The Manero Minute Repeater
Anniversary Edition is a tribute to tech-
nical innovation, Swiss watchmaking
tradition, and artistic excellence. It
takes the classic minute repeater as a
starting point, and continues in an inno-
vative way. Its mechanism is finely
orchestrated and produces two different
audible tones. The chiming springs can
be admired through cut-outs at the edge
of the dial. They are complemented by
openings at 5 o’clock and 7 o’clock
through which the work of the striking
hammers can be observed. A window
above 6 o’clock shows the innovative
peripheral regulator of the watch, which
sets the beat for the strokes. The minute
repeater from Carl F. Bucherer also
impresses with its genuine functionality:
a protective mechanism built into the
movement preserves the repeater mech-
anism when setting the time and vice
versa. The watch also features a mecha-
nism that serves a decisive function:
called an all-or-nothing spring, it
enables the repeater to strike only if its
barrel is fully cocked, preventing the
repeater from running out of power in
the middle of action and thus chiming
the wrong time.
THEPERIPHERALLYMOUNTED
TOURBILLON
The tourbillon is considered another
major highlight of the watchmaker’s
craft, and compensates for the variances
caused by the works of a mechanical
watch. Due to the different positions of
the watch on the wrist, the earth’s gravi-
ty influences the movement of the bal-
ance at any given time.
To minimize this influence, a rotating
cage has been developed to accommo-
date the balance. This allows the bal-
ance and the resistance to work against
each other. In this way they are indepen-
dent of the position of the watch.
The cage of this minute tourbillon is
supported peripherally, and, invisible to
the observer, by three ball bearings. It
not only appears to float but also stops
when instructed to do so. Thanks to the
stop-seconds function, the rotating cage
is halted when the crown is pulled out,
thus enabling the time to be set to the
exact second.

The MR3000 sets new standards in the
field of peripheral technology.
For the first time, Carl F. Bucherer’s
peripheral rotor is combined not only
with a peripherally suspended and thus
floating tourbillon, but also with the
peripherally mounted regulator for the
minute repeater mechanism. The periph-
eral technology, which the MR3000 uses
three times, is one of the brand’s unmis-
takable trademark features. In this
design, a self-winding mechanism work-
ing in both directions draws its energy
from a peripherally rotating oscillating
weight in 18 K gold.
In addition to its efficiency, the slender
rotor also offers a view of the beauty of
the movement.
The peripherally mounted rotor is com-
bined here with a peripherally mounted,
seemingly floating tourbillon – both
innovations for which Carl F. Bucherer
holds several patents. The elaborately
finished and COSC-certified MR3000
manufacture caliber, with a power
reserve of 65 hours, defines a new era in
peripheral technology, and forms the
heart of the Manero Minute Repeater
Anniversary Edition.

CLEANING
To clean the outer surface of the watch,
wipe it gently with a microfiber cloth.
Minimize contact between the leather
straps and the water.
MAINTENANCE
As a mechanical instrument, a watch
requires maintenance by an authorized
service center about once every four
years.

Anniversary Edition watch is water-
resistant to 1 atm; this means it is resis-
tant to drops of water and light rain.
Water-resistance is only guaranteed
when the crown is in the indicated start-
ing position. It is recommended that you
have the water-resistance checked once a
year by your Carl F. Bucherer retailer or
service center.

Die Manero Minute Repeater Anniversary
Edition ist eine Hommage an technische
Innovationskraft, Schweizer Uhrmacher-
tradition und künstlerische Exzellenz. Die
klassische Minutenrepetition wurde bei
diesem Meisterwerk technisch besonders
innovativ umgesetzt. Ihr Mechanismus ist
fein orchestriert und bringt zwei verschiede-
ne Töne zu Gehör. Die Tonfedern sind durch
Ausschnitte am Rande des Zifferblatts zu
bewundern. Sie werden ergänzt von
Öffnungen bei 5 Uhr und 7 Uhr, durch die
sich die Arbeit der Schlagwerkhämmer ver-
folgen lässt. Ein Fenster oberhalb von 6 Uhr
setzt den innovativen peripheren Regulator
der Uhr in Szene, welcher den Takt der
Schläge vorgibt. Die Minutenrepetition von
Carl F. Bucherer punktet zusätzlich mit ech-
ter Funktionalität: Der im Werk integrierte
Schutzmechanismus beugt einer Fehl-
benutzung vor und stellt sicher, dass die
Uhr nicht gestellt werden kann, wenn das
Schlagwerk aktiv ist, und umgekehrt die
Repetitionsmechanik nicht läuft, wenn die
Zeit eingestellt wird. Sie ist ausserdem mit
einem Mechanismus namens «alles oder
nichts» ausgestattet. Diese Vorrichtung
ermöglicht, dass die Minutenrepetition nur
dann startet, wenn der Aktionshebel voll-
ständig gespannt wurde. Dadurch wird ver-
hindert, dass die Uhrzeit falsch geschlagen
wird.
DASPERIPHERGELAGERTETOURBILLON
Das Tourbillon gilt als grosses Highlight
der Uhrmacherkunst und es dient als
regulierendes Organ, um die
Abweichungen einer mechanischen Uhr
auszugleichen. Aufgrund der unter-
schiedlichen Positionen der Uhr am
Handgelenk beeinflusst die Schwerkraft
der Erde die jeweilige Bewegung der
Unruh. Um diesen Einfluss zu minimie-
ren, wurde ein Tourbillonkäfig entwi-
ckelt, um die Unruh aufzunehmen.
Dadurch können die Unruh und der
Widerstand gegeneinander arbeiten.
So sind sie unabhängig von der Position
der Uhr.
Der Käfig dieses Minutentourbillons
wird peripher, und für den Betrachter
unsichtbar, von drei Kugellagern getra-
gen. Es kann nicht nur «schweben»,
sondern auch auf Kommando anhalten:
Dank der Sekundenstopp-Funktion wird
der Tourbillonkäfig arretiert, wenn die
Krone gezogen ist, und dadurch ein
sekundengenaues Einstellen der Uhrzeit
ermöglicht.
DASMANUFAKTURKALIBERMR
Das MR3000 setzt im Bereich der peri-
pheren Technik neue Massstäbe.
Erstmals wird der periphere Rotor von
Carl F. Bucherer nicht nur mit einem
peripher aufgehängten und somit schwe-
benden Tourbillon kombiniert, sondern
auch mit dem peripher gelagerten
Regulator der Minutenrepetitions-
mechanik. Die Peripherie, die das
MR3000 gleich dreifach nutzt, gehört zu

La Manero Minute Repeater Anniversary
Edition est un hommage à l’innovation
technique, à la tradition horlogère suisse
et à l’excellence artistique. Elle reprend de
manière innovante la répétition minutes
classique. Son mécanisme est finement
orchestré et offre à l’ouïe deux sons dis-
tincts. Des découpures disposées sur le
pourtour du cadran permettent d’admirer
les timbres. Elles sont complétées par des
ouvertures disposées respectivement à
5 h et à 7 h, grâce auxquelles on peut
observer le mouvement des marteaux de
sonnerie. La fenêtre au-dessus de 6 h met
en scène l’innovant régulateur périphé-
rique de la montre, lequel dicte la cadence
des coups de la sonnerie. La répétition
minutes de Carl F. Bucherer se distingue
aussi par ses réelles qualités fonction-
nelles: un dispositif incorporé au mouve-
ment protège le mécanisme de répétition
pendant le réglage de l’heure et inverse-
ment.
Elle est également équipée d’un méca-
nisme appelé «tout ou rien». Ce dispositif
permet à la répétition minutes de se
mettre en fonction que lorsque le verrou
de déclenchement a été armé
à son maximum. Ce système évite ainsi
que l’heure sonnée soit erronée.
LETOURBILLONPÉRIPHÉRIQUE
Autre grande prouesse horlogère: le
tourbillon, lequel permet de compenser
les variations inhérentes à une montre
mécanique. En raison des diverses posi-
tions que prend la montre portée au poi-
gnet, la gravité terrestre a un impact
sur les mouvements du balancier. Afin
de compenser ces perturbations, une
cage tournante hébergeant l’organe
réglant ainsi que l’échappement a été
mise au point. Ceci permet de compen-
ser les écarts de marche dans les posi-
tions verticales.
La cage de ce tourbillon-minute est sup-
portée à la périphérie, de manière non
apparente pour l’observateur, par trois
roulements à billes. En plus d’être «flot-
tant», ce tourbillon obéit aux ordres:
quand la couronne est tirée, la fonction
stop-seconde arrête la cage tournante,
permettant ainsi de régler l’heure à la
seconde près.
LECALIBREDEMANUFACTUREMR
La MR3000 constitue une nouvelle avan-
cée dans le domaine des techniques péri-
phériques. Pour la première fois, le rotor
périphérique de Carl F. Bucherer est
combiné non seulement avec un tourbil-
lon périphérique suspendu, et donc flot-
tant, mais aussi avec le régulateur péri-
phérique de la répétition minutes.
Utilisée à triple titre par la MR3000, la
périphérie fait partie des leitmotivs
caractéristiques de la marque.
Concernant ce type de construction, le
remontage automatique fonctionne dans
les deux sens et tire son énergie d’une
masse oscillante en or 18 K, disposée à la
périphérie. Outre son efficience, le rotor
présente une faible largeur, offrant ainsi
une totale visibilité sur la beauté du
mouvement. Le remontage périphérique
est ici combiné avec un tourbillon flottant
apparent périphérique – deux innova-

ENTRETIEN
Pour nettoyer la surface externe de la
montre, frottez-la doucement avec un chif-
fon microfibre. Évitez de mettre les brace-

recommandé de déplacer les
aiguilles (lors de la mise à
l’heure) dans le sens inverse
des aiguilles d’une montre
(anti-horaire).
