A helmet reduces the serious ess of head i juries but
does ot elimi ate the risk of serious or eve mortal
i juries. It does ot guara tee protectio agai st all
types of impact. A helmet which is damaged by a
impact will have served its purpose. If it is subjected to
a impact, whe i use or otherwise, the helmet
should be discarded, eve if the damage is ot visible.
To e sure that the helmet provides maximum
protectio it must fit properly, be put on properly,
must be locked properly.

If without cheek pads, adjust the cross buckles so that
the straps form a “Y” u der your earlobe, without
coveri g it. The strap must sit u der your jaw, agai st
your throat. The straps must be correctly faste ed:
either too tightly or too loosely. They are correctly
faste ed whe your forehead is ot u covered whe
you tip your head backwards, a d whe your field of
visio is ot impaired whe you od your head
forwards. You must ot be able to remove the helmet
whe the buckle is faste ed.

Clea your helmet o ly with lukewarm water, mild
soap, a d a soft cloth. Allow the helmet to dry i the
ope air a d the store i a cold, dry locatio . High
temperatures ca seriously damage the helmet.
Alteratio s to the helmet, especially applicatio of
var ish a d stickers, the removal of i er labels or the
use of aggressive clea i g age ts, chemicals, a d
solve ts, may affect the protective properties of your
helmet.
We advise you to replace your helmet five year
after the production date. For maintenance purpose
use exclusively GM original spare parts.
