The boiler is to be installed by professionally qualified
personnel.
The following Kompakt models are available
Installation must comply with standards and local legislation
in force.
For proper installation remember the following:
- do not place the boiler above a stove or other cooking
appliance;
- minimum spaces are to be met for maintenance
operations.
The boiler is available with supporting plates.
Act as follows for installation:
- mark 4 holes for fixing the boiler supporting plate
- fix plate onto the wall
- check all measures are correct and drill the wall
- hook the boiler onto the supporting plate.
Make hydraulic connections.

2. HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS
Before connecting appliance to gas supply check the
following:
- regulations in force are met
- the gas type is the same as set for the appliance
- pipes are clean.
Gas channelling is provided for externally. If the pipe gets
through the wall,
it must penetrate through the central hole of template lower
part.
It is recommended to install a properly-dimensioned filter
on the gas supply line if the distribution network contains
any solid particle.
After installation, check all junctions performed are tight,
as required by regulations in force about installation.

4. ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS
When delivered, Kompakt boilers are completely cabled
and only need connections for electric supply lines, as well
as room thermostat(s) to be connected to the dedicated
terminals.
This appliance operates with 230 Volt/50 Hz alternate
current, 85 W electric power (R.A.I. models) or 125 W
electric power (R.S.I. models) and complies with standard
EN 60335-1.
Make electric connection as described in the following:
- untighten fixing screw of skirt control panel
- rotate the control panel downward
- untighten two screws fixing the cover to the feeder box
and remove it
Now, terminals can be taken to perform electric
connections as shown in figure;
- room thermostat and /or programmer clock are to be
connected as shown on the electric diagram.
When operations are performed, carefully reassemble
the unit.
Incase of phase-to-phasesupply,use atester to check
which wire has the higher potential with respect to
grounding and connect it to L; connect the other wire
to N in the same way.
It is compulsory:
- using an omnipolar overload switch, line
disconnector, in compliance with CEI-EN standards
(minimum contact opening: 3 mm);
- using 1,5-mm2section cables and comply with L
(phase) - N (neutral) connection;
- effectively performing grounding
- protecting access to the outlet after installation.
It is forbidden using gas and water pipes for boiler
grounding.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage
provoked by non-grounding or non-compliance with
electric diagrams.

After making hydraulic connection, fill the heating system
in.
This operation is to be performed
when the system is cold, as
follows:
- unscrew the automatic air
discharge valve cap (A) by two
or three turns
- open the filling cock, external to
the system until water gauge
pressure reaches approx. 1 bar
(fig.8).
When the plant is full, close the
filling cock.
The boiler is equipped with an
effectiveairseparator,therefore no
manual operation is required.
The burner only starts when the
air discharge phase is completed.
Heating system emptying
Empty the system as follows:
- turn the boiler off
- connect a small rubber pipe to
boiler exhaustion valve (B)
- untighten the valve
- empty the lowest parts of the
system.

This boiler is equipped with a system controlling proper
exhaustion of fume thermostat-combustion products (fig.
9); in case of abnormality, this
system immediately stops
appliance operation.
Proper fume exhaustion control
device must always operate.
Safety devices are only to be
replaced by Technical Service
exclusively using original
components.
After repair, perform an ignition
test and check proper operation
of fume exhaustion thermostat.
Exhaustion duct and flue union
must comply with national and
local Standards and/or
regulations.
Using rigid ducts is compulsory,
junctions between elements
must be tight and all
componentsmust be resistantto
temperature, condensates and
mechanical stresses.
Non-insulated exhaustion ducts
can be dangerous.
Combustion air and room
ventilation opening must comply
with technical standards.

Connect this boiler to concentric or split air suction and
fumes exhaustion ducts, to be both taken outdoor (see
figure). Do not operate the boiler without these ducts.
Concentric ducts (diam. 60-100)
Concentric ducts can be positioned in the most suitable
installation direction, with special care to outdoor
temperature and duct length.
Non-insulated exhaustion ducts can be dangerous.
Boiler automatically adjusts ventilation following
installation type and duct length.
Do not obstruct or reduce dimensions of combustion
air suction duct.
If a longer duct is used, boiler is affected by power
losses (see table)

Follow kit instructions for installation.
Split ducts (diam. 80)
Splitducts can be positionedin the most suitableinstallation
direction, with special care to outdoor temperature and duct
length.
The table shows the straight lengths allowed and how to
install the fume flange A available with the kit.
Follow supplementary kit instructions for installation.
In case of installation with outdoor exhaustion ducts,
calculate maximum length allowed without
condensates collector by referring to outdoor
temperature instead of installation site temperature.
Thecondensates collectorcan onlybe applied tofumes
duct, max. 0.85 m from the boiler; connect water trap
to white waters exhaustion.
Fumes exhaustion duct is to be tilted by 1% to
condensates collector.
The boiler automatically adjusts ventilation following
the installation type and duct length. Do not obstruct
or reduce dimensions of ducts in any way.

The boiler is homologated for the following exhaustion
configurations:
C12 concentric wall exhaustion. Pipes can also be split,
but outlets must be concentric or close enough to be
subject to similar wind conditions
C22 concentric exhaustion in common flue (suction and
exhaustion in the same flue)
C32 roof concentric exhaustion. Same outlets as C12
C42 suction and exhaustion in common separate flues,
but subject to similar wind conditions
C62 suction and exhaustion by separately certified and
sold pipes (1856/1)

If duct length differs from length shown on the table
and the fumes flange is installed, the addition must
be lower than 10 meters; on the contrary, if the fumes
flange is not installed, the addition must be lower
than 30 meters and maximum length of each duct
must not exceed 15 meters.
Ifa longer ductis used, boileris affectedby boilerpower

8. ADJUSTMENTS
Kompakt boilers can be both operated by natural gas (G20)
or LPG (G30-G31) and have been adjusted at factory as
specified on technical plate.
If a new adjustment is required, for example after an
extraordinary maintenance, gas valve replacement or gas
transformation, follow procedure described below.
Adjustments are to be performed by qualified personnel.
ADJUSTMENT OF MAXIMUM POWER
Place system general switch on “OFF”.
Open the door
On the control panel
take function selector on CH
take CH water temperature selector on maximum value
Untighten screws fixing the skirt onto the control panel
Rotate the control panel forward, to the limit stop
Untighen - by two turns - the pressure intake screw
downstream of gas valve (A) and connect the pressure
gauge.
Electrically power the boiler by placing system general cock
on ON
Generate a request during CH phase
Check pressure read on pressure gauge is stable
Removemaximum CH adjustmentscrew protection(B) plug
Use a regular-cut screwdriver to reach the value shown on

USER’S MANUAL
The first boiler ignition must be carried out by qualified
personnel.
Afterwards, carefully follow these operations to restore
appliance operation, if necessary.
Open the gas cock to let fuel in by rotating knob under the
boiler counterclockwise.
Turn the function selector on « » (CH operation).
CH operation
For CH use, place function selector on symbol « »
(CH). Boiler is activated to produce heating Adjust room
thermostat at temperature required (about 20°C).
If programmer clock is installed, it must be in “on” position.
CH water temperature adjustment
To adjust CH water temperature, rotate knob with symbol
« » clockwise, considering that increasing length of
segments on the knob accounts for temperature increase.
Summer mode
The boiler is able to supply hot water if it has been attached
to a storage heater and a three way external valve. For hot
water mode, turn the mode selector to the symbol « »
summer.

Temporary switching off
If you are absent for a short time, place function selector
on OFF/RESET.
Antifrost function remains active.
Switching off for a long time
If you are absent for a long time, place function selector on
OFF/RESET
Close gas cock knob, under the boiler, by rotating the knob
clockwise
In this case, antifrost function is deactivated. Empty
the whole system if danger of freezing exists.
Shut-down pilot light
If the boiler does not switch on within 9-10 seconds, the
red shut-down pilot light switches on.
Reset function
Takefunction reset onto “OFFRESET” to restoreoperation,
wait for 5-6 seconds, then take function selector to the
position required, checking the pilot light is off. Now, the
boiler is automatically restarted.
NB: if reset attempts do not activate operation, contact local
Technical Assistance.

La caldera debe ser instalada por personal cualificado.
Kompakt presenta los siguientes modelos:
La instalación debe cumplir las normas y las leyes locales
vigentes.
Para una correcta instalación hay tener en cuenta que:
- la caldera no debe montarse encima de una cocina o de
otro aparato para cocinar;
- debe respetarse un espacio mínimo que permita las
intervenciones de mantenimiento.
La caldera se suministra con una placa de soporte de serie.
Realizar la instalación de la siguiente manera:
- señalar los 4 orificios para fijar la placa de soporte de la
caldera;
- fijar la placa a la pared;
- verificar que todas las medidas sean correctas y perforar
el muro;
- enganchar la caldera a la placa de soporte.
Efectuar las conexiones hidráulicas.

2. CONEXIONES HIDRÁULICAS
Antes de conectar el aparato a la red del gas verificar
que:
- se hayan respetado las normas vigentes;
- el tipo de gas corresponda al que se haya
predispuesto para el aparato;
- los tubos estén limpios.
Se prevé una canalización del gas externa. En el caso que
el tubo atraviese las paredes, deberá pasar a través del
orificiocentral de laparte inferior dela plantilla. Se aconseja
instalar un filtro de dimensiones adecuadas en la línea del
gas si la red de distribución contiene partículas sólidas.
Al terminar la instalación, verificar que los empalmes
realizados sean estancos, como prevén las normas de
instalación vigentes.

Las calderas Kompakt salen de fábrica completamente
cableadas y sólo hay que conectarlas a la red de
alimentación eléctrica y al / a los termostato/s para
habitaciones por medio de los bornes dedicados.
El aparato funciona con corriente alterna a 230 Voltios / 50
Hz, tiene una potencia eléctrica de 85 W (modelos R.A.I.)
o de 125 W (modelos R.S.I) y cumple la norma EN 60335-
1.
Realizar la conexión eléctrica de la siguiente manera:
- aflojar los tornillos que fijan el tablero al cuerpo;
- bascular el tablero hacia abajo;
- desenroscar los dos tornillos que fijan la tapa a la caja
del alimentador (fig. xxx) y retirarla; entonces se puede
acceder a los bornes y efectuar las conexiones eléctricas
como indica la figura;
- el termostato para habitaciones y/o el programador
horario se conectan como indica el esquema eléctrico.
Al terminar las operaciones, volver a montar todos los
elementos con atención.
En caso de alimentación fase – fase, verificar con un
probador de corriente cuál de los dos hilos tiene un
potencial mayor respecto a la tierra y conectarlo a la
L; conectar el otro hilo al N del mismo modo.
Es obligatorio:
- emplear un interruptor magnetotérmico onmipolar,
seccionador de línea, que cumpla las normas CEI-
EN (apertura de los contactos de por lo menos 3
mm);
- utilizar cables de sección 1,5 mm² y respetar la
conexión L (Fase) – N (Neutro);
- realizar una conexión a tierra eficaz;
- proteger el acceso a la toma de corriente después
de la instalación.
Está prohibido usar los tubos del gas y/o agua como
puesta a tierra de los aparatos eléctricos.
El fabricante no puede considerarse responsable de
posibles daños causados por la falta de una puesta a
tierra o por la inobservancia de las indicaciones de
los esquemas eléctricos.

Tras efectuar las conexiones hidráulicas , se puede llenar
la instalación de calefacción.
Esta operación debe efectuarse
con la instalación fría, realizando
las siguientes acciones:
- abrir con dos o tres giros la
mariposa de la válvula de alivio
del aire automático (A);
- abrir el grifo de llenado (externo
a la instalación) hasta que la
presión indicada por el
hidrómetro llegue a
aproximadamente 1 bar (fig. 8).
Alacabar el llenado,cerrar el grifo.
La caldera cuenta con un eficiente
separador de aire por lo que no se
necesitan operaciones manuales.
El quemador se enciende sólo si ha
terminado la fase de alivio del aire.
Vaciado de la instalación de
calefacción.
Vaciar la instalación de la siguiente
manera:
- apagar la caldera;
- conectar un tubito de goma a la
válvula de descarga de la
caldera (B);
- desenroscar la válvula;
- vaciar los puntos más bajos de
la instalación.

La caldera está dotada de un sistema que controla la
correcta evacuación de los productos de la combustión –
termostato de los humos (fig. 9)
que, en caso de anomalía,
interrumpe rápidamente el
funcionamiento del aparato.
El dispositivo de control de la
correcta evacuación de los
humos no debe estar de ningún
modo fuera de uso.
Lasustitución de losdispositivos
de seguridad debe ser llevada a
cabo exclusivamente por el
Servicio de Asistencia Técnica
utilizando únicamente
componentes originales.
Al terminar la reparación,
efectuar una prueba de
encendido y verificar el correcto
funcionamiento del termostato
de la evacuación de los humos.
El conducto de evacuación y el
empalme al conducto del humo
deben cumplir las normas y/o
los reglamentos nacionales y
locales.
Es obligatorio usar conductos
rígidos; los empalmes de los
elementosdeben serherméticos
y todos los componentes deben
resistir la temperatura, la
condensación y los esfuerzos
mecánicos.
Losconductos de evacuaciónno
aisladosson fuentes potenciales
de peligro.
Las aperturas para el aire para
la combustión y para la
ventilación de local deben
cumplir las normas técnicas.
Estaprohibido tapar oreducir las
dimensiones de las aperturas de
ventilación del local de
instalación.

seguridad debe conectarse a
un sistema de recogida
adecuado.
El fabricante no puede

INSTALACIÓN “ESTANCA” (TIPO c)
La caldera debe conectarse a conductos de evacuación de
los humos y de aspiración de aire coaxiales o con
desviaciones; ambos deberán salir al exterior (ver figura).
Sin ellos, la cadera no debe ponerse en funcionamiento.
Conductos coaxiales (Ø 60-100)
Los conductos coaxiales pueden orientarse en la dirección
más adecuada a las exigencias de la instalación, pero hay
que prestar una atención especial a la temperatura externa
y a la longitud del conducto.
Losconductos de evacuación noaislados son fuentes
potenciales de peligro.
La cadera adecúa automáticamente la ventilación en
función del tipo de instalación y de la longitud del
conducto. No obstruir ni estrangular de ningún modo
el conducto de aspiración del aire para la combustión.
Emplear un conducto de mayor longitud implica una
pérdida de potencia de la caldera (ver tabla).

Conductos con desviaciones (Ø 80)
Los conductos con desviaciones pueden orientarse en la
dirección más adecuada a las exigencias de la instalación,
pero hay que prestar una atención especial a la temperatura
dellugarde instalacióny alalongitud delconducto dehumos.
La tabla suministra las longitudes rectilíneas admitidas y
las indicaciones para instalar la brida para humos (A).
Durantela instalaciónseguir las instruccionessuministradas
con el juego accesorio.
En caso de instalaciones con tramos de evacuación
externa, para calcular la longitud máxima consentida
sin recogedor de condensación, tener en cuenta la
temperatura externa en vez de la del lugar de
instalación.
El recogedor de condensación se aplica sólo al
conductode humos, a menosde 0,85 mde lacaldera;
conectar el sifón del recogedor de condensación a un
desagüe de aguas blancas.
Prever una inclinación del conducto de evacuación
de los humos del 1% hacia el recogedor de
condensación.
La cadera adecúa automáticamente la ventilación en
función del tipo de instalación y de la longitud del
conducto. No obstruir ni estrangular de ningún modo
los conductos.

La cadera está homologada para las siguientes
configuraciones de evacuación:
C12 Evacuación concéntrica a pared. Los tubos también
pueden desviarse, pero las salidas deben ser
concéntricas o estar bastante cerca para someterse
a condiciones de viento parecidas.
C22 Evacuación concéntrica en conducto del humo
común (aspiración y evacuación en el mismo
conducto).
C32 Evacuación concéntrica a techo. Salidas como para
C12.
C42 Evacuación y aspiración en conductos del humo
comunes, separadas pero sometidas a condiciones
de viento parecidas.
C62 Evacuación y aspiración realizadas con tubos
comercializados y certificados independientemente

En el caso que la longitud de los conductos fuera
diferente de la que aparece en la tabla, con la brida
para humos instalada, la suma debe ser inferior a
10 metros en cualquier caso mientras si la brida
para humos no está instalada, la suma siempre debe
ser inferior a 30 metros y la longitud máxima de
cada conducto no debe superar los 15 metros.
Emplear conductos de mayor longitud implica una
pérdida de potencia de la caldera.

Las calderas Kompakt se suministran para funcionar con
gas metano (G20) o bien con GPL (G30 – G31) y se regulan
en la fábrica como indica la placa de características
técnicas.
Si fuera necesario efectuar de nuevo las regulaciones, por
ejemplo después de un mantenimiento extraordinario, de
sustituir la válvula del gas o de cambiar el tipo de gas, hay
que seguir los procedimientos descritos a continuación.
Las regulaciones deben ser llevadas a cabo por personal
cualificado.
REGULACIÓN DE LA POTENCIA MÁXIMA
Colocarel interruptorgeneral de lainstalación en“apagado”.
Abrir la puerta.
Llevarel selectorde función delpanel decontrol a “invierno”.
Llevar el selector de temperatura del agua de la calefacción
al valor máximo.
Desenroscar los tornillos que fijan el cuerpo al tablero.
Bascular completamente el tablero hacia abajo.
Aflojar con dos giros el tornillo de la toma de presión aguas
arriba de la válvula del gas (A) y conectar el manómetro.
Alimentar eléctricamente la caldera colocando el interruptor
general de la instalación en “encendido”.
Cursar una solicitud en fase de calefacción.
Verificarquela presiónque indicael manómetroseaestable.
Quitar el tapón de protección del tornillo de regulación del
nivel máximo de la calefacción (B).
Con un destornillador de corte regular el tornillo hasta
obtener el valor indicado en la tabla.
