1 1 Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the CC 604: we hope this Cashtester coin counter and counter for Euro
simplifies your daily work with coins. Following we provide all major information regarding the CC 604.
Please note that this sophisticated coin counter has to e cleaned regularly to guarantee an optimum
count and long life span. You will find directions for correct care and maintenance in chapter 3.1
Maintenance in this instruction manual. Should you experience pro lems with the unit in spite of correct
care, do not hesitate to contact your supplier.
1 2 Safety instructions
Only use the power ca le delivered with the product. The device is only to e opened y qualified
service technicians. Changes made to the hardware will void the warranty.

Settings and functions
2 1 Counting mode
Switch on the machine and the CC 604 will start in the normal
counting mode. Press START/STOP to start sorting: the LCD will
display the quantity and total value of the coins counted.
2 2 Batch mode
In the counting mode, press the + key to enter into atch mode: BAT ON will e displayed. Now the
atch function is switched ON: press + again to switch the atch function OFF.
ATTENTION: when you have switched on the atch function, you need to set the atch value(s) first via
the batch setting menu (see next page).

To enter the batch setting mode press SET in the counting mode.
Press PRINT/► to display the atch value of each denomination;
Press + or – to increase or decrease the atch value y 1;
Press and hold the + or – to adjust the value rapidly: when the value is more than 10, each adjustment
value is per 10 and when the value is more than 100, each adjustment value is per 100;
Press CLEAR to clear the setting value: press and hold CLEAR for two seconds to clear the setting
value of all denomination;
Press START/STOP to confirm and exit setting mode.
ATTENTION: when the atch value is set higher than the maximum quantity of container, the display will
show FULL. By pressing + you can switch etween Y (accept) and N (deny and num er will e set to 0)
and confirm the setting y pressing START/STOP.
When no atch quantity is set or when the atch function is turned off, the machine will stop at following
standard settings (maximum per container):
€ 0,01: 400 pieces € 0,20: 140 pieces
€ 0,02: 250 pieces € 0,50: 100 pieces
€ 0,05: 200 pieces € 1,00: 120 pieces
€ 0,10: 200 pieces € 2,00: 100 pieces
When the original containers are used, do not set the atch quantities higher than maximum as it
may result in damaging the CC 604.
2 3 Report mode
To get a report of the counted coins after the counting is finished, toggle etween the values y
pressing REP multiple times (€ 0,01 ► € 0,02 ► … ► € 2,00).
2 4 Date and time setting
In the counting mode, press SET 4 times to enter the date and time setting mode. The display will show
the setting in following order: YEAR, MONTH, DAY, TIME. Switching is possi le y pressing PRINT/►. Press
+ or – to change the setting. After a change, confirm y pressing START/STOP. Press this utton again to
leave this setting mode.
2 5 Printer setting
In the counting mode, press SET 3 times to enter the printer setting mode. By standard this is
set to model SP-POS58V which is the optional printer.
Maintenance and troubleshooting
4 1 Maintenance
In order to avoid miscounting errors, it is advised to clean the CC 604 regularly and at least once a week
as well internally as externally with a dry or moist cloth. Don’t use any detergent and disconnect from
mains efore cleaning the inside.
Also pay attention to the following:
if the temperature is lower than 20 degrees Celsius, please turn on the machine and wait for at
least 3 minutes efore counting so that the CC 604 can acclimatize;
the CC 604 shall e operated at places with good ventilation and kept away from strong sunshine
and strong magnetic fields;
the power plug of the machine shall e inserted to a grounded electrical socket;

4 2 Error messages and solutions
In case of an error, the num er is shown ottom right in the display.

5 Infrared in the channel 5 (20 cent) Clear the dust on the IR sensor. When the error remains, replace
IR emitter oard in the channel 5
6 Infrared in the channel 6 (1 Euro) Clear the dust on the IR sensor. When the error remains, replace
IR emitter oard in the channel 6
7 Infrared in the channel 7 (50 cent) Clear the dust on the IR sensor. When the error remains, replace
IR emitter oard in the channel 7

4 3 Brush setting / replacement
The rush must e replaced every 900.000 coins counted/sorted. To check this num er, switch the
counter OFF: now hold REP and – and switch it ack ON again and the num er will appear ottom right
in the display. Press START/STOP to exit this menu.
The CC 604 comes with the rush fixed on position 1.
When 400.000 coins passed, it is recommend to set it
to position 2 to guarantee the correct pressure which
means correct countings: in the display POS 2 is
shown. Disconnect mains and open the to cover:
switch the rush to position 2 and confirm y pressing
START/STOP.
When the quantity of counted coins exceeds 900.000
coins, the LCD will display BRUSH. You must replace
the rush now to assure correct counting/sorting. After replacement, start the unit as descri ed a ove
and when the num er is shown, press CLEAR to reset the counter. This process is essential to guarantee
the correct life span of the rush which means correct countings.
ATTENTION: clearing this num er is definitive and can’t e undone.
