Carman AUTO-i 700 User manual

1. Power Button: Keep pushing this button until screen turns on. It takes around 1 second.
(Do not press too strongly. it can cause this button broken.)
2. Touch Pen: Keep a touch pen in a hole.
3. DLC:Port for DLC main cable.
When connecting, if it sounds 'clack' on connector, then, it becomes connected well.
4. RJ45: Port for ethernet communication. Just now, it is not available. Later, it will be updated.
Do not use an internet cable. (It is now blocked with a sticker. When use, remove the sticker.)
5. RS232: Port for TPMSto read sensor values or to code by our TPMS a transmitter-receiver.
Just now, It is not available. Later, it will be updated.
6. DC12V: Port for a power adapter or cigar jack for power.
7. USB mini B : It is not available for user. (Your connecting can cause damage of the scanner.)
8. J2534 : Port for J2534 communication. It is not available. Later, it will be updated.
9. USB-B TYPE: USB port to PC for update the scanner and data.
Use our USB cable supplied with our scanner.
10. HDMI: Port for HDMI to other external monitor. Not available. Later, it will be updated.
11. USB-A TYPE: USB port for other external devices such as USB memory stick etc.
12. Forced termination button: Press this button when the program hang occurs to turn off the scanner.

How to use
1. Check a location of diagnostic connector on a car.
- If your car usesOBD-II, most diagnostic connector is
located between a handle and a brake pedal.
- If your car is old one, not supporting OBD-II, it requires a
additional connector. Check a proper connector among
what we supplies. Location of the connector may be
different according to car models.
2. Connect the AUTO-i 700 to a diagnostic connector on
your car through DLC main cable. If your car supplies power
to AUTO-i 700, PWR light on the front side of the AUTO-i
700 will be turned on. If so, you do not need to connect
power cable.
3. Turn on AUTO-i 700.
- Press power button for a second to start boot with
booting sound.
(Use only our AC/DC power adapter. Use your scanner
after charging batter fully.
- Remove a protection film before using it.
4. Select a car model.
- Chose a region on the left side to see the region`s car.
- 'Total' shows all car brand in alphabetical order.
- 'Favorite' shows what you saved as a favorite.
How to download programs
AUTO-i 700 needs diagnostic program to operate. Also, it is required to update new software and firmware sometimes
for new vehicle model and new system.
- Please contact to where you purchased about downloading latest software for update.
- Please refer to how to download on our website.

- In the future, you may download a software automatically via Wi-Fi without connection of cable and may print captured
screens wirelessly. (Printing wirelessly requires a PC connected to internet.) Soon we will make a notice in our website after
completing development.

Caution!
AUTO-i 700 mentioned in this User's Guide is designed for those who havebasic qualifications for using this system.Users
should follow the safety instructions for safe and efficient use of the product.
- Do not drop AUTO-i 700. (It can cause damage to a LCD and a touch screen.)
- Always use it in the rubber shroud to product it.
- Do not place AUTO-i 700on the power distributor.
Although AUTO-i 700 is manufactured to internally prevent theinterference from the electromagnetic waves, the strong
interferenceby excessive electromagnetic waves may damage the product.
- Excessive surge or electric shock fed by a power cable may damagethe power supply system of AUTO-i 700.
So, do not use the product while the power supply is unstable.
- The voltage rating of the AC/DC adapter is 12V DC.
Be sure to use an AC/DC adaptor with the rated voltage.
- Be careful not to let water or oil get into the product. (The product can be severely damaged.)
- Please check if there is short circuit through communication connectors of OBD-II or a vehicle in the case of flooded
cars. (It can cause damage of scanner.)
- Be sure to use the USB cable supplied by Carman International only.
- Otherwise, your PC or product can be damaged.
- Wireless update or wireless communication requires no hurdle between scanner and wireless devices.
Also, it is recommended to communicate within 10 km.
* Rechargeable Battery
- Voltage of the rechargeable battery pack gradually decreases even when the system does not run.
Before using the product for the first time, be sure to fully charge the battery.
- Always use the rechargeable battery pack provided by Our Company.
Using a 3rd party product may cause explosion. (7.4V 2200 mAh lithium ion battery pack)
- Do not heat the rechargeable battery pack. (It may cause explosion.)
- Do not short the battery pack terminal. (It may cause explosion.)
- Do not place the battery pack on or near hot material over 60ºC.(It may cause explosion.)
- Keep the battery pack away from touch of children or an animal.(It may cause a fire or injury.)
- To prevent the battery pack from being discharged, always connect the power source before using the system.
Screen captures, flight record and other information can be erased due to the dischargedbattery pack.
- The battery is consumable and the warranty period is 6 months from purchase date.
- If the product is not used over 3 months, the contained battery may be discharged
andswollen.
- Please charge your battery at least once per 2 or 3 month for 24 hours.
