• Caution! Hot surface!
• DO NOT immerse the appliance in water.
• DO NOT clean with jet/pressure washers.
• DO NOT move or carry the appliance when it is switched on.
• DO NOT leave the appliance unattended during operation.
• Caution! Never switch on the deep fryer without oil inside.
• ALWAYS ensure oil levels are within the ‘MIN’ and ‘MAX’
levels. Failure to do so could result in fire.
• ALWAYS use a suitable cooking oil.
• ALWAYS remove excess moisture/water from food before
frying to avoid excess foaming and spitting of the oil.
• Change oil regularly. The flashpoint of oil (the point at which it
ignites) gradually reduces the more it is used.
• In case of fire, never use water to extinguish it. Never
pour water onto hot oil or fat. Use the lid to cover the
fire instead.
• During and after cooking, the unit is still hot. Never touch the
surface and switch on the drainage tap to avoid scalding.

• People with a pacemaker fitted should not use the appliance
and keep a minimum of 60cm from the appliance during
operation.

Installation
1. Place the unit on a heat-resistant surface. Avoid placing it on or close to easy flammable materials.
Maintain a distance of 20cm (7 inches) between the appliance and walls or other objects for
ventilation.
2. Keep the unit away from splashing water and countertop’s edge.
Note: Before using for the first time, clean the lid, basket, batter plate and the
oil tank with warm soapy water. Let dry completely.

1. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply.
2. Set the POWER switch to I(ON position). The power indicator light illuminates.
3. Set the thermostat to the desired temperature. The HEATING indicator light (red) turns On. The
appliance begins to heat the oil.
• Note: 170°C to 180°C is suitable for general cooking.
4. When the set temperature is reached, the HEATING indicator light (red) turns Off. Meanwhile the
READY indicator light (green) goes on.
5. Lower the basket with food into the oil.
Note: When food is lowered into the oil, the indicator light may switch from
“READY” to “HEATING”.
6. Remove the basket from the oil once the food is cooked. Shake gently above the oil tank to remove
any excess oil.
WARNING: The food and oil are very hot! Take care when removing the basket
as oil may drip.
7. After use, set the POWER switch to O(OFF position) and disconnect the appliance from the mains.
Self-protection functions
Function Descriptions
Dryheat protection Each time the appliance starts, it performs the self-checking for 20 seconds.
If no oil is detected in the oil tank, the HEATING indicator light will flash 2
seconds repeatedly. Meanwhile a buzzer alarm is on to alert the user to fill oil.
Safety switch This appliance is fitted with a Thermal Cut-Out safety feature. Should the
temperature exceed safe levels appliance will automatically stop working.
Meanwhile, the safety switch on the rear will pop up. As a solution, call
BUFFALO agent or qualified Technician.

Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
• Always turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply before
cleaning.
• Always allow the appliance and oil to cool before cleaning.
• Check the temperature with a suitable probe thermometer; 40ºC is the MAXIMUM temperature at
which oil should be removed.
• For best performance, BUFFALO recommend that the appliance is cleaned after each day of operation.
• Pull the air filter out of its slot on the bottom of the appliance. Clean with a vacuum cleaner.
Note: Failure to clean the appliance regularly may result in premature activation
of the thermal cut-out switch.
Empty and clean the oil tank
• When the oil has cooled sufficiently, lift the tap lever and rotate anti-clockwise to the ON position. Let
the drained oil flow into a container.

• If the oil is to be reused then filtering it before refilling will extend the oil’s cooking life.
• Use a suitable detergent to clean the oil tank.
• Let it dry well, ensuring no moisture enters the inside of the appliance.
Cleaning all removable parts
• Use warm, soapy water and a soft brush to clean the lid, basket and batter plate.
• Dry thoroughly.
• A BUFFALO dealer or qualified technician should carry out repairs if required.

Electrical Wiring
This appliance is supplied with a 3 pin, moulded, BS1363 plug and lead, with a 13 amp fuse as standard.
The plug is to be connected to a suitable mains socket.
This appliance is wired as follows:
• Live wire (coloured brown) to terminal marked L
• Neutral wire (coloured blue) to terminal marked N
• Earth wire (coloured green/yellow) to terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed.
If in doubt consult a qualified electrician.

Veiligheidstips
• Plaatsen op een vlakke en stabiele ondergrond.

• Let op! Warm oppervlak!
• Dit apparaat NIET in water dompelen.
• NIET reinigen met straal-/drukreinigers.
• Verplaats of draag het toestel NIET wanneer het ingeschakeld is.
• Laat het toestel NIET onbeheerd achter wanneer het in
gebruik is.
• Opgelet! Schakel de friteuse niet in als er geen olie in zit.
• ALTIJD controleren of het olieniveau tussen ‘MIN’ en ‘MAX’
staat. Anders kan er brand ontstaan.
• ALTIJD geschikte kookolie gebruiken.
• Bij het frituren ALTIJD overtollig vocht/water van het voedsel
halen om schuimvorming en het spetteren van olie te voorkomen.
• Vervang regelmatig de olie. Het ontvlammingspunt van olie (het
punt waarop olie vlamvat) wordt bij het hergebruik van de olie
steeds lager.
• Gebruik, bij brand, nooit water om het te blussen. Giet nooit
water op hete olie of heet vet. Gebruik het deksel om het vuur
hiermee te bedekken.
• Tijdens en na het bakken is het toestel nog steeds heet. Raak
het oppervlak nooit aan en draai de afvoerkraan niet open, om
te voorkomen dat u zich brandt.

• Personen met een pacemaker dienen dit apparaat niet te

Installatie
1. Plaats het toestel op een hittebestendig oppervlak. Plaats het niet op of dichtbij makkelijk
ontvlambare materialen. Behoud een afstand van 20 cm (7 inch) tussen het toestel en muren of
andere voorwerpen, voor de ventilatie.
2. Hou het toestel uit de buurt van opspattend water en de rand van het werkblad.
Opmerking: Reinig, vóór het eerste gebruik, het deksel, het mandje, de
beslagplaat en het oliereservoir met warm zeepwater. Laat het volledig drogen.

1. Sluit het apparaat aan op het elektriciteitsnet.
2. Zet de START-schakelaar op I (AAN-positie). Het start-indicatielampje gaat branden.
3. Stel de thermostaat in op de gewenste temperatuur. Het VERWARMEN-indicatielampje (rood) gaat
branden. Het toestel begint de olie te verwarmen.
• Opmerking: 170°C tot 180°C is de beste temperatuur om te frituren.
4. Wanneer de ingestelde temperatuur bereikt wordt, wordt het VERWARMEN-indicatielampje (rood)
Uitgeschakeld. Vervolgens gaat het GEREED-indicatielampje (groen) branden.
5. Laat het mandje met voedsel in de olie zakken.
OPMERKING: Wanneer voedsel in de olie wordt gedaan, kan het indicatielampje
verspringen van “GEREED” naar “VERWARMEN”.
6. Als het voedsel gebakken is, neemt u het mandje uit de olie. Schudt zachtjes om overtollige olie te
verwijderen.
WAARSCHUWING: Het voedsel en de olie zijn zeer heet! Voorzichtig bij het
optillen van het mandje, daar er olie kan druppelen.
7. Zet de START-schakelaar, na gebruik, op O (UIT-positie) en haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.
Zelfbeschermingsfuncties
Functie Beschrijvingen
Beschrijvingen Telkens wanneer het toestel opstart, voert het gedurende 20 seconden
zelfcontrolerende functies uit. Wanneer er geen olie gevonden wordt in
het oliereservoir, zal het VERWARMEN-indicatielampje 2 seconden lang
herhaaldelijk knipperen. Ondertussen hoort men een zoemeralarm dat de
gebruiker verwittigt de olie bij te vullen.
Veiligheidsschakelaar Dit toestel is uitgerust met een thermische beveiliging. Mocht de temperatuur
veilige niveaus overschrijden, zal het toestel automatisch ophouden met
werken.
Ook wordt de veiligheidsschakelaar aan de achterkant geactiveerd. Om dit te
verhelpen, neemt u contact op met een BUFFALO-vertegenwoordiger of een
gekwalificeerde vakman.

Reiniging, zorg & onderhoud
• Alvorens het apparaat te reinigen dient men altijd het apparaat uit te
schakelen en de stekker uit het stopcontact te halen.
• Laat voor reiniging altijd de olie afkoelen.
• Controleer de temperatuur met een geschikte sensorthermometer. Om de olie te verwijderen mag de
temperatuur van de olie MAXIMAAL 40°C zijn.
• Voor de beste prestaties, raadt Buffalo aan om het apparaat na elke gebruiksdag te reinigen.
• Trek de luchtfilter uit de gleuf aan de onderzijde van het toestel. Reinig deze met een stofzuiger.
Opmerking: een niet regelmatige reiniging van het apparaat kan een voortijdige
activering van de thermische beveiligingsschakelaar veroorzaken.
Maak het oliereservoir leeg en reinig het
• Wanneer de olie voldoende afgekoeld is, til dan de kraanhendel omhoog en draai naar links naar de
AAN-positie. Laat de afgevoerde olie in een bak vloeien.

• Wanneer de olie opnieuw gebruikt gaat worden, dan gaat de olie langer mee door het voor gebruik te
filteren.
• Gebruik een geschikt reinigingsmiddel om het oliereservoir te reinigen.
• Laat het goed drogen en zorg er daarbij voor dat er geen vocht in het toestel komt.
Het reinigen van alle verwijderbare onderdelen
• Gebruik warm zeepwater en een zachte borstel om het deksel, het mandje en de beslagplaat te reinigen.
• Grondig drogen.
• Een BUFFALO-dealer of erkend vakman dient, indien nodig, herstellingen uit te voeren.

Elektrische bedrading
Men dient de stekker op een geschikt stopcontact aan te sluiten.
De bedrading van dit apparaat is als volgt:
• Stroomkabel (bruin) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met L
• Neutraalkabel (blauw) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met N
• Aardekabel (groen/geel) naar de aansluitklem gemarkeerd met E
Dit apparaat moet worden geaard.
Raadpleeg bij twijfel een vakkundige elektricien.
De elektrische isolatiepunten mogen niet worden geblokkeerd. In geval van een nooduitschakeling
moeten de isolatiepunten direct toegankelijk zijn.

Conseils de sécurité
• Placez l’appareil sur une surface plane, stable.
• L’installation et les éventuelles réparations doivent être
confiées à un dépanneur / technicien qualifié. Ne retirez aucun
composant ou cache de ce produit.
• Consultez les normes locales et nationales pour vous
conformer aux :
- lois sur l’hygiène et la sécurité au travail ;
- codes de bonnes pratiques BS EN ;
- précautions contre le risque d’incendie ;
- réglementations sur les branchements électriques IEE ;
- règlements sur la construction.
• Attention ! Surface chaude !
• NE PAS immerger l’appareil.
• ÉVITEZ de nettoyer à l’aide d’un nettoyeur à jet ou d’un
nettoyeur à pression.
• ÉVITEZ de déplacer ou transporter l’appareil lorsqu’il est allumé.
• ÉVITEZ de laisser l’appareil sans surveillance pendant le
fonctionnement.
• Attention! N’allumez jamais la friteuse sans huile à l’intérieur.
• Veillez TOUJOURS à ce que les niveaux d’huile se situent entre
les repères « MIN » et « MAX ». Tout oubli de cette consigne
comporte un risque d’incendie.
• Veillez à TOUJOURS utiliser une huile de cuisson adaptée à cet
usage.
• Veillez à TOUJOURS sécher le surplus d’humidité / d’eau des
aliments à frire avant de les plonger dans la friteuse, pour
éviter une émulsion brutale de l’huile et les éclaboussures.
• Changez l’huile régulièrement. Le point d’éclair de l’huile
(autrement dit, son point de combustion) diminue au fur et à
mesure de son utilisation.
• En cas d’incendie, ne jamais utiliser de l’eau pour l’éteindre.
Ne jamais verser de l’eau sur de l’huile ou de la graisse
chaude. Utilisez plutôt le couvercle pour couvrir le feu.
• Pendant et après la cuisson, l’appareil est encore chaud. Ne jamais
toucher la surface et ouvrir le robinet pour éviter les brûlures.

Installation
1. Placer l’appareil sur une surface résistante à la chaleur. Éviter de le placer sur ou à proximité de
matériaux facilement inflammables. Maintenir une distance de 20 cm (7 pouces) entre l’appareil et les
murs ou autres objets pour la ventilation.
2. Éloigner l’appareil des éclaboussures d’eau et du bord du comptoir.
Remarque : Avant la première utilisation, nettoyer le couvercle, le panier,
l’égouttoir et la cuve avec de l’eau chaude savonneuse. Laisser sécher
complètement.

1. Brancher l’appareil sur le secteur.
2. Mettre l’interrupteur d’alimentation sur I(Position de marche). Le voyant lumineux d’alimentation
s’allume.
3. Régler le thermostat à la température souhaitée. Le voyant lumineux CHAUFFE (rouge) s’allume.
L’appareil commence la mise en température de l’huile.
• Remarque : 170°C à 180°C est recommandé pour la cuisson générale.
4. Lorsque la température réglée est atteinte, le voyant lumineux CHAUFFE (rouge) s’éteint. Pendant ce
temps, le voyant lumineux PRÊT (vert) s’allume.
5. Abaisser le panier contenant les aliments dans l’huile.
Remarque : Lorsque de la nourriture est abaissée dans l’huile, le témoin
lumineux peut passer de « PRÊT » à « CHAUFFAGE ».
6. Retirez le panier de l’huile une fois que les aliments sont cuits. Agiter doucement au-dessus du
réservoir d’huile pour éliminer tout excès d’huile.
AVERTISSEMENT : Les aliments et l’huile sont très chauds ! Faites attention
lorsque vous enlevez le panier, car l’huile peut s’égoutter.
7. Après utilisation, régler l’interrupteur d’alimentation sur O(position ARRET) et débrancher l’appareil
du secteur.

Protection contre la
chaleur sèche Chaque fois que l’appareil est mis en fonction, il effectue un contrôle automatique pendant 20 secondes. Si l’huile n’est pas détectée dans le réservoir d’huile, le
voyant lumineux CHAUFFE clignote pendant 2 secondes de façon répétée. Pendant
ce temps, une alarme sonore est activée pour avertir l’utilisateur qu’il doit remplir la
cuve d’huile.
Interrupteur de sécurité Cet appareil est équipé d’un coupe-circuit de sécurité thermique. Si la température
dépasse les niveaux de sécurité, l’appareil arrête de fonctionner automatiquement.
Pendant ce temps, l’interrupteur de sécurité à l’arrière apparaîtra. Comme solution,
Appeler un agent Buffalo ou un technicien qualifié.

Nettoyage, entretien et maintenance
• Veillez à toujours éteindre l’appareil et à le débrancher de la prise
d’alimentation secteur avant de le nettoyer.
• Laissez toujours refroidir l’huile avant de nettoyer la friteuse.
• Vérifiez la température à l’aide d’un thermomètre à sonde adapté ; 40ºC est la température
MAXIMUM de vidange de l’huile.
• Pour maximiser les performances de votre friteuse, Buffalo vous en recommande le nettoyage après
chaque jour de fonctionnement.
• Tirez le filtre à air hors de sa fente au bas de l’appareil. Nettoyer avec un aspirateur.
Remarque : Un appareil qui ne serait pas nettoyé régulièrement présenterait un
risque de déclenchement intempestif du disjoncteur thermique.
Vider et nettoyer le réservoir d’huile
• Lorsque l’huile a suffisamment refroidi, soulever le levier du robinet et le tourner dans le sens inverse
des aiguilles d’une montre jusqu’à la position MARCHE. Laisser l’huile s’écouler dans un récipient.

• Si l’huile doit être réutilisée, la filtration avant le remplissage prolongera la durée de cuisson de l’huile.
• Utiliser un détergent approprié pour nettoyer la cuve.
• Bien laisser sécher, en veillant à ce que l’humidité ne pénètre pas à l’intérieur de l’appareil.
Nettoyage de toutes les pièces amovibles
• Utiliser de l’eau chaude savonneuse et une brosse douce pour nettoyer le couvercle, le panier et
l’égouttoir.
• Sécher correctement.
• Un revendeur BUFFALO ou un technicien qualifié doit effectuer les réparations si nécessaire.
