CAMLITE VIDEO/AUDIO SYSTEM
Operating Instructions and Warranty
Model 1000
On behalf of the CamLite Corporation, we welcome your purchase and use of the CamLite Video/Audio System.
Please read this manual prior to using your CamLite. It provides important safety and operating instructions. SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
The batteries must be charged before first use. It generally takes about __?_ hours for the model 1000.

SAFETY
1. THIS DEVICE IS FOR LICENSED USE ONLY. (See FCC Information)
2. Warning! – this device complies with FCC licensed operation and RF exposure requirements. Do not hold the CamLite around the head while
the transmitter is operational. This will reduce performance and violate FCC RF exposure requirements.
3. The CamLite is not approved for use in hazardous atmospheres. DO NOT use in areas that require explosion proof operation.
4. DO NOT use attachments not authorized by CamLite.
5. Keep the CamLite dry. Although this system is water resistant, exposure to extremely wet conditions or immersion in water may damage the
electronics within the CamLite.
6. Only use the batteries, recharging devices and cables provided by CamLite (See Parts List).
7. DO NOT put any metal parts into or onto the charging terminals of the charger. It may cause an electrical shock or burning. DO NOT use
the charger to charge any other products.
8. DO NOT use any damaged cords. Replace immediately.
9. Dispose of the batteries properly and in accordance with local laws. DO NOT incinerate the batteries as it may cause them to explode.
10. DO NOT short circuit batteries. Be certain no metal objects such as coins, paper clips, keys, etc. touch the terminals. DO NOT attempt to
disassemble, drop or mutilate the batteries.
11. DO NOT attempt to service this video/audio system yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified CamLite service technicians.
12. Minimize strong shocks and dropping of the unit. Although the CamLite is built to withstand heavy use, it can be damaged through misuse or
carelessness.

Checking Supplied Components
Determine the System you have and then check to make sure the following components have been supplied:
For the CamLite Video/audio System Model 1000
The CamLite flashlight
Two battery packs
Receiver
Charger mount, along with mounting screws.
AC/DC power cord for charger [Which cords are we including??]
One extra light bulb
Power for the Components
FULLY CHARGE YOUR BATTERIES BEFORE FIRST USE. For safety reasons rechargeable batteries are shipped in a discharged state. It may take several charging and
discharge cycles before the full capacity of the batteries is achieved. Because all rechargeable batteries gradually lose their power over time, if stored for more than a few days, a
top-off charge before use is recommended.
Model 1000 is powered by a battery pack containing five (5) NiMHD batteries and you were supplied with two packs. The battery packs are charged by simply inserting the CamLite
flashlight (turned off and with a battery pack installed) into the charger with the button side facing you. That can be done by pressing the CamLite into the gap in the arms, forcing the
arms out, and allowing the CamLite to seat in the correct position.
The CamLite is designed to be left in the charger continuously when not in use. This will ensure that the CamLite is always fully charged. There is no danger of overcharge. The
LED is lit when current is flowing. It does not indicate that charging is occurring when none is needed. A full charge will take approximately _____ hours for model 1000. The
CamLite will operate with the camera only for approximately ____ hours and with the light only for approximately ____ hours for the R-1 model and ___ and ___ for the model 1000.
Charger Mounting for Model 1000 The charger may be mounted anywhere near a plug. The most secure location is with the CamLite vertical and the head of the flashlight facing
up. For maximum ease of insertion and removal, try to leave at least 2" clearance from the top of the CamLite. Use the two (2) self tapping screws to mount the charger on a variety
of surfaces. The correct hole size for the screws in sheet metal is 1/8".
WARNING: Be sure to use only genuine CamLite replacement parts. Use of another manufacturer’s replacement parts could affect performance and void the CamLite’s warranty.
NOTE: The rechargeable battery contained in this product is recyclable. At the end of its useful life, it may be illegal to dispose of the battery in the municipal solid waste stream.
Check with your local solid waste officials for details in your area for recycling options or proper disposal.

FCC Information
The CamLite contains an analog video/audio transmission system operating in the 2.4 GHz ISM band. The ISM band is an unlicenced band allocated by the FCC. Because the
transmitter is designated for PART 90 use, it requires a license to be obtained by the end user. Those licenses may be obtained by application with the FCC on the following
website: http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls/.
This device is FCC approved under FCC ID QIH-CL1. Any changes or misuse of the product may void the user’s authority to operate the product.
In order to comply with the FCC exposure requirements, the antenna must be kept one (1”) inch away from the body. The antenna is located on the front of the Camlite, directly in
line with the buttons (see diagram).
WARNING ! - Do not hold CamLite by the head when the transmitter is on. This will reduce the performance and violate the FCC RF exposure requirements.
