2. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WARNING – To reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock, or serious personal injury:
• The device is intended only for domestic/private use, not
for commercial use.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Keep packaging material away from children (risk of
suffocation).
• Only operate the device with the USB cable provided.
• Place the device on a firm, even surface.
• Before use, ensure all packaging materials are removed
and inspect the device and accessories for visible damage.
If you have any doubts, do not use the device and contact
your retailer or the specified Customer Service address.
• Keep the device and USB cable away from water.
• Never plug in or unplug the device when you have wet
hands.

• Do not touch the unit with wet hands while it is plugged
in; do not allow any water to be sprayed onto the unit.
Operate only when the unit is completely dry.
• In the event of defects or operational faults, switch the
device off and disconnect it immediately.
• Arrange the power cord so that no one will trip over it.
• Do not immerse the unit into water and do not use it in wet
rooms such as a bathroom, laundry room, or pool area.
• Do not cover or store the unit while it is warm.
• Keep the USB cable away from heated objects and flames.
• Protect the unit from strong impacts.
• Do not disconnect the device from the USB port by pulling
on the cable.

temperature fluctuations, and direct sunlight.

press again to change colors,
or press and hold to shut off
the lamp.

2. Wi-Fi Indicator
Flashes quickly when in network configuration mode,
illuminates steadily in red when Wi-Fi connection is
established.
3. Wi-Fi Button
Press and hold for five seconds to enter configuration
mode.
6. Download the App and Register
1. Search the keyword “Smart Life” in the Apple
App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play (for
Android™ devices) to download the App.
2. Open the App and register an account to log in.

7. Connect the Lamp to a Network
1. Power on the lamp and ensure your mobile device’s Wi-Fi
is turned on and connected to your Wi-Fi network.
NOTE: Only 2.4 GHz (b/g/n) networks are compatible;
5 GH networks are not compatible.
2. Tap the “+” symbol on the
top right of your device’s
screen and select “Lighting
devices” from the list.
3. Activate Wi-Fi
configuration mode on the lamp by
pressing and holding the Wi-Fi Button
for five seconds; the Wi-Fi Indicator will
flash rapidly, indicating the lamp is ready
to configure.

4. Enter your Wi-Fi network’s password to start
connecting the lamp to your
network.
5. Once the lamp has
connected to the network, you can control it within the
App or through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. You
can also share it with your family and name it whatever
you want for use with voice control.

8. How to Connect to Amazon Alexa
1. Open the Amazon Alexa App and tap “Skill” on the menu
to go to the Amazon Skill Store.
2. Search the skill name “Smart Life” in the search bar.
3. Enable the Skill and type in
your login information from
the App account to finish
linking.
4. Activate Wi-Fi configuration
mode on the lamp
5. Tap “Discover Devices” to sync the lamp to Alexa; after
about 20 seconds, the lamp should be discovered. Alexa
will tell you “I found xxx devices.” Now you can use voice
control on your device through your Amazon Alexa.

The following voice commands are supported:

9. How to Connect to Google
Assistant
1. Open the Google Home App
and tap “Home Control” on
the menu.
2. Tap the “+” icon located
on the bottom right of your
device’s screen.
3. Find “Smart Life” in the list.
4. E nter your login information
from the App account to link.

5. After linking, you can assign
the lamp to a room and it
will be listed in the Home
Control list.
The following voice commands are supported:
Hey Google, turn on/off “xxx”
Hey Google, set the “xxx” to [color]
Hey Google, set the “xxx” to [percentage]

10. How to Connect to IFTTT
If This Then That, also known as IFTTT, is a free web-based
service to create chains of simple conditional statements,
called applets. An applet is triggered by changes that occur
within other web services such as Facebook
®
or
Instagram
®
.

1. Open the IFTTT app and type
“Smart Life” in the search bar.
2. Tap “Connect” and then
enter your login information
from the App account to
link.
3. After linking to IFTTT, you can create an applet to link
with other IFTTT services. Tap “New Applet” and follow
the instructions to set up triggers and actions. You can
also add Applets other users have created by searching
through the Discover and Search tabs.

11. Care and Maintenance
• Clean the device with a dry cloth.
• Do not use any abrasive cleaning products.
• Ensure that no water enters the device. If water reaches
the internals of the device, ensure it is completely dry
before reuse.
• Never immerse the device or power cord in water or other
liquids.
• Protect the device from impacts, moisture, dust, chemicals,
large temperature fluctuations, and nearby sources of heat
(ovens, heaters).
Disposal
Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose
of the device in accordance with local regulations. If you
have any questions, please contact the local authorities
responsible for waste disposal.
