isdeliveredthroughSHVconnector.
TheHVoutputRAMP‐UPandRAMP‐DOWNratesmaybeselectedindependentlyforeachchannelwith
1V/ssteps.
Safetyfeaturesinclude:
OVERVOLTAGEandUNDERVOLTAGEwarningwhentheoutputvoltagediffersfromtheprogrammed
value(±2%)
ProgrammableVMAXhardwareprotectionlimit
OVERCURRENTdetection:ifachanneltriestodrawacurrentlargerthanitsprogrammedlimit,itis
signalledtobein"overcurrent"andworksasacurrentgenerator;outputvoltagevariesinorderto
keeptheoutputcurrentlowerthantheprogrammedvalue."Overcurrent"lastingmorethansetvalue
(1to999seconds)causesthechannelto"trip".OutputvoltagewilldroptozeroeitherattheRamp‐
downrateoratthefastestavailablerate,dependingonPowerDownsetting;inbothcasesthe
channelisputintheoffstate.Iftrip=INFINITE,"overcurrent"lastsuntiltheunitisswitchedoff
manually.
OutputcanbeenabledordisabledthroughtheInterlocklogicandtherelevantswitch.Thefollowing

Initialinspection
Priortoshipmentthisunitwasinspectedandfoundfreeofmechanicalorelectricaldefects.Upon
unpackingoftheunit,inspectforanydamage,whichmayhaveoccurredintransport.Theinspection
shouldconfirmthatthereisnoexteriordamagetotheunit,suchasbrokenknobsorconnectors,and
thatthepanelsarenotscratchedorcracked.Keepallpackingmaterialuntiltheinspectionhasbeen
completed.Ifdamageisdetected,fileaclaimwithcarrierimmediatelyandnotifyCAEN.Before
installingtheunit,makesureyouhavereadthoroughlythesafetyrulesandinstallationrequirements,
thenplacethepackagecontentontoyourbench;youshallfindthefollowingparts:
