Leggere attentamente prima dell’uso e conservare
queste istruzioni per riferimento futuro.
AVVERTENZE DI SICUREZZA

La norma Europea EN 60335-1:2012 prevede,
a tutela della sicurezza dei bambini, che que-
sto apparecchio possa essere utilizzato solo da
bambini di età superiore a 8 anni sotto la super-
visione di un adulto. Artsana S.p.A. in ottempe-
ranza a quanto previsto dalla vigente normati-
va, riporta qui di seguito l’avvertenza prevista
da tale norma:

del manuale.
Il giusto grado di umidità dell’ambiente con-
tribuisce a mantenere le funzioni protettive
naturali delle mucose nasali e delle vie respi-
ratorie, creando così le migliori condizioni per
il benessere dei bambini. Prima di accendere
l’umidicatore, vericate attentamente la
temperatura e l’umidità relativa dell’ambiente
in cui si trova, seguendo i valori riportati qui
di seguito in tabella e confrontandoli con un
igrometro Chicco (non fornito).

MODALITA D’USO
OPERAZIONI PRELIMINARI
1. Posizionare l’apparecchio nella zona pre-
scelta rispettando le precauzioni specica-
te nel paragrafo Avvertenze.
2. Posizionare il prodotto in modo che il vapo-
re non sia indirizzato verso persone, mobili,
tende, pareti, apparecchi elettrici od ogget-

3. Rimuovere il coperchio (E) utilizzando gli
appositi punti di presa (F) (Fig.2), quindi
vericare che il condotto vapore e la sua
copertura (J) siano correttamente inseriti
e ancorati nella tanica. Riempire la tanica
(C) con acqua fredda potabile o distillata

facendo attenzione a non superare il livello
Max (D) indicato (Fig.3). Una volta comple-
tata l’operazione, richiudere il coperchio (E).
Accertarsi che il coperchio sia posizionato
correttamente.
4. Se lo si desidera, inserire qualche goccia di
olio o di liquido aromatico nella vaschet-
ta adibita a porta essenze (H) (Fig. 4). Fare
sempre attenzione che l’olio o il liquido
aromatico non vengano in contatto con le
superci esterne della tanica o tracimino
penetrando all’interno dell’apparecchio
attraverso il foro del bocchettone di uscita
vapore (G).
5. Collegare la spina del cavo di alimentazione
,BEVOBQSFTBEJDPSSFOUFGBDJMNFOUFBD-
cessibile solo da parte di un adulto.
ACCENSIONE e SPEGNIMENTO
6. Premere l’interruttore di accensione (A)
nella posizione (I), la spia luminosa (B) si
illuminerà (Fig. 5).
7. Attenzione: il usso di vapore inizierà ad
uscire solo dopo qualche minuto dall’ac-
censione dell’apparecchio (circa 6 minuti).
8. Attenzione: non avvicinare mai il viso o
le mani al bocchettone di uscita vapore (G),
od ostruirlo con oggetti. La temperatura del
vapore potrebbe causare serie scottature.
9. Attenzione: quando l’acqua contenuta
nella tanica (C) si esaurisce, l’apparecchio
dopo qualche minuto smette di riscaldare,
il pulsante dell’interruttore (A) rimane in po-
sizione (I) e la spia (B) si spegne. Spegnere
l’apparecchio premendo l’interruttore (A) in
posizione (O) (Fig.5), staccare la spina dalla
presa di corrente e riempire nuovamente la
tanica come indicato nel paragrafo Opera-
zioni preliminari.

to riscaldante (I) per la produzione del vapore
quando l’acqua contenuta nella tanica (C) si
esaurisce.
10. Per poter riattivare la produzione del va-
pore occorre sempre prima spegnere,
quindi attendere che l’elemento riscal-
dante si sia sucientemente rareddato,
poi riaccendere l’apparecchio tramite l’in-
terruttore (A).
11. Attenzione: non rimuovere mai il co-
perchio (E) senza aver prima spento l’ap-
parecchio e staccato la spina del cavo di
alimentazione dalla presa di corrente.
12. Per spegnere completamente l’apparecchio
premere il pulsante (A) in posizione (O).
13. Attenzione: subito dopo lo spegni-
mento, l’acqua contenuta nella vasca
riscaldante (C) potrebbe continuare a bol-
lire ancora per qualche minuto.
14. Attenzione: se a seguito di operazioni
di riempimento o di svuotamento del-
la tanica, le pareti esterne del prodotto
(compresa la base dello stesso) dovessero
risultare bagnate, provvedere immediata-
mente ad asciugarle con un panno pulito
prima di inserire la spina nella presa elet-
trica e della successiva accensione dell’ap-
parecchio.
PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE
Attenzione!
Prima di eettuare le seguenti operazioni

l’apparecchio, staccare la spina del cavo di
BMJNFOUB[JPOF,EBMMBQSFTBEJDPSSFOUFFMB-
sciare rareddare completamente l’apparec-
chio, compreso il coperchio (E) e il condotto
vapore (J).
Pulizia della tanica, della vasca riscal-
dante e del coperchio
Durante il normale funzionamento dell’appa-
recchio, a causa dei sali contenuti nell’acqua,
si potrebbero formare incrostazioni di calca-
re nel condotto del vapore (J) e nella vasca
riscaldante (I). Tali incrostazioni potrebbero

delle incrostazioni. Le incrostazioni diminui-
scono le prestazioni e potrebbero impedire il
normale funzionamento dell’apparecchio. Si
raccomanda pertanto di eettuare la decal-
cicazione almeno una volta alla settimana
come segue:
1. Utilizzando gli appositi punti di presa (F),

rimuovere il coperchio (E).
2. All’interno della tanica, rimuovere la co-
pertura del condotto vapore (J) ed estrarre
quest’ultimo dalla sua sede ruotandolo in
senso orario (Fig.6).
3. Riempire la tanica con acqua potabile fredda.

completamente l’acqua dal punto di scolo
posto sul retro dell’apparecchio (L) e fa-
cendo attenzione a non bagnare il cavo di

sione (A) (Fig. 7).
5. Pulire il gruppo riscaldante (canale di ali-
mentazione, vasca riscaldante e resistenza)
(I) posto al centro della tanica dell’acqua,
rimuovendo i depositi di calcare.
6. Dopo aver rimosso l’eventuale acqua resi-
dua, versare nella tanica circa 2 litri di una
soluzione composta di acqua e aceto di
vino bianco in parti uguali, riposizionare il
coperchio (E) sulla tanica e attendere circa
4 ore. Agitare delicatamente l’apparecchio
per qualche minuto, rimuovere gli eventua-
li residui di calcare con un panno. Risciac-
RVBSFQJÜWPMUFDPOBDRVBQPUBCJMFMBUBOJDB
dell’acqua (C), il coperchio (E) e in particola-
re il condotto vapore (J), la sua copertura (J)
e la vasca riscaldante (I). Lasciare sgocciola-
re e asciugare accuratamente con un pan-
no soce la tanica dell’acqua, il coperchio,
il condotto vapore e la sua copertura.
7. Asciugare esternamente passando delica-
tamente un panno asciutto su tutta la su-
percie dell’apparecchio.
8. Riposizionare il condotto vapore nella sua
sede all’interno della tanica, ruotandolo in
senso anti-orario ed inserire nuovamente la
sua copertura.
9. Riposizionare il coperchio.
10. Nel caso l’apparecchio non venga utilizza-
to per un lungo periodo, dopo la pulizia,
asciugare subito accuratamente tutte le
sue parti, quindi riporlo in un luogo asciut-
to e riparato.
Pulizia esterna dell’apparecchio
Pulire le parti esterne dell’apparecchio utiliz-
zando un panno morbido. Non usare prodotti
abrasivi, alcool, solventi o prodotti similari, in
quanto le superci dell’apparecchio si dan-
neggerebbero irrimediabilmente.
Attenzione!
1. Non immergere l’apparecchio in acqua
o altro liquido, non porlo sotto l’acqua o
utilizzarlo in presenza di getti d’acqua; nel
caso parti elettriche venissero in contatto
con acqua, non utilizzare l’apparecchio
ma rivolgersi al rivenditore o ad un centro
di assistenza autorizzato dal distributore
Artsana S.p.A..
2. Tenere l’acqua lontana dal cavo di alimen-

pore dopo la ne di un ciclo di utilizzo,
occorre sempre prima spegnere, quindi
attendere che l’elemento riscaldante si sia
sucientemente rareddato, poi riaccen-
dere l’apparecchio tramite l’interruttore (A).
5) Inviare l’apparecchio per verica al centro
di assistenza Artsana contattando il servi-
zio consumatori Artsana.

The right degree of humidity of the
environment helps maintain the natural
protective functions of the nasal mucous
membranes and respiratory tract, thus
creating the best conditions for the well-
being of babies. Before turning on the
humidifier, carefully check the temperature
and relative humidity of the surrounding
environment, following the values given
below in the table and comparing them with
a Chicco hygrometer (not supplied).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
1. Position the appliance in its selected
position, observing the requirements
outlined in the Warnings paragraph.
2. Position the product so that the steam is
not directed towards persons, furniture,
curtains, walls, electrical appliances or

moisture.
3. Remove the lid (E) using the appropriate
holding points (F) (Fig.2), then check that
the steam duct and its cover (J) are correctly
inserted and secured in the tank. Fill the
tank (C) with cold drinking or distilled water
being careful not to exceed the Max level
(D) indicated (Fig. 3). Once the operation is
completed, close the lid (E). Ensure that the
lid is positioned correctly.
4. If desired, insert a few drops of oil or aromatic
liquid into the essence container (H) (Fig. 4).
Always make sure the oil or aromatic liquid
does not come in contact with the outer
surfaces of the water tank or spills over,
penetrating the inside of the appliance
through the steam outlet hole (G).

7. Warning: the flow of steam will only start
a few minutes after the unit is switched on
(about 6 minutes).
8. Warning: never place your face or hands
near the steam outlet (G), or block it with
objects. The temperature of the steam can
cause serious burns.
9. Warning: When the water contained in
the water tank (C) reaches the minimum
filling level, the machine stops heating
after a few minutes, the switch button
(A) remains in position (I) and the light (B)
turns off. Switch the unit off by pressing
the switch (A) into position (O) (Fig. 5),
remove the plug from the socket and refill
the tank as indicated in the paragraph on
Preliminary operations.
Warning: The appliance is equipped with
an automatic device which turns off the
heating element (I) for the production of
steam when the water contained in the water
tank (C) is finished.
10. To reactivate the production of steam,
always first switch off, then wait for the
heating element to cool down sufficiently,
then switch back on via the switch (A).
11. Warning: Never remove the lid (E)
without first switching off the appliance
and removing the plug of the power
cable from the socket.
12. To completely switch off the appliance,
push the switch (A) into position (O).
13. Warning: Immediately after switching
off the appliance, the water contained in
the heating tank (C) may continue to boil
for a few minutes.
14. Warning: If, as a result of filling or
emptying of the water tank, the outside
walls of the product (including its base)
should become wet, immediately dry
them with a clean cloth, before inserting
the plug into the socket and switching on
the appliance once again.

Cleaning of the water tank, the heating
tank and lid
During normal use of the appliance, due to
salts in the water, scale deposits may form
on the steam duct (J) and in the heating tank
(I). These deposits could form fairly quickly
according to the type of water, its hardness
and frequency of use of the appliance. The
higher the water hardness, the faster the
formation of deposits. Deposits decrease
performance and may impede normal
operation of the appliance. As such decalcify
at least once a week as follows:
1. Remove the lid (E) using the holding points (F).
2. Inside the tank, remove the cover of the
steam duct (J) and extract the latter from its
seat by turning it clockwise (Fig. 6).
3. Refill the tank with cold drinking water.
4. Rinse several times, allowing the water to
drain from the drain point on the side of
the appliance (L), taking care not to wet

5. Clean the heating unit (supply channel,
heating tank and resistance) (I) located at
the centre of the water tank, removing the
calcium deposits.
6. After having removed any residual water,
pour about 2 litres of a solution made up of
equal parts water and white wine vinegar
into the water tank. Reposition the lid (E) on
the water tank (C) and wait about 4 hours.
Then gently shake the appliance for a few
minutes and remove any residues of calcium
with a cloth. Rinse the water tank (C) several
times with drinking water, the lid (E) and in
particular the steam duct (J), its cover (J) and
the heating tank (I). Allow to drain and dry
thoroughly with a soft cloth the water tank,
the lid, the steam duct and its cover.
7. Dry the inside, passing a dry cloth gently
over the entire surface of the appliance.
8. Reposition the steam duct in its seat on the
inside of the tank turning it anti-clockwise
and re-insert its cover.

9. Reposition the lid.
10. If the appliance is not to be used for a long
period, after cleaning, dry all parts of the
unit immediately, then store it in a dry and
protected place.
External cleaning of the appliance
Clean the outer parts of the appliance using
a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners,
alcohol, solvents or similar products which
could cause irreparable damage to the
surfaces of the appliance.
