Plug the power cord into a power outlet.
Place the BONECO S250 on a stable surface. Fill the water tank with cold tap water.

en HANDLING
CONTROLLING HUMIDITY
The BONECO S250 is equipped with a hygrostat that con-
tinuously monitors the humidity in the room and regulates
the unit's operation. The adjustable range is between
30% and 70%.
1. Switch on the BONECO S250.
2. Use the and buttons to set the desired hu-
midity. The display shows the note ("de-
sired").
3. A few seconds after the last input, the display
changes back to . The display now shows
the current humidity again.
The BONECO S250 stops humidification once the desired
value is reached. Humidification continues automatically
as soon as the set value is no longer met.
REGULATING OUTPUT
The performance of the BONECO S250 is regulated in
two levels.
1. Press the button to switch between the two per-
formance levels.
The selected level is shown on the display by the symbols
(“High”) and (“Low”).
The selected level does not affect the measurement or the
control functions of the hygrostat.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Always unplug the BONECO S250 before you start
cleaning it! Failure to do so can result in electric
shock and fatal injury!
Do not use alcohol or corrosive cleaning agents for
cleaning.
CLEANING THE HOUSING
In most cases, a dry cloth can be used for cleaning. If
stubborn dirt is present, clean the housing using a damp
cloth. Add a small amount of dishwashing detergent to
the water. Household cloths and window cleaners can
also be used.
REPLACING THE ANTI-MINERAL PAD
The anti-mineral pad absorbs lime in the water so that it
is not released into the ambient air. Over time, the anti-
mineral pad becomes hard and less effective due to the
absorbed lime.
Check the anti-mineral pad after each cleaning. Replace
the anti-mineral pad if it feels hard and rigid. You can
find replacements at your BONECO specialist dealer or in
our online store at this address: www.shop.boneco.us

PROCEDURE
Although the anti-mineral pad absorbs most of the lime
in the water, the heating plate of the BONECO S250 ex-
periences calcification after an extended operating time.
An upcoming need for cleaning is indicated on the display
by the symbol.
To make descaling easy and convenient, the BONECO
S250 is equipped with an automatic cleaning function.
This warms and cools the heating plate multiple times in
order that the lime becomes crumbly and can be easily
removed.
STARTING THE CLEANING
1. Switch off the BONECO S250 and let it cool down for
1 hour.
2. Remove the anti-mineral pad and empty the water
tank.
3. Mix 1 bag EZCal®with 32 oz. (1 liter) of warm tap
water.
4. Add the mixture to the BONECO S250.
5. Press the button for 3 seconds to start the clean-
ing.
6. Select the duration of cleaning you want (1 to 9 hours)
using the and buttons. If stubborn mineral de-
posits are left after cleaning, you can always extend
or repeat the cleaning process.
7. Unplug the BONECO S250 and rinse the water tank
with tap water.
8. Place the anti-mineral pad back into the water tank.

AJUSTEMENT DE L’HUMIDITÉ DE L’AIR
Le BONECO S250 est équipé d’un hygrostat qui contrôle
en permanence l’humidité de l’air de la pièce et ajuste le
fonctionnement en conséquence. La plage réglable est
comprise entre 30% et 70%.
1. Mettez le BONECO S250 en marche.
2. Utilisez les touches et pour régler l’humi-
dité de l’air souhaitée. L’écran affiche l’indication
(«souhaité»).
3. Quelques secondes après la dernière entrée, l’af-
fichage revient à . Maintenant, l’écran
affiche à nouveau l’humidité actuelle de l’air.
Le BONECO S250 interrompt l’humidification dès que la
valeur souhaitée est atteinte. L’humidification se poursuit
automatiquement tant que la valeur souhaitée n’est pas
atteinte.
AJUSTEMENT DE LA PUISSANCE
La puissance du BONECO S250 se règle selon deux ni-
veaux.
1. Appuyez sur la touche pour passer d’un niveau
de puissance à l’autre.
Le niveau choisi est affiché à l’écran au moyen des icônes
(«High», haut) et («Low», faible).
Le niveau choisi n’a aucune influence sur la mesure ou la
commande par l’hygrostat.

CONSIGNES DE SÉCURITÉ
Avant de commencer le nettoyage, débranchez tou-
jours le BONECO S250 du réseau électrique ! Le
non-respect de cette instruction peut causer des
chocs électriques et mettre des vies en danger!
Pour le nettoyage, n’utilisez pas de l’alcool ou un
produit de nettoyage agressif.
NETTOYAGE DU BOÎTIER
Dans la plupart des cas, il suffit d’utiliser un chiffon sec.
Pour les salissures tenaces, nettoyez le boîtier avec un
chiffon humide. Ajoutez à de l’eau un peu de liquide
vaisselle. Les essuie-tout et les produits lave-vitres
conviennent aussi.
REMPLACEMENT DU COUSSINET ANTI-MINÉRAUX
Le coussinet anti-minéraux absorbe le calcaire présent
dans l’eau, afin qu’il ne soit pas diffusé dans l’air ambiant.
Avec le temps, le calcaire absorbé durcit le coussinet an-
ti-minéraux et le rend moins efficace.
Contrôlez le coussinet anti-minéraux après chaque net-
toyage. Remplacez le coussinet anti-minéraux quand il
paraît rigide et dur. Vous trouverez des produits de re-

MODE DE TRAVAIL
Bien que le calcaire présent dans l’eau soit en grande
partie absorbé par le coussinet anti-minéraux, la plaque
chauffante du BONECO S250 s’entartre après une longue
durée de fonctionnement.
Un nettoyage en suspens est affiché à l’écran au moyen
de l’icône .
Pour un détartrage facile et simple, le BONECO S250 est
pourvu d’une fonction de nettoyage automatique. Lors de
la procédure, la plaque chauffante est chauffée et refroi-
die plusieurs fois, de sorte que le calcaire devient friable
et facile à enlever.
DÉMARRAGE DU NETTOYAGE
1. Arrêtez le BONECO S250 et laissez l’appareil refroi-
dir 1heure.
2. Retirez le coussinet anti-minéraux et videz le réser-
voir d’eau.
3. Mélangez 1sachet de EZCal®à 32 oz. (1 litre) d’eau
tiède du robinet.
4. Versez le mélange dans le BONECO S250.
5. Appuyez pendant 3secondes sur la touche , pour
démarrer le nettoyage.
6. Sélectionnez la durée de nettoyage souhaitée (1 à
9heures) avec les touches et . S’il reste après
le nettoyage des résidus calcaires tenaces, vous
pouvez à tout moment prolonger ou recommencer
le nettoyage.
7. Débranchez le BONECO S250 du réseau électrique,
et rincez le réservoir d’eau à l’eau du robinet.
8. Remettez le coussinet anti-minéraux dans le réser-
voir d’eau.
