Installation Guide
Purpose THANK YOU for your purchase of the miniQV-X automatic viscometer
from Cannon Instrument Company®. This guide is designed to provide
information about the installation of the miniQV-X. Refer to the
miniQV-X Instruction & Operation Manual for more information.
1.Unpack the miniQV -X viscometer
CAUTION Remove all components from the shipping container(s).
Do NOT lift the miniQV instrument by the modular side panels (“ears”).
Always support the weight of the unit from the BASE.
•Remove all packing materials from the components.
•Verify receipt of shipped materials by comparing items received
with packing/parts lists. Report missing items to CANNON
immediately.
•Inspect each component for signs of damage. Report damages to
shipper and Cannon Instrument Company immediately.
•Retain all packing materials until the instrument is connected and
functioning properly. Any components to be returned to CANNON
must be packaged in the original shipping containers. Refer to the
Warranty section of the Instruction & Operation Manual for more
information on returning defective equipment. Customers outside
the United States should contact their local CANNON dealer for
proper procedure on returning products to CANNON.
•Review operator safety information in the miniQV-X Instruction &
Operation Manual.
•Verify MAINS electrical specifications in the Instruction &
Operation Manual prior to providing power to instrument.

Connect tubing and cables as indicated in the image (and in
Operation Manual). Cut tubing to length as necessary.

3. Fill bath vessel to the fill line with silicone fluid.
Install VISCPRO software on the controlling PC using
the installation CD or thumb drive.

Supply power to the miniQV instrument.

Set the desired control

Calibrate the instrument per
manual instructions or confirm
calibration data included with your
installation software disc/CD.
Enter sample ID information
into VISCPRO and begin running
samples.
