• WARNING: Donot use the appliance if the
surface is cracked.
• Use the appliances according to the instructions in this user's manual. Failure to doso may
result in injury, damage to the appliance or adangerous situation.
• The appliance is intended exclusively for the preparation of drip coee. Use the appliance
only for the purpose for which it is intended.
• Before connecting the appliance to the mains socket, make sure that the nominal voltage
indicated on the rating plate matches the mains voltage of the socket.
• Connect the appliance only to aproperly grounded socket. For safety reasons, we don’t
recommend using adaptor plugs or extension cords.
• Donot place the appliance on window sills, sink drains or unstable surfaces. Always place
it on astable, at and dry surface.
• Donot place the appliance on an electric or gas hob or near an open ame.
• Never use the appliance in the near vicinity of abath, shower or swimming pool.
• Use the appliance only with the original accessories supplied with it.
• Only use the appliance with the glass kettle that comes with it. Donot overll the glass
kettle, place it on other heat sources or use it to heat liquids or food in the microwave.
• Donot use the appliance with aglass kettle that is cracked. If the kettle shows any signs of
damage, it must be replaced with anew one.
• Hot steam may rise from under the lid during operation. For this reason, leave at least
20cm of free space above the appliance.
• Always use only clean, cold water. Donot use heated water or other liquids. The maximum
capacity is 240 ml.
• Before switching on the appliance, make sure that the kettle is lled with sucient water
and the lid is properly tted. The water level must not exceed the maximum level.
WARNING:
• Donot remove the lid during the coee brewing process. Donot touch the hot kettle. This
could cause burns. Use the handle to lift and carry the kettle.
• Take extra care when handling the kettle lled with hot liquid to avoid scalding.
• Never pour cold or ice-cold water into the hot kettle. This could damage it.
• Switch o the appliance and allow it to cool for 10 minutes before reusing.
• The appliance is equipped with athermal safety fuse that automatically breaks the
electrical circuit if it overheats. If this occurs, unplug the appliance from the mains socket
and allow it to cool down. Once the appliance has cooled down, you can use it again.
Donot ll the kettle with cold water to cool the heating element quickly.
• Always switch o the appliance and unplug it from the mains socket if you are not going
to use it, if you are leaving it unattended, before dismantling or assembling it, before
lling the kettle, before moving it or before cleaning it. Allow the appliance to fully cool
down before cleaning or moving.
• Keep the appliance and its accessories clean. Cleaning and maintenance should be carried
out according to the instructions in the chapter Care and cleaning. Donot wash the
appliance under running water or immerse it in water or other liquids.
• Never move the appliance with alled kettle on the base.
• Make sure that the power cord does not come into contact with ahot surface and be
careful not to spill the power plug.
