CATLER RECOMMENDS SAFETY FIRST
We understand how important safety is, so from the initial concept to the actual production,
we think about your safety rst and foremost. Nevertheless, please be careful and follow the
instructions below when using the plate warmer.
• This appliance is not to be used by children.
Keep this appliance and its power cord out
of children.
• This appliance may be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities
or lack of experience and knowledge, provided
they are supervised or have been instructed in
the safe use of the appliance and understand
the potential hazards.
• Children must not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and maintenance by the user must
not be carried out by unsupervised children.
• If the power cord is damaged, have it replaced
in aprofessional service centre in order to
prevent adangerous situation. It is forbidden
to use the appliance with the power cord
damaged.
• This appliance is designed for household use
only. It is not intended for use in premises such as:
– kitchenettes in stores, oces and other
workplaces;
– agriculture;

– guests in hotels, motels and other dwelling
locations;
– bed and breakfast businesses.
• WARNING:
DONOT IMMERSE THE KETTLE, THE BASE,
THE POWER CORD OR THE POWER CORD
PLUG IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
• WARNING: Avoid spilling on the plug.
• Wash the glass kettle in warm water with alittle
dishwashing liquid, rinse and wipe dry with
aclean cloth.
• WARNING: Incorrect use may lead to injury.
• WARNING: The surface of the heating element
contains residual heat after use.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the
power supply when leaving it unattended and
before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.
• Use the kettle only with the supplied base.
• REMINDER:
NEVER FILL THE KETTLE ABOVE THE
MAX MARK AS HOT FOAMY COFFEE CAN
OVERFLOW DURING BREWING.
• The appliance must not be placed in acabinet
when in use.

• WARNING: Donot use the appliance if the
surface is cracked.
• Use the appliances according to the instructions in this user's manual. Failure to doso may
result in injury, damage to the appliance or adangerous situation.
• The appliance is intended exclusively for the preparation of drip coee. Use the appliance
only for the purpose for which it is intended.
• Before connecting the appliance to the mains socket, make sure that the nominal voltage
indicated on the rating plate matches the mains voltage of the socket.
• Connect the appliance only to aproperly grounded socket. For safety reasons, we don’t
recommend using adaptor plugs or extension cords.
• Donot place the appliance on window sills, sink drains or unstable surfaces. Always place
it on astable, at and dry surface.
• Donot place the appliance on an electric or gas hob or near an open ame.
• Never use the appliance in the near vicinity of abath, shower or swimming pool.
• Use the appliance only with the original accessories supplied with it.
• Only use the appliance with the glass kettle that comes with it. Donot overll the glass
kettle, place it on other heat sources or use it to heat liquids or food in the microwave.
• Donot use the appliance with aglass kettle that is cracked. If the kettle shows any signs of
damage, it must be replaced with anew one.
• Hot steam may rise from under the lid during operation. For this reason, leave at least
20cm of free space above the appliance.
• Always use only clean, cold water. Donot use heated water or other liquids. The maximum
capacity is 240 ml.
• Before switching on the appliance, make sure that the kettle is lled with sucient water
and the lid is properly tted. The water level must not exceed the maximum level.
WARNING:
• Donot remove the lid during the coee brewing process. Donot touch the hot kettle. This
could cause burns. Use the handle to lift and carry the kettle.
• Take extra care when handling the kettle lled with hot liquid to avoid scalding.
• Never pour cold or ice-cold water into the hot kettle. This could damage it.
• Switch o the appliance and allow it to cool for 10 minutes before reusing.
• The appliance is equipped with athermal safety fuse that automatically breaks the
electrical circuit if it overheats. If this occurs, unplug the appliance from the mains socket
and allow it to cool down. Once the appliance has cooled down, you can use it again.
Donot ll the kettle with cold water to cool the heating element quickly.
• Always switch o the appliance and unplug it from the mains socket if you are not going
to use it, if you are leaving it unattended, before dismantling or assembling it, before
lling the kettle, before moving it or before cleaning it. Allow the appliance to fully cool
down before cleaning or moving.
• Keep the appliance and its accessories clean. Cleaning and maintenance should be carried
out according to the instructions in the chapter Care and cleaning. Donot wash the
appliance under running water or immerse it in water or other liquids.
• Never move the appliance with alled kettle on the base.
• Make sure that the power cord does not come into contact with ahot surface and be
careful not to spill the power plug.

• Disconnect the appliance from the mains socket by pulling the plug, not the power cord.
Otherwise, damage to the power cord or the socket could occur.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT
• Fully unwind the power cord before use. Connect the appliance only to aproperly
grounded socket.
• Donot leave the power cord hanging over the edge of atable or countertop or allow it to
touch ahot surface or to become tangled up.
• For safety reasons, we recommend that the appliance is connected to aseparate electrical
circuit, isolated from other appliances. Donot use asplitter or extension cord to connect
the appliance to amains socket.
• Donot use this appliance in moving vehicles or boats, donot use it outdoors, donot use
it for any purpose other than that for which it is intended. Failure to doso may result in
injury.
• Any maintenance other than routine cleaning must be entrusted to an authorised
Catler service center. To avoid the risk of electric shock, donot repair and/or make any
adjustments to the appliance by yourselves.
• We recommend that you install acurrent protector (standard safety switches in your
socket) to ensure increased protection when using the appliance. We recommend that
acurrent protector (with arated residual operating current of no more than 30 mA) be
installed in the electrical circuit in which the appliance will be connected. Contact your
electrician for further professional advice.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove all packaging and advertising labels
from the appliance before rst use.
Wash the lid, gasket, stainless steel lter and
measuring cup in warm water with alittle
dishwashing liquid, rinse with clean water
and wipe dry. Put the gasket back on the
stainless steel lter.
Rinse the glass kettle with clean water and
wipe dry.
Wipe the base with adry cloth.

USING THE COFFEE MAKER
1. Turn the lid counterclockwise and
remove the lid with the stainless steel
lter from the glass kettle.
2. Pour clean, cold water into the glass
kettle up to the MAX mark.

3. Unscrew the bottom of the stainless steel
lter and pour in about 14g of ground
coee (2 aligned measuring cups).
4. Screw the bottom of the stainless steel
lter back on and make sure the lter is
tightened securely. Check that the gasket
is tted.
5. Insert the stainless steel lter lid into the
glass kettle so that the protrusion on
the neck of the kettle is aligned with the
open lock symbol. Then turn clockwise to
the closed lock symbol.
6. Place the kettle on the base.
7. Plug the power cord plug into the mains
socket.
8. Press the button and the display will
ash 1:00 and the button . Press

the button repeatedly to set the
desired extraction time: 1:00 – 2:00 –
3:00. Wait about 5 seconds and the coee
maker will start.
9. The numeric display will show the rising
temperature.
10. When the temperature reaches
approximately 95°C to 96°C, the spout
draws in water and pumps it through
the stainless steel lter to the top of the
kettle, where extraction begins.
11. An audible alert sounds and the display
starts counting down the set extraction
time.
NOTE:
During the entire extraction period, the
water in the kettle will almost boil and
the coee maker will cycle on and o.
This is normal.
12. Once the set extraction time has elapsed,
the extracted coee is automatically
pumped back into the bottom of the
pot and the coee maker switches to
temperature retention mode. The display
will start counting down the temperature
retention time of 30 minutes. The coee
maker will maintain acoee temperature
of 80°C to 85°C.
13. If you remove the kettle from the base
for more than 5 seconds during this time,
the function will automatically cancel
and an audible signal will sound.
NOTE:
You can cancel the brewing process and
the preserve function at any time by
pressing the button .
14. If you need to switch the temperature
retention function back on, press the
button briey and the display will
start anew 30-minute countdown.
NOTE:
While the temperature retention
function is switched on, the coee
machine is switched on and o
periodically. This is normal. The coee
maker heats the coee to the desired
temperature.
15. Remove the kettle from the base and
place it on arm, dry and heat-resistant
surface.
16. Turn the lid counterclockwise and very
carefully remove the lid with the stainless
steel lter from the glass kettle.

17. Pour the nished coee into cups and
enjoy.
18. Allow the machine to cool suciently
for at least 10 minutes before preparing
again.
WARNING:
NEVER POUR
COLD OR ICECOLD
WATER INTO THE
HOT KETTLE. THIS
COULD DAMAGE IT.
CARE AND CLEANING
Before cleaning the appliance, always unplug
the power cord from the mains socket and
allow it to cool suciently.
We recommend cleaning immediately after
using the coee machine to prevent deposits
or stains.

CAUTION:
Donot use sharp objects, chemicals,
thinners, petrol or other similar substances.
Under no circumstances should the
appliance be cleaned with asteam cleaner.
No part of the coee maker is dishwasher
safe.
CLEANING THE GLASS KETTLE
Rinse the glass kettle with clean water and
wipe dry. If the kettle is heavily soiled, you
can use the supplied brush to remove the
dirt.

CLEANING THE LID, SEAL, STAINLESS
STEEL FILTER AND MEASURING CUP
Allow the stainless steel lter to cool
suciently.
Unscrew the bottom of the stainless steel
lter and dispose of the used ground coee
in the municipal waste or you can compost it.
Wash the lid, gasket, stainless steel lter and
measuring cup in warm water with alittle
dishwashing liquid, rinse with clean water
and wipe dry. Put the gasket back on the
stainless steel lter.
CLEANING THE BASE
Wipe the base with adry cloth.
STORAGE
Before storing, make sure that the appliance
is clean, dry and completely cooled down.
Store it in awell-ventilated, dry place out of
reach of children and pets.
