PRE-INSTALLATION
Before you begin
Compatibility
Ensure the piping is either straight vertical SCH 40
or SCH 80.
PRESSURE
Do not exceed maximum pressure.
High pressure and temperature will
damage the meter.
CAUTION
Always wear eye protection when
installing or removing ow meters.
CAUTION
Follow these instructions before
installing your ow meter to avoid
failure.
UV WARNING
Do not install the meter in direct
sunlight. The meter can be damaged
by UV light.
Suitability
It is the responsibility of the user to determine the

INSTALLATION
Step-By-Step
Cleaning
The tapered tube may be cleaned with a soft bottle brush.
Use a MILD soap and water solution for cleaning purposes.
Note the oats “up” position for re-assembly.
2Install
Use only PTFE tape on the threaded adapters.
Pipe dope and glue will damage the polysulfone
meter body and ttings. Alternatively, install the
ow meter after all glued ttings have dried and
fumes have been purged from the system.
Read
Avoid imposing a sudden burst of ow to the
meter. Solenoid valves may cause the oat to
impact the top oat stop with destructive force.
Read oat at the top or at the widest diameter.

1Prepare
The ow meter must be installed in a vertical
plane to ensure accuracy. Misalignment may
damage the ow meter and also cause the
oring seals to leak.
