1.0 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
TheLB-H/V-T-SCLvideo scaler with LAN/IR/RS-232/Bidirectional PoH
(Power over HDBT) over Single CAT5e/6/7 transmitter can send
uncompressed audio/video over a single run of CAT5e/6/7 cable up to
100 m. The system supports various ways of control that can be done
through on-panel buttons, IR remote, RS-232, and OSD (On Screen
Display menu). The device provides full range of output resolutions
through CAT5e/6/7 up to 1080p for HDTV timing and WUXGA(RB) for
PCtiming.

2.0 OPERATION CONTROLSAND FUNCTIONS
2.1 Front Panel
1. SERVICE:
This port is reserved for firmware update only.
2.IR:
IR Receiver window (accepts the remote control signal of this
deviceonly).
3. HDMI:
Connect to source equipment such as DVD/Video player for
sendingthe video signal.
4. PC:
ConnectwithPC/Laptopsourceequipmentforsignalinputwith
D-Sub 15 pin cable.
5. AUDIO:
Connect to audio source equipment for L/R stereo audio input
with 3.5mm jack.Audio embeds with PC source only.
6. MENU:
Press this button to enter into the OSD menu.
7. INPUT & HDMI/PC LED:
PresstoselectHDMIorPC source input. When in HDMI mode
the LED will illuminate in Red, when in PC mode the LED will
illuminatein Green.
8. +/- :
Press these buttons to scroll up and down through the OSD
menu.

9. Enter:
Press this button to confirm the selection. Press this button
together with [–] key to switch output timing to 720p@60
instantly. Press this buttontogetherwith[+]keytoswitchoutput
timing to XGA(1024x768) instantly.
2.2 Rear Panel
1. Power LED:
This LED will illuminate when the device is connected to a
power supply.
2. DC 24V:
Plug the 24 V DC power supply into the unit and connect the
adaptor to an AC outlet. Only one side of power is needed to
activate both Transmitter and Receiver when both obtain the
PoHfunction.
3. RS-232 OUT:
This slot is to connect with D-Sub 9-pin cable from device
equipmentfor receiving RS232commands.
4. LAN:
Connect to an active network for LAN sharing of a total
transmission rate up to 100Mbps. Or when a compatible LAN
equipped Transmitter is connected to an active network, this
allowsthenetwork access(includinginternetaccess ifavailable)
to be shared between the Transmitter and Receiver. Connect
anyEthernet equippeddevicee.g.a SmartTVorgames console
to the LAN port for that device to share the network internet
access.

5. IR Blaster:
Connect to the supplied IR Blaster cable for IR signal
transmission. Place the IR Blaster in direct line-of-sight of the
equipment to be controlled.
6. IR Extender:
Connect to the supplied IR Receiver cables for IR signal
reception. Ensure that remote being used is within the direct
line-of-sight of the IR Extender.
7. MODE LED:
This LED will illuminated when the power is connected.
8. Link LED:
This LED will illuminate when the slot has been connected to
theTransmitterandtheTransmitterhas connected withsources
that shows image on screen.
9. CAT5e/6 OUT:
Connectto the Receiver unitwith a SingleCAT5e/6/7 cable for
transmitting all data signals.

5.0 MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING
5.1 Maintenance
Thereis no operator maintenance otherthen keeping the units
clean. However,observethe following light indicatorsto make
sure that the unit is working properly:
5.2 Troubleshooting
If the LBC-H/V-T-SCL units do not operate properly after
installation,checkforpossible cable breaks, loose connections,
and incorrect cable connections. If problems persist that may
be fiber related, contact BCI at 1-800-214-0222 for further
assistance.
For electrical problems, perform the following troubleshooting
procedures:
1. If the POWER indicator is OFF, check for the following:
a. The line cord is plugged into the unit and your outlet
has power.
2. If the POWER indicator is ON, but the Link indicator is
OFF, check for the following:
a. Make sure the appropriate cables are being used.
b. Cable and cable connectors are not broken.
c. For each unit, the transmit (TX) cable is connected to
the other unit’s receiver (RX).
3. If the POWER indicator and Link indicator are ON, but
the channels are not operating, then:
a. Checktoseethatthe attacheduserequipmentis turned
on.
b. Bothendsofthelinkareconnectedtothecorresponding
equipmentandtothesamecorrespondingchannelport.

c. Cable connections at both channels are securely
fastened to each connector. Turn the power off, then
back on to reset the link.

Broadata Communications, Inc. (BCI) warrants, for a period of one
yearfromdateofshipment,eachproduct sold shall be free from defects
in material and workmanship. BCI will correct, either by repair, or at
BCI’s election, by replacement, any said products that in our sole
discretion prove to be defective and are returned to the manufacturing
location within 30 days after such defect is ascertained. All warranties
are limited to defects arising under normal use and do not include
malfunctionsorfailure resulting frommisuse,abuse,neglect,alterations,
