W/300°C, screw type pygmy.
oDo not use any other type of bu b.
oP ace the g ass cover back into position.
Removing the oven oor for cleaning
To faci itate the c eaning of the inside
of the oven and the outer frame of
the oven, the door can be removed
as fo ows:-
oThe hinges have two movab e
bo ts on them.
oIf you raise both of the
movab e bo ts, then the hinges
are re eased from the oven
housing.

oYou shou d grip the sides of the
door at the centre and then
inc ine it s ight y towards the
oven cavity and then pu the
door gent y away from the oven
cavity.
oIMPORTANT: You should ma e
sure that the door is supported
at all times and that you place
the door on some padded
material whilst cleaning it.
oThe oven door and door g ass
shou d on y be c eaned using a damp c oth and a sma amount
of detergent. The c oth MUST NOT have come into contact with
any form of c eaning product or chemica previous y.
oTo refit the door you shou d s ide the hinges back into their s ots
and open the door fu y.
oIMPORTANT: The movable bolts must be closed bac into their
original positions before closing the door.
oTake care not to dislodge the
hinge locking system when
removing the door, as the hinge
mechanism has a strong spring
oDo not immerse the door in water
at any time

The installation must be carried out by a suitably
qualified person, in accordance with the current
version of the following
oUK Regulations and Safety Standards or their European
Norm Rep acements.
oBuilding Regulations (issued by the Department of the
Environment).
oBuilding Standards (issued by the Scottish Deve opment
Department).
oIEE Wiring Regulations
oElectricity At Work Regulations

Electrical connection
Before connecting the app iance, make sure that the supp y vo tage
marked on the rating p ate corresponds with your mains supp y
vo tage.
WARNING: THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
oThis app iance shou d be wired into a 16 A doub e po e switched
fused spur out et, having 3 mm contact separation and p aced in
an easi y accessib e position adjacent to the app iance. The spur
out et must sti be accessib e even when your oven is ocated in
its housing.
oTo connect the oven power cord, oosen and remove the cover
on the termina b ock, in order to gain access to the contacts
inside. Make the connection, securing the cord in p ace with the
cab e c amp provided and then immediate y c ose the termina
b ock cover again.
oIf you have to change the oven power cord, the earthing
(ye ow/green) conductor must a ways be 10 mm onger than the
ine conductors.
oCare must be taken to ensure that the temperature of the mains
supp y cab e does not exceed 50°C.

oIf the mains supp y cab e is damaged, then it must be rep aced
by an appropriate rep acement which can be obtained from the
Spares Department.
Installing the oven into the kitchen cabinet
Positioning the appliance
oEnsure that the aperture that you wi be fitting the oven into is
of the size given in the diagram above.
oThe oven must be fitted into an oven housing with the venti ation
cut-outs shown in the diagram above. P ease a so see
“Venti ation requirements” on the fo owing page.
oEnsure that the rear pane of the furniture housing unit has been
removed.
oA ign the oven centra y to the side wa s of the surrounding units
before you fix the app iance. The fixing of the oven into the
housing is made using the screws and A en screws provided.
These shou d be screwed through the oven cabinet and into the
housing unit.

My appliance isn’t working correctly
oThe oven isn’t coming on
*Check that you have se ected a cooking function and a cooking
temperature.
oThere appears to be no power to the oven and grill
*Check that the app iance has been connected to the e ectrica
mains supp y correct y.
*Check that the mains fuses are in working order.
*Check that the correct operating instructions for using the oven
have been fo owed.
oThe grill function works but the main oven does not
*Check that you have se ected the correct cooking function.
oThe grill element is not working, or cuts out for long
periods of time during use
*A ow the oven to coo for approximate y 2 hours. Once coo ,
check whether the app iance is again working proper y.
oMy food is not cooking properly
*Ensure that you are se ecting the correct temperature and the
correct cooking function for the food that you are cooking. It
may be appropriate to adjust your cooking temperature by p us
or minus 10°C, to achieve the best cooking resu ts.
oMy food is not cooking evenly
*Check that the oven has been insta ed correct y and is eve .
*Check that the correct temperatures and she f positions are
being used.
oThe oven light is not working
*Refer to page 15 and fo ow the “Rep acing the oven bu b”
section.
