INTRODUCTION
Congratulations for selecting the X9 Elliptical as a fitness resource. The BH FITNESS Elliptical
offers many exercise programs that benefit users of all levels and ages. The X9 is designed to
make your workouts more effective and enjoyable.
Please read this manual carefully before using the X9. This will allow you to get a full
understanding of all the features the BH FITNESS Elliptical provides. If you have questions or
concerns, please contact BH FITNESS or any authorized BH FITNESS distributors in your

SECTION 1 - IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read all instructions before using the Unit.
User Safety:
Before using this or any other exercise equipment consult your family physician or health care
professional in order to develop a well-planned exercise program to fit your health needs. If you
encounter any pain or breathing discomfort while working out, STOP!,and consult a physician before
continuing.
1. Close supervision is necessary when this unit is used by or near children, invalids or disabled
persons. Children are curious and vulnerable to accidents. Do not use the unit as a toy.
2. Do not wear loose or dangling clothing while using the unit.
3. Maximum user weight is 350 lbs.
4. Only one person can use the unit at a time.
5. Keep hands away from moving parts.
6. The owner is responsible for explaining safety instructions to each user.
Unit Safety:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury to persons or inflicting the
harm of a burn:
7. Never leave the unit unattended when plugged in. Unplug the unit from the electrical power before
leaving the room, when unused and before servicing or adding or removing parts.
8. Unplug the unit prior to cleaning to reduce the risk of electric shock, serious burns, and the risk of
injuries.
9. Never operate this unit if it has a damaged electrical cord or plug. Do not operate this unit if it is not
working properly. Do not operate this unit if it has been dropped or damaged. Do not operate this unit
if it has been immersed into water. Return the unit to a service center for examination and repair.
10. Do not pull or carry the unit by the electrical cord. Do not use the cord as a handle.
11. Keep the electrical cord away from heated surfaces.
12. Connect this unit to a properly grounded 110-120V, 15 or 20 Amp dedicated outlet only.
13. Call your service center or BH Fitness with your concerns before taking your unit in for repair.
14. Do not place sharp objects near the unit. Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
15. Do not use outdoors.
16. Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being
administered.

17. Use the unit only as described in this manual. Only use attachments recommended by the
manufacturer.
18. For safety, keep a minimum clearance of 18” on the front and each side and 24” at the rear of the unit.
Place the unit on a flat stable surface.
POWER SUPPLY
Your X9 Elliptical uses a two prong external power connector for use on a nominal 110-120 volt
circuit. Use only the power connector provided with your X9 Elliptical. If you misplace this power
connector, please contact BH FITNESS for an original replacement. Use of the wrong power
supply may cause damage to your X9 Elliptical. Do not use adapter or extension cord with this
product.
CLEANING
Clean with soap and slightly damp cloth only; never use solvents.

For safety, it is recommended that a minimum of two people assemble this elliptical
trainer.
STEP 1. Assembly of Frame and Front Stabilizer.
1.1 Align the bolts in the front stabilizer with the holes in the front of the frame. Assemble the
frame and front stabilizer with acorn nuts as shown in the illustration above.

STEP 2. Assembly of Frame and Running Leg Set / Rear Stabilizer (RLS/RS).
1.1 Attach the RLS/RS to the main frame as shown in the drawing above.
1.2 Verify that all screws are aligned properly before tightening.

STEP 3. Assembly of Middle Frame Cover and Running Leg Set / Rear Stabilizer
(RLS/RS).
1.1 Align the hole in the middle cover with the hole in the center of the RLS/RS and attach with
screw.
1.2 Unscrew the screws. Place the Rear Stabilizer Cover onto the rear stabilizer of the
RLS/RS, tighten the screws.

STEP 4. Assembly of Pedal Rods and Frame.
1.1 Slide the wave washer onto the left crankshaft of the frame.
1.2 One person should hold the pedal rod steel tube while the other person attaches the tube
to the crankshaft. Slide the left pedal rod steel tube onto the crankshaft on the left side of
the frame followed by the flat washer and fasten with bolt.
1.3 Repeat for the right side.
1.4 Make sure the pedal rod and the crankshaft are fastened tightly to avoid injury.

STEP 5. Assembly of Mast and Frame.
1.1 Insert the Mast control wires and Mast into the Control Tube plastic Cover, then insert the
Mast into the tube of the main frame.
1.2 One person should hold the mast while the other person connects the mast and the frame
and fastens them with (1) washer, (3) screws and (2) nuts.
1.3 Connect the PCB cable connectors together. Be sure to align them in the right direction
before pressing them together. Look at the next page.

Connect the PCB Cable
CAUTION:
•Change direction of the Control
Tube plastic Cover and insert the
cables as shown to the right
zMove Control Tube plastic Cover
back into correct position.
zPress the plastic Cover into place.

STEP 6. Assembly of Lower Handrails, Mast and Pedals.
NOTE:
1. The left and right Lower Handrails are different. Check the labels for proper assembly.
2. During assembly, be careful not to bump into any protruding parts.
1.1 Slide a Plastic Spacer and a Wave Washer onto the left Lower Handrail horizontal bar.
Connect the upper part of the left Lower Handrail with the horizontal bar on the Mast.
Fasten with Washer and Screw.
1.2 Connect the left lower part of the Handrail with the bearing at the end of the Pedal Rod.
Fasten with Nut and Screw.
1.3 Repeat for right side.

STEP 7. Assembly of Upper Handrail to Lower Handrail.
NOTE: The Upper left and right handrails are different. Check the labels for proper assembly.
1.1 Fit the Upper left handrail into Lower left Handrail; fasten with nuts and screws.
1.2 Repeat for right side.

STEP 8. Assembly of Handrail Covers.
1.1 Place the front left and rear left Handrail Covers on the horizontal bar. Check their
alignment while fastening them with Screws.
1.2 Repeat for right side.

STEP 9. Install Pedal Covers over the Pedal Rods.
1.1 Place the two Pedal Covers over the left Pedal Rod. Verify the hole on the plastic and the
hole on the steel tube are aligned and seated properly. Fasten the plastic covers with two
screws.
1.2 Place the left Pedal Covers on the Pedal Rod and fasten with a screw.
1.3 Repeat for right side.

STEP 10. Assembly of Foot Pedals to Pedal Rod Base Plates.
1.1 Make sure the bolt holes on the left foot Pedal and left base plate are aligned. Fasten them
all loosely the first time with Flat Washers and Screws. Re-tighten all in order to prevent
loosening during use.
1.2 Repeat for right side.
