Preventative maintenance is an important part of the continued and proper operation of your product. Failure to perform maintenance as required, and in accordance
with the maintenance schedule specified by Christie, will void the warranty.
REGULATORY (if applicable)
The product has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide
reasonable protection against harmful interference when the product is operated in a commercial environment. The product generates, uses, and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of the
product in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at the user’s own expense. Changes
or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

This manual is intended for operators of Christie CounterAct UR10.
The illustrations in this document are for representation only and may not depict your
lamp model exactly.
Only Christie qualified technicians who are knowledgeable about the hazards associated with optical
radiation, high-voltage are authorized to assemble, install, and service the Christie CounterAct UR10.

Danger! If not avoided, the following could result in death or serious injury.
•Always power down and disengage all power sources to the product prior to servicing.
•Make sure the ceiling is capable to bear the weight of the lamp.
•Do not touch product with wet hand.
•Ensure the voltage given on the rating label or in the instruction manual complies with the power
supply.
•Christie CounterAct products with patented Care222 technology are not for use as or for medical
devices.
Caution! If not avoided, the following could result in minor or moderate injury.
•UV RADIATION HAZARD! This equipment is designed for use with germicidal lamps or UV sources
and must be installed in compliance with competent technical directions and manufacturer's site
planning recommendations to prevent the user's eyes and bare skin from exposure to harmful UV
or optical radiation. Recommendations include the relative location of each UV-generating device,
the minimum distances between the devices and other objects or surfaces, and protection from
line-of-sight exposure to UV radiation in occupied spaces located above the equipment mounting
area (for example, upper floor balconies, open staircases, and so on).
•Check the product after unpacking for damage. Do not install damaged product
•UV-C OR OPTICAL RADIATION HAZARD! UV-C emitted from this product, avoid eye and skin
exposure to the light source.
•Mercury is included, if a lamp breaks, ventilate the room for more than 20 mins and then remove
the part with wearing gloves.
Patented Care222 UV lamp safety precautions
Caution! If not avoided, the following could result in minor or moderate injury.
•PERSONAL INJURY HAZARD! Eye damage may result from directly viewing the light produced by
the lamp in this product. Always turn off the lamp before performing maintenance or service.
•UV-C emitted from this product, avoid eye and skin exposure to the light source.
•Use protective eye wear and gloves when handling the lamp module.
•Mercury is included, if a lamp breaks, ventilate the room for more than 20 mins and then remove
the part with wearing gloves.
•Keep the children or pets away from the UV-C module.
•Only qualified Christie technicians are authorized to disassemble or replace the UV-C module.
Product labels
Learn about the labels that may be used on the product. Labels on your product may be yellow or
black and white.
General hazards
Hazard warnings also apply to accessories once they are installed in a Christie product that is
connected to power.

Christie CounterAct overview
Christie CounterAct UR10 is a commercial UV disinfection fixture containing Ushio Inc.’s patented
Care222®
lamps that emit far-UVC 222nm light, shown to significantly reduce surface pathogens in occupied and
unoccupied indoor spaces. Care222® is based on far-UVC germicidal technology that may also be used
around people and it is the only product with a proprietary filter that prevents longer UVC wavelengths
from being emitted.
The Christie CounterAct fixtures are installed in the ceiling throughout a space. The light spreads out
in a fixed cone size. Therefore as the ceiling height increases or decreases the output power must be

Christie UV server
Install the Christie UV server
1. Copy the installer to the server
2. Type sudo chmod +x uvlight-server-installer-xxx.run to give the execution authority, xxx
means the version of the installer, “0.0.1” for example
3. Type sudo ./uvlight-server-installer-xxx.run to run the installer
4. Install success, check the services by sudo docker stack services uvlight-server, the services need a
while to start , you may wait for a while
5. The server root dir is /var/lib/uvlight-server, you can use the script to control the server
a) use sudo ./redeploy-services.sh to restart the server
b) use sudo ./remove-services.sh to stop the server
Server Update
1. Copy the installer to the server
2. Type sudo chmod +x uvlight-server-installer-xxx.run to give the execution authority, xxx
means the version of the installer, “0.0.1” for example
3. Type sudo ./uvlight-server-installer-xxx.run to run the installer
4. Install success, check the services by sudo docker stack services uvlight-server, the services
need a while to start , you may wait for a while
Uninstall Server
You can use the remove-services.sh in /var/lib/uvlight-server to stop the services, or just type
sudo docker stack rm uvlight-server.
But we recommend clients keep the files in /var/lib/uvlight-server.
If you are sure you don’t need the data anymore, you can delete the files in /var/lib/uvlight-
server.
The docker images can be listed by sudo docker image ls, and removed by sudo docker image rm
$image_name where $image_name is the name of the image you want to remove.

Config Tool
Config-tool is a software developed in VC++ 2013 that can run on a Windows system for server
connection, maintenance registration and other processes. It’s used to configure the network for the
UV Lights with Ethernet connected.
1. After extracting the pack config-tool.rar, there is an executable file christie_uv.exe under the
config-tool, double-click the program.
2. Click the menu button, a dialog to pops up, enter related info to set the server information.
3. If the user’s computer has multiple network cards, you need to click the menu button to select the
network card.
4. Click the Search button to search available devices, and the program will list the searched results.
5. Among the listed devices, right click to select the device, or select all the devices in the device list,
select register.

TobChristie UV Tob
Logging into Christie UV tob
Log into the Christie UV Tob application to manage the room and fixtures.
1. Open the Christie UV Tob application.
2. Enter the server information need to configure, Select Log in.
Add new server
1. Open the App.
2. Click the bottom status bar, the last Settings page.
3. Then touch the +icon.
4. You can then fill in the corresponding information,and touch Save
Add device
1. Open the Christe UV Tob App.
2. Config the server information.
3. Click the “plus” + on the home page and select the type of device you want to add.
4. Take a look at the preparations you need to make before adding the device. After completing the
installation, select “Appeal Operation Completed” and click “Next”.
5. If there is no wifi connection, you can switch to the network that the device needs to connect to
(not supporting 5G network, supporting 2.4g network). After the connection is successful, return to
the APP and enter the wifi password, and click “Next”.
6. If you enter the boot page of network configuration, you can only actively switch to the setting
page, go to the wifi list to query the wifi broadcast at the beginning of Christe, and then connect and
switch back to the APP(If you don’t have auto-connect to the Internet you can just skip to step 7).
7. Wait about 2 minutes. After the configuration is complete, the configuration succeeded or failed
page is displayed.
8. If you enter the Add success page, you can add groups, change device names, and simply turn on
and off lights to distinguish devices.
9. If is shows the “Connection failed” interface, click “Try again” to repeat the operating steps of
adding a new device.

Register to Christie
1. Scan QR code with mobile phone with network
2. Access the scan result link to obtain a registration code
3. Enter the registration code
4. Click the “Register ” button
Switch UV Mode
1. Select the device need to be controlled, select Details
2. Select UV mode, then select Change
3. For safety, you need to select the UV level corresponding to the UV Mode knob on the device.
The setting you select must be the same as the UV Mode knob in the blue area on the
device, otherwise the control will fail
4. Then select the level you want to adjust to. Select Save

Create a group
1. From the homepage, select Group .
2. From the Group homepage, select Add (+) on the top right.

3. In the Add group dialogue, enter group name, select Next.
4. Then select the device you want to add to the group, select Save.
Add/Delete device in group
1. From the Group homepage, select the group you need to manage.
2. From the group info page,Select Details .
3. From the group information page, select Device for group.
a) Select + Add to add new device to the group.
b) Select the device you want to delete, left slide and select to delete

3. Check the Horizontal State of the device.
a) If the Horizontal State is Fault
b) Check that the device is suspended horizontally.

c) If not, for safety, adjust the device so that it is horizontal to the ground.
d) Hang on for a while on this interface and check if the Horizontal State returns to normal.
e) If the status of the device does not return to normal and you have confirmed that the device is
horizontal to the ground. Select Calibration.
4. Select the Confirm Horizontal State
5. Select Start to perform horizontal calibration.
If the Horizontal State of the device is Fault, the Care222 module of this product will not
be able to work.
