BODUM AUSTRALIA WARRANTY
We are pleased to say that the return rate on BODUM® product is very low; however, should you
need to process a returned BODUM® product under warranty, please follow the simple procedure
below. We have tried to make it as simple as possible for both yourself and the end consumer.
BODUM® AUSTRALIA WARRANTY PROCEDURE
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Consumers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for
any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Consumers are also entitled to have the goods
repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount
to a major failure.
The beneits to BODUM® customers given by the warranty set out below are in addition to other
rights and remedies under a law in relation to the BODUM® product to which the warranty relates.
To process a faulty BODUM® product you will require a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
Returned items without a RA number are not able to be processed for credit or replacement.
Contact BODUM® on [phone] for a RA number.
Faulty product does not include items which have incurred wear and tear through general home
use, misuse or commercial use. Warranty does not include accidental glass breakages.
WARRANTY PERIOD:
 •eBODUM®: 2 year replacement warranty from the date of purchase for electrical appliances
where a defect appears and BODUM® is notiied within 2 years from date of purchase.
Proof of purchase: any claim from the end consumer must be validated with a copy of proof of
purchase; without providing a proof of purchase BODUM® Australia will not be able to process
the claim. Proof of purchase includes original purchase receipt/docket or credit card statement
showing the purchase amount.
Replacement or credit: once claim is validated, if possible please replace the faulty item from
stock on hand. If a customer requires a replacement for an item which you don’t have on hand,
please have the item added to your next order.
Return or work order: to ensure that the return process is as easy as possible for both you and the
end consumer, we don’t do work orders or product repairs.
Once you have received a RA number and sighted the product please safely dispose of the faulty
item. We don’t require the faulty product to be sent back to us. However, if you come across an
unusual fault which you think we need to be aware of please send it back to BODUM® Australia
Head Oice.

complince with the instructions nd wrning cn result in
hzrdous situtions.
When using electricl pplinces, bsic sfety precutions
should lwys be followed, including the following:

dmges. Do not use if you re not certin tht everything is
in perfect condition. In the event of doubt, plese contct your
retiler.

bgs, etc.) in  sfe plce not ccessible by children (choking

This device is designed for indoor household use only. Do not
use it outdoors.
Do not plce the device on or next to  turned on gs or electri-
cl stove or into  preheted oven.
Do not touch the surfces of the device while it is in opertion.
These surfces will be extremely hot while the device is in use.
Use hndles or knobs.

tht your Sndwich Toster is n electricl pplince.
To clen the device, simply wipe it o with  moist rg.
Turn the temperture control to setting «I» nd unplug the
device from mins to turn o the device.
Pull the plug, not the cord in order to unplug the device.
Mke sure tht the cord does not hng down over the edge of
 tble or work surfce nd do not llow it to come into contct
with hot surfces.
Do not use electricl devices under ny circumstnces if their
cords or plugs re dmged or fter improper functioning hs
been detected or if the pplince hs been dmged in ny
wy. In this cse, plese bring your pplince to the nerest
mnufcturer uthorized service loction for inspection, repir
or proper set-up.
Do not ever ttempt to replce the power cord of this device
yourself, s specil tools re required to perform this kind of
work. Hve the repir or replcement performed exclusively by
 service loction uthorized by the mnufcturer so tht the
sfe opertion of the device will be wrrnted.
Never immerse the power cord, housing nd plug into wter
or other liquids s this could led to ires, electricl shock nd

Use extreme cution when moving n pplince contining hot
oil or other hot liquids.
FOR USA AND CANADA MARKET ONLY If children or individuls
who re not fmilir with the device should use it, strict supervi-
sion is mndtory.
MAINS PLUG This device hs  polrized plug (one of the con-
tct pins is wider thn the other). In order to reduce the risk of
electricl shock, the plug cn be connected with mins only by
itting the plug correctly into the outlet. If the plug does not it
into your receptble, turn it 180° nd try gin. If it should still
not it, contct  certiied electricin. Do not ttempt to replce
the plug yourself.

SETTING UP
THE APPLIANCE
SPECIAL SAFETY
INFORMATION
Alwys plce the device on  stble, level surfce tht is
neither hot nor nywhere ner  het source. The set-up
surfce must be dry. Keep the device nd its power cord out
of children’s rech.
Double-check to mke sure tht the voltge rting on the
identiiction lbel of the device is congruent with the mins
voltge of your speciic region. Plug the device only into 
properly grounded socket with n output rting of t lest 6A
(if you re using  fult protection switch plte (RCD), plese
sk n electricin for dvice). While the device is in opertion,
the socket must be esily ccessible in the event of n emer-
gency. The mnufcturer shll not ssume ny libility for
ccidents resulting from deicient or non-existing grounding.
If the socket should not be comptible with the plug of your
pplince, plese hve the socket replced by  certiied
electricin.
Do not use ny metl prts, knives, forks or similr objects
to plce sndwiches into the toster or to remove them.
This could dmge the nti-stick coting. Alwys use plstic
or wooden spoons/tools.
An extension cord cn be used with this device provided
the pplicble precutions re tken.
If you re plnning to use n extension cord, mke sure
tht the electricl indices of the extension cord re t lest
the sme s those of the device. If the device is grounded,
the extension cord must be three-prong nd grounded.
The longer cord must be positioned in such  mnner tht
it does not hng down over the edge of  tble or of 
work surfce. Also mke sure tht children cnnot pull on
it nd tht it does not crete  stumbling/tripping hzrd
unintentionlly.
Before its irst use, mke sure you clen the device. See
chpter MAINTENANCE AND CARE.
Distribute some cooking oil over the tosting surfces. Allow
the device to het up in setting «5» for 5 minutes while it is
empty nd the cover is open. Next, turn the temperture con-
trol down to setting «I», unplug it nd wit until the pplince
hs cooled down.
