need to return your BODUM® product under warranty, please follow the simple procedure below.
BODUM AUSTRALIA WARRANTY PROCEDURE
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any
other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or
replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major
failure.
Faulty product does not include items which have incurred wear and tear through general home
use, misuse or commercial use.
The beneits to BODUM® customers given by the warranty on e-BODUM® electrical products set
out below are in addition to other rights and remedies under a law in relation to the BODUM®
product to which the warranty relates. Eective 1 April 2014 only e-BODUM® electrical products
purchased in Australia and marked with the code ‘AUS’ and ‘ANZ’ are covered by our express
warranty.
Returns procedure: to return a faulty BODUM® product you can either return it to your store of
purchase or contact BODUM® Australia directly at our oice on 02 9692 0582.
Warranty period:
e-BODUM®: 2 year replacement warranty from the date of purchase in Australia for electrical
appliances with code ‘AUS’ and ‘ANZ’ only where a defect appears and BODUM® Australia is noti-
ied within 2 years from date of purchase.
Proof of purchase: your claim must be validated with a copy of proof of purchase. BODUM®
Australia will not be able to process the return without providing a proof of purchase. Proof of
purchase includes your original purchase receipt/docket or credit card statement showing the
purchase amount.
Replacement: to ensure that your claim is dealt with quickly and easily, we don’t do product
repairs. We will replace your faulty product with a new one either through your retailer or BODUM®
Australia. If you do not wish to receive a replacement, a full refund will be given.

should lwys be followed, including the following:
The crumb try (H) should be emptied regulrly s  buildup of
crumbs could be  potentil ire hzrd. After tosting, llow the
toster to cool down thoroughly, nd then slide out the crumb
try (H) nd empty.
Before operting this pplince for the irst time, red ll
instructions. Filure to observe the instructions nd sfety notes
my result in hzrdous conditions.
After unpcking the pplince, check it for dmge. If in doubt,
do not use it, contct your deler.
Keep the pckging mterils (crdbord, plstic bgs etc.) out
of rech of children (dnger of suoction or injury).
This pplince is designed for household use only. Do not use
outdoors. Do not plce on or ner  hot gs or electric burner, or
in  heted oven.
The mnufcturer rejects ny libility for dmge or injury cused
by improper or unresonble use. Do not use pplince for other
then intended use.

Never touch the pplince with dmp or wet hnds. Do not
touch the mins cble or plug with wet hnds. Alwys unplug
the pplince by holding the plug, not the cord. Do not let cord
hng over edge of tble or counter, or touch hot surfces. Do not
operte ny pplince with  dmged cord or plug or fter the
pplince mlfunctions, or hs been dmged in ny mnner.
In order to void  hzrd, return pplince to the nerest uthorized
service fcility for exmintion, repir, or djustment.
The use of ny ccessory ttchment, not recommended by the
pplince mnufcturer, my result in ire, electric shock or injury
to persons.
In the cse of  fult or mlfunction occurring, switch the pplince
o; do not ttempt to repir it yourself. Hve repirs to the pplince
crried out only by  customer service workshop tht is uthorised
by the mnufcturer. Filure to comply with the bove sfety notes
cn compromise the sfety of the pplince.
Never ttempt to exchnge the mins cble of the pplince s
specil tools re required for this. To ensure continued sfety of the
pplince, if the cble needs to be repired or exchnged, hve this
crried out exclusively by  customer service workshop uthorised
by the mnufcturer.
Unplug from outlet when not in use nd before clening. Allow to cool
before putting on or tking o prts. Never immerse the cord, plug
or ny other prt of pplinces in wter: Only clen the pplince
using  dmp cloth. Remember this is n electricl pplince.
To disconnect, turn ny control to “o”, then remove plug from wll
outlet.
To protect ginst ire, electric shock nd injury to persons do not
immerse cord, plugs or pplince body in wter or other liquid.
When the pplince is plugged into the electricl socket nd whilst
switched on never plce hnds into the bred tosting slots.
Do not insert foil covered, oversized foods or utensils into the toster
s they my involve  risk of ire or electric shock.
Never insert shrp or brsive objects into the slots, s this will cuse
dmge.
The sides of the toster nd the res surrounding the bred slots
become very hot during use: operting the toster should be crried
out touching only the plstic button nd hndles.
Do not cover the pplince while it is in use.
Do not wrp the mins cord round the body of the toster
during or fter use. The cord storge fcility is locted on the
underside of the toster.
A ire my occur if tosters re covered or touching lmmble
mteril, including curtins, drperies, wll, nd the like, when in
opertion.
Do not ttempt to dislodge food when toster is plugged in.
The bred my burn, therefore do not use the toster ner or below
combustible mteril, such s curtins. The toster should be
ttended when in use.

externl timer or seprte remote-control system.

For US/Cnd Customers only. This pplince hs  polrized
plug (one blde is wider thn the other). To reduce the risk of
electric shock, this plug is intended to it into  polrized outlet
only one wy. If the plug does not it fully into the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not it, contct  quliied electricin. Do
not modify the plug in ny wy.
Crefully unpck the toster nd remove ll of the
pckging mteril.
Before using for the irst time, to eliminte the new smell,
Plce the pplince on  stble lt surfce which is
neither hot nor ner  het source. The surfce must be dry.
Keep the pplince nd its mins cble out of rech of children.
Ensure tht the voltge indicted on the rting plte of the
pplince grees with the mins voltge in your re. Connect
the pplince only to  properly erthed power point with 
minimum output of Europen 5A/US 8A. (Use  residul current
device (RCD) or seeks the dvice of n electricin.) While the
pplince is in use, the mins plug must be ccessible in cse
of n emergency. The mnufcturer declines ny libility for
ccidents cused by fulty or non existing erthing of the
pplince.
If the power point is unsuitble for ccommodting the plug of
your pplince, hve the power point chnged by  licensed
electricin.

Ensure there is plenty of ventiltion in the room.
A short power-supply cord should be used to reduce the risk
resulting from becoming entngled in or tripping over  longer
cord.
Longer (detchble power-supply cords or) extension cords re
vilble nd my be used if cre is exercised in their use.
If n extension cord is used,
1) The mrked electricl rting of the extension cord should be
t lest s gret s the electricl rting of the pplince nd
2) The longer cord should be rrnged so tht it will not drpe
over the counter top or tble top where it cn be pulled on by
children or tripped over unintentionlly.
Ensure control lever (D) is rised.
Plug (K) into  suitble mins supply socket.
Insert up to two slices of bred into tosting slots (E).
Turn the vrible browning setting knob (A) dil to
required setting. (1=lightest, 5=drkest)
Press down control lever (D) until it locks.
Once the chosen level of browning hs been reched, the tost
will utomticlly rise redy for removl from the slots.
If the irst slices re not browned suiciently, select  higher
setting (A) next time.
If you wnt to interrupt the tosting process, press the stop
button (C) t ny time to stop the tosting process.
When using bred stright from the freezer set the browning
control to the required position nd press down the control
lever (D) until it locks. Press within 2 sec. the defrost button (B).
The defrost light will remin on while the defrost function is in
use, nd tosting time will be utomticlly extended. Alwys
keep n eye on the bred for ny signs of burning.
Press the stop button (C) t ny time to stop the tosting process.
CAUTION:
Be cutious of hot surfces! Coming into contct with hot
surfces cn cuse burns.

Slide the lift button (G) to lift the integrted wrming rck (F).
Put the buns nd croissnts to wrm on the rck (F).
Press down control lever (D) until it locks.
You cn store excess power cord (K) by winding round the cord
storge (I) inside the bse.
Alwys remove plug from the power outlet, before
clening.
To clen the inside, turn toster upside down over the sink nd
gently shke. After tosting, llow the toster to cool down
thoroughly, nd then slide out the crumb try (H) nd empty.
Use  soft dmpened cloth to wipe the outside of the toster nd
dry with  soft, dry cloth.
Never use chemicls, steel wool or brsive gents to clen the
exterior of the toster.
Do not immerse your toster in wter.
Do not use ny shrp or pointed rticles for clening the inside
s this will dmge the heting element.
Never put metl objects or your ingers into the tosting slots.
Any other servicing should be performed by n uthorized
service representtive.
For best results use bred slices of even thickness, size nd
freshness. Select  lower setting if:
) using stle bred (tosts more quickly thn fresh bred)
b) using thin bred (tosts more quickly thn thick bred)
To keep items such s muins, crumpets bgels wrm slide the
button to lift the rck nd put the items t the top.
To chieve even browning, we suggest  minimum of
30 seconds between ech tosting to llow the control to
utomticlly reset.
Do not use very thin or broken slices of bred.
Do not insert other foods tht my drip during the tosting
process. As well s mking the clening procedure more diicult
it my be  potentil ire hzrd.It is lso very importnt to clen
the crumb try beforeech use.
Do not insert (by force) foods tht re too big for the slots.
Do not insert forks or other utensils into the toster in order
to remove bred, s it my dmge the resistnce coils of
the pplince. Remove the plug from the socket nd turn the
pplince over, gently shking it to remove the lodged items.

Pcken Sie den Toster vorsichtig us und entfernen Sie ds
gesmte Verpckungsmteril.
Betreiben Sie den Toster vor der ersten Verwendung
mindestens fünf Minuten lng ohne Brot, dmit sich die
zunchst entstehenden unngenehmen Gerüche verlüchtigen
können. Achten Sie druf, dss der Rum dbei gut belüftet ist.
Ein kurzes Anschlusskbel verwenden, um die Gefhr des
Verfngens oder Stolperns durch ein lnges Kbel zu verringern.
Lngere (bnehmbre Anschlusskbel oder) Verlngerungskbel
sind erhltlich und können genutzt werden, wenn bei deren
Verwendung die Sicherheitsmßnhmen bechtet werden.
Wird ein Verlngerungskbel verwendet,
1) müssen die ngegebenen Nenndten des Anschlusskbels
mindestens so groß wie die Nenndten des Gerts sein und
2) ds lngere Kbel muss so verlegt sein, dss es nicht über die
Arbeits oder Tischpltte hngt und von Kindern herusgezogen
werden knn oder mn versehentlich drüber stolpert.

Der Bettigungshebel (D) muss oben stehen.
Stecken Sie den Netzstecker (K) in eine Steckdose.
Schieben Sie bis zu zwei Scheiben Brot in die Tostschlitze (E).
Stellen Sie mit der Brunungseinstellung (A) die gewünschte
Brunung ein. (1 = hell, 5 = dunkel)
Schieben Sie den Bettigungshebel (D) nch unten bis er
einrstet.
Sobld ds Brot den gewünschten Brunungsgrd erreicht
ht, wird der Tost utomtisch ngehoben und knn us den
Schlitzen genommen werden.
Sind die ersten Scheiben nicht strk genug gebrunt, whlen Sie
mit der Brunungseinstellung (A) eine höhere Einstellung beim
nchsten Tosten.
Wenn Sie ds Tosten unterbrechen möchten, können Sie dies
jederzeit mit der Stopptste (C) tun.
Wenn Sie tiefgefrorenes Brot verwenden, stellen Sie die
Brunungseinstellung (A) uf den gewünschten Wert und
drücken Sie den Bettigungshebel (D) herunter, bis er
einrstet. Drücken Sie innerhlb von zwei Sekunden die
Auftutste (B). Whrend des Auftubetriebs leuchtet die
entsprechende Kontrolllmpe. Die Tostzeit wird utomtisch
verlngert. Achten Sie stets uf ds Brot, so dss Sie ein
Verbrennen verhindern können.
Sie können ds Tosten jederzeit mit der Stopptste (C)
bbrechen.
Bettigen Sie die Tste zum Anheben des Aufstzes (G), um den
integrierten Aufwrmufstz (F) nzuheben.
Legen Sie die ufzuwrmenden Bckwren uf den Aufstz.
Schieben Sie den Bettigungshebel (D) nch unten bis
ereinrstet.
INSTALLATION Stellen Sie ds Gert uf eine stbile ebene Flche, die weder
heiss wird noch sich in der Nhe einer Hitzequelle beindet. Die
Stndlche muss trocken sein. Hlten Sie Gert und Netzkbel
usser Reichweite von Kindern.
Achten Sie druf, dss die uf dem Typenschild des Gertes
ngegebene Spnnung der Netzspnnung in Ihrem Lnd
entspricht. Schliessen Sie ds Gert nur n eine ordnungsgemss
geerdete Schutzkontktsteckdose mit einer Belstbrkeit von
mindestens 5 A (Europ) bzw. 8 A (USA) n.
(Verwenden Sie einen Fehlerstrom-Schutzschlter.
(FISchlter). Ihr Elektriker knn Sie hierzu berten.)
Der Netzstecker muss us Sicherheitsgründen zugnglich sein,
whrend Sie ds Gert verwenden. Der Hersteller hftet nicht für
Unflle, die durch fehlerhfte oder fehlende Erdung des Gerts
verurscht werden.
Flls sich die Netzsteckdose nicht für den Stecker Ihres Gerts
eignet, lssen Sie die Steckdose von einem lizenzierten Elektriker
ustuschen.
KABELHALTERUNG
VERWENDEN Überschüssiges Netzkbel (K) knn um die Kbelhlterung (I) im
Gertefuss ufgewickelt werden.
