3. General Warnings
DANGER!
This device contains electronic components which operate
via a power source (power supply and/or batteries). Only
use the device as described in the manual, or you run the
risk of an electric shock.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children! Make sure you
insert the batteries correctly. Empty or damaged batteries
could cause burns if they come into contact with the skin. If
necessary, wear adequate gloves for protection.
ATTENTION!
Do not disassemble the device. In the event of a defect,
please contact your dealer. The dealer will contact the Service
Centre and can send the device in to be repaired, if necessary.
Do not expose the device to temperatures above 60°C.
Do not expose the device to high temperatures. Use only the
supplied power supply or the recommended batteries. Do
not short-circuit the device or batteries or throw them into
a re! Excessive heat or improper handling could trigger a
short-circuit, a re or an explosion.
Use only the recommended batteries. Always replace weak
or empty batteries with a new, complete set of batteries at
full capacity. Do not use batteries from dierent brands or
with dierent capacities. The batteries should be removed
from the unit if it has not been used for a long time.

9. Getting started
1. Place the base station as close as possible to
the remote sensor.
2. Establish the power supply of the base station:
a. If you are using the power adapter (re-
commended), plug it into the power jack
and insert the USB cable into the port on
the device's back.
b. If you are using batteries:
1. Remove the battery compartment cover.
2. Insert 2 new AAA size batteries into the
battery compartment according to the
polarity mark in the battery compart-
ment.
3. Replace the battery compartment
cover of the base station.
3. Remove the battery compartment cover of the
remote sensor.
4. Insert 2 new AAA size batteries into the battery
compartment according to the polarity mark in
the battery compartment.
5. Press the °C / °F key to adjust the temperature
unit on the sensor’s display.
6. After the batteries are inserted into the base
station, all LCD segments will appear for 1
second, and during that time, the backlight
will light up. Indoor temperature and humidity
detections will start.
7. After approx. 3 minutes, the RC signal will be
received by the base station.
8. After approx. 7 minutes, the current time and
date will be synchronised automatically with
the DCF time signal transmitted from Europe.
9. Now replace the battery compartment cover of
the remote sensor.

NOTE: In some cases, signal transmission may
be disturbed. Then remove the batteries from the
main unit and the remote sensor and start the
procedure described above again.
If no RF signals are received or the transmission
is interfered, ‚---‘ will appear on the LCD. Position
the base station and remote sensor within the
eective transmission range: 60 m in usual cir-
cumstances. Sometimes all it takes is a relocation
of one of these components of a few inches!
The eective range is vastly aected by building
materials and position of the base station and
remote units. Due to external inuences (various
RC devices and other sources of interference),
the maximum distance can be greatly reduced. In
such cases, we suggest relocating the base stati-
on and the remote sensor to dierent locations.
10. Radio controlled time signal
The time and date are radio-controlled. The
current time and date are automatically synchro-
nised with the DCF time signal transmitted from
Europe.
Every day the unit will automatically search for
the time signal at 1:03, 2:03, 3:03. If this fails it
will search for the signal again at 4:03, 5:03. If the
device fails to receive a signal all ve times, it will
automatically start searching at 1:03 again.
To activate the RCC scanning mode manually,
press and hold the [ UP/RCC] key. In RCC
scanning mode press and hold the [ UP/
RCC] key to deactivate it manually. The maximum
duration of the RCC scanning mode is 7 minutes.
The signal indicator displays information about
the RCC signal:

12. Setting mode (for adjusting time,
date, °C / °F and key tone)
In normal mode, press and hold the [ MODE]
key to enter the setting mode.
Sequence of setting parameters:

1. In setting mode, the parameter that can be
adjusted will blink.
2. To increase a value, press the [ UP/RCC]
key to raise it by one increment. For faster in-
creases, press and hold the [ UP/RCC] key.
NOTE: If you're adjusting minutes, the seconds
will return to 0.
3. To decrease a value, press the [ DOWN/RF]
key to lower it by one increment. For faster de-
creases, press and hold the [ DOWN/RF]key.
NOTE: If you're adjusting minutes, the seconds
will reset to 0.
4. To save your chosen setting and move to the
next one, press the [ MODE] key.
5. If no changes are made within 20 seconds, the
current settings will be saved, and the device
will exit the setting mode.
NOTE:
• The time oset lets you add or subtract hours
(+23 to -23) from the current time to accommo-
date dierent time zones with the automatic
clock function.
• By default the key tone is “o”.
• You can choose from ve languages for the
weekday display: EN, GE, FR, IT, ES

13. Alarm setting mode
In normal mode, press and hold the [ ALARM]
key to enter the alarm setting mode.
Sequence of setting parameters:

1. When you're adjusting a setting, the parameter
you're changing will blink.
2. To increase a value, press the [ UP/RCC]
key to raise it by one increment. For faster in-
creases, press and hold the [ UP/RCC] key.

NOTE: If you're adjusting minutes, the seconds
will return to 0.
3. To decrease a value, press the [ DOWN/RF]
key to lower it by one increment. For faster decre-
ases, press and hold the [ DOWN/RF]key.
NOTE: If you're adjusting minutes, the seconds
will reset to 0.
4. To save your chosen setting and move to the
next one, press the [ ALARM] key.
5. If no changes are made within 20 seconds, the
current settings will be saved, and the device
will exit the alarm setting mode.
14. Using the alarm function
1. In normal mode, press the [ ALARM] key
once to display the alarm time.
2. During the alarm time display, press the [
ALARM] key again to turn on / o the alarm
function.
3. When the alarm is turned on, the icon will
appear and be displayed permanently on the
screen.
4. If no changes are made within 5 second, the
current settings will be saved, and the device
will turn back to the time display.
When triggered the alarm will sound for 2 mi-
nutes with increasing intensity. When the alarm
starts sounding the backlight will turn on for 10
seconds. If no key is pressed during the alarm
period, the alarm will turn o automatically after
8 minutes.
15. Using the snooze function
Press the [snooze.light] key once to stop the alarm
and activate the snooze function. The icon will ash
and the alarm will sound again after 8 minutes.
The snooze function can be operated continuous-
ly within 24 hours.

16. Weather forecast
The indoor console contains a built-in sensitive
pressure sensor to predict the weather forecast
for the next 12 hours. The forecast is shown
on the display and via the projector using the
following symbols:
17. Using the projector
The projector shows the current time and weather
forecast.
A. Battery operation:
When using batteries for power,
• press the [snooze.light] key to turn on the
backlight and projection for 10 seconds.
• press and hold the [snooze.light] key to turn on
the projection permanently and the backlight
for 10 seconds.
B. Using DC power supply:
When using the power adapter, the projector will
turn on automatically and permanently. To turn
o the projection press and hold the [snooze.
light] key. To turn the projection on again, press
and hold the [snooze.light] key again.
1. Rotate the projector arm to project the light
beam to a dark background within 1-4 meters,

the projected data will be displayed on the dark
background as shown in Fig. 1.
2. While the projection is on, press the [snooze.
light] key to rotate it by 180°.
3. Adjust the quality of the projected data by
turning the focus wheel.

18. Pairing remote sensors with the
base station
The base station can operate with up to 3 connected
remote sensors and show their data on its display.
Each sensor must be set to a di erent channel.
1. Place the sensor as close as possible to the
base station.
2. Remove the battery compartment cover of
the remote sensor and make sure there are
batteries inside.
3. Choose the channel using the channel slide
switch.
4. Press the TX key to initiate the RF signal.
5. Replace the battery compartment cover of the
remote sensor.
6. In normal mode and while the correct channel
is displayed on the LCD, press and hold the
[ DOWN/RF] key on the base station.

NOTE: Once the channel is assigned to one remo-
te sensor, you can only change it by repeating the
pairing process.
If no signals are received, “—-” will appear on the
base station’s display. In case of any error, relo-
cate the base station or the remote sensor. Make
sure both items are within the eective range of
approx. 60 meters.
After several unsuccessful attempts, remove
the batteries of both items and start the pairing
process again. Try out where your weather station
receives the signals best, keeping possible inter-
ference sources in mind.
19. Displaying channels
By default channel 1 is displayed on the base
station’s screen. In normal mode, press the [
DOWN/RF] key to change from one channel to the
next. The sequence is:
CH1 CH2 CH3 channel auto-change mode.
In channel auto-change mode, channels change
automatically every 4 seconds.
20. Displaying current indoor and
outdoor temperature and humidity
Change into setting mode to change the tempe-
rature unit to Celsius or Fahrenheit. (see chapter
“Setting mode”).
The indoor temperature and humidity will be
displayed permanently. The outdoor temperature
and humidity can be displayed separately or
automatically for the connected remote sensors
(read more in previous chapter).
• Outdoor temperature range: -20 °C to +60 °C
• If the temperature is below -20 °C the screen
will display LL.L, if it’s over +60 °C the screen
will display HH.H.

• Indoor temperature range: -5 °C to +50 °C
• If the temperature is below -5 °C the screen will
display LL.L, if it’s over +50 °C the screen will
display HH.H.
• Humidity range: 20% to 95%;
• If the humidity is below 20% the screen will
display LL, if it’s higher than 95% the screen will
display HH.
21. Checking max. / min. temperature
records
In normal mode, press the [ UP/RCC] key to
change between current, max. and min. tempera-
ture display.
NOTE: Once you re-install batteries for the base
station, all values will be deleted.
22. Ice pre-alert
When the outdoor CH1 temperature is within the
range of -2°C~3°C (28°F~37°F), the icon will
be displayed. The icon will disappear when the
outdoor temperature moves out of the above
temperature range.
23. Low battery indicator
If the low battery indicator appears in the outdoor
temperature and humidity window, it indicates
that the battery power of the remote sensor is not
high enough. Insert 2 new AAA size batteries.
If the low battery indicator appears in the indoor
temperature and humidity window, it indicates
that the battery power of the base station is not
high enough. Insert 2 new AAA size batteries.

25. DISPOSAL
Dispose of the packaging materials properly,
according to their type, such as paper or
cardboard. Contact your local waste-disposal
service or environmental authority for
information on the proper disposal.
Do not dispose of electronic devices in the
household garbage! As per Directive 2002/96/
EC of the European Parliament on waste
electrical and electronic equipment and its
adaptation into German law, used electronic devices
must be collected separately and
recycled in an
environmentally friendly manner.
In accordance with the regulations concerning
batteries and rechargeable batteries, disposing of
them in the normal household waste is explicitly
forbidden. Please make sure to dispose of your
used batteries as required by law — at a local
collection point or in the retail market. Disposal in
domestic waste violates the Battery Directive.
Batteries that contain toxins are marked with a sign
and a chemical symbol. "Cd" = cadmium, "Hg" =
mercury, "Pb" = lead.
