Setting Up Using the
Setup Guide on the
Control Panel
When you turn ON the machine for the first time, the
Setup Guide starts up on the control panel.

Congure basic settings such as the screen display
language and the type of paper to use.
Set the machine's date and time.
Specify the administrator login and user authentication
settings to improve the security of the machine.
The default user name for the administrator
is "Administrator" and the default password is
"7654321".

Adjusting the Gradation Automatically
You can adjust the gradations to get a better
printing result.
Congure the settings for connecting the machine
to a network.
Select a wired LAN or wireless LAN and congure the
IP address. Depending on your network environment,
specify the DNS and proxy settings also.
Configure the settings required for using the fax
functions.
7Outputting a Report
Print a list of the network settings and adjustment
values.
8Closing the Setup Guide
After you have closed the Setup Guide, restart the
machine to reect the settings.

of another Canon multifunction printer as a connection
