1[Format] key Sets the page/text input orientation and the text
frame.
2[Style] key Species character size, number of lines, and space
between characters.
3[Length/Margin]

Species the length of one tube (or one label),
character alignment, and margins.
4[Conti.] key Sets up repeat printing of a page.

[Cancel] key Press this key while printing to stop printing, and then
stop after cutting the print media. If you press and
hold this key for 2 seconds or more, the printer will
stop without cutting.
If pressed during the operation of a function, the
operation will be canceled. Also, pressing this key
while holding down [Shift] will return you to the
character input display.

[Back Space] key Deletes the character to the left of the cursor position.

[Enter] key
Conrm the input of unconrmed characters or
selected items. Pressing this key after nalizing text
input will insert a page break at the cursor position.

(Arrow keys)
Move the cursor or selected item up, down, left or
right. If you press this key while holding down [Shift] in
the character input display, you can move to the next
or previous page. (P.38)

[Print] key Displays the printing preference display and allows
you to print the currently displayed data. (P.72)

Space key
Enter a space.

[Alt] key This key is used to input characters with diacritical
marks by holding down this key while pressing the
corresponding character key.

[Caps Lock] key If you press this key and then enter alphanumeric
characters, they will be capitalized.

Auto : Only warms the tube during printing.
When printing is executed, the tube will
be warmed up to the set temperature,
and then printing will start.
RDY : Warms the tube except while
printing. When printing is executed,
it starts printing immediately. "WAI"
will be displayed when the set
temperature is adjusted.
OFF : Disables the tube warmer settings.
(No indication) : The tube warmer is not set.

1 Connect the power cord to the AC adapter, and plug the AC

2 Insert the power plug into a power outlet.

If you are outdoors or in any other place where you do not have access to a power
supply, you can use the product with batteries.

• Be sure to use fully charged "eneloop AA Standard Model Batteries (Part
No. : BK-3MCCA (for North America), BK-3MCCE (for Europa, and Asia)."
Do not use any other type of battery. Failure to do so may result in re,
malfunction, or injury.
1 Prepare 6 "eneloop AA Standard Model Batteries (Part No. : BK-
3MCCA (for North America), BK-3MCCE (for Europa, and Asia))." (sold
separately).
2 Make sure that the power is turned o.
3 Remove the battery cover.

5 Put the battery cover back on.
󱾀Push the battery cover in until it clicks
into place, and close it completely so that
there is no gap between the battery cover
and the printer.
IMPORTANT
• If the product has batteries installed and the AC adapter is also plugged into a power
outlet, the AC adapter will be given priority as the power supply. However, it is
recommended that you remove the batteries when using the AC adapter, as they will be
drained otherwise.
• If the batteries are installed and the AC adapter is connected to the product, do not
disconnect the AC adapter during printing. The product will not be able to print properly
if you do so.
• When printing using battery power, even if the AC adapter is connected during printing,
the power supply will not be switched until printing is nished.
• The remaining battery power cannot be displayed correctly directly after switching the
power supply from the AC adapter to the batteries. Once printing starts, the remaining
capacity will be updated.
• When using the (optional) tube warmer or when printing large characters (character size:
6mm full-width), the batteries will be drained quickly. In such cases, we recommend the
use of the AC adapter.
