this instruction manual carefully to ensure correct use. After reading, be sure to store this

1. Opening the cover
A crown (the small knob at the side of the watch) is placed at 3 o'clock direction. There is an opening
on the watch cover at 6 o'clock position. Open the watch cover with your finger by lifting it from the
opening.
2. Reading the time
A crown is placed at 3 o'clock position. Read the time by directly touching the watch hands after
opening the watch cover. The shorter hand is the hour hand and the longer one is the minute hand.
For the purpose of reading the time more easily, the marks near the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock on the dial
are triangle and while other marks are circle. Close the watch cover every time after reading the time.

3. Setting the time
(1) Pull the crown at 3 o'clock position out.
The watch stops when the crown is pulled out.
(2) Rotate the crown to set the time.
(3) After setting the time, push the crown into the original position. The watch starts running when
the crown is pushed in.
4. Removing the clasp
There are projections about 5mm high at both sides of the band clasp.
Push both the projections softly to remove the lock of the band clasp.
Caution
Touch the watch hands softly.
The hands may be displaced or deformed if they are pushed hardly with your finger resulting in
incorrect reading of the time.

<Water Resistance>
• Do not operate the crown when the watch is wet. In addition, do not open the watch cover or read
the time with your fingers wet. Water may enter the watch causing damage to vital components.
<Temperature>
• The watch may stop or the function of the watch may be impaired in extremely high or low
temperature. Do not use the watch in places where the temperature is outside the operating
temperature range as stated in the specifications.
<Magnetism>
• Analog quartz watches are powered by a step motor that uses a magnet. Subjecting the watch to
strong magnetism from the outside can cause the motor to operate improperly and prevent the
watch from keeping time accurately.
Do not allow the watch to come into close proximity to magnetic health devices (magnetic
necklaces, magnetic elastic bands, etc.) or the magnets used in the latches of refrigerator doors,
clasps used in handbags, the speaker of a cell phone, electromagnetic cooking devices and so on.
<Strong Shock>
• Avoid dropping the watch or subjecting it to other strong impact. It may cause malfunctions and/
or performance deterioration as well as damage to the case and bracelet.
<Static Electricity>
•The integrated circuits (IC) used in quartz watches are sensitive to static electricity. Please note the
watch may operate erratically or not at all if exposed to intense static electricity.
<Chemicals, Corrosive Gasses and Mercury>
• Do not use the watch in chemicals or in gaseous environment. If paint thinner, benzene or other
solvents or products containing these solvents (including gasoline, nail-polish remover, cresol,
bathroom cleaners and adhesives, water repellent, etc.) are allowed to come into contact with the
watch, they may cause discoloration, deterioration and damage materials of the watch. Be careful
when handling these chemicals. Contact with mercury such as that used in thermometers may also
cause discoloration of the band and case.

may contact with water.

Safety precautions
<Always Keep Your Watch clean>
• Do not open the watch cover or read the time with your fingers wet. Foreign matters may enter into
the watch inside and may cause damage.
<Storing the Watch>
• Wipe any dirt or moisture such as perspiration from the case and crystal with a soft cloth.
• If you will not be using your watch for an extended period of time, carefully wipe off any
perspiration, dirt or moisture and store in a proper location, avoiding locations subject to
excessively high or low temperatures and high humidity.
Warning Handling of battery
• Do not remove the battery from the watch by yourself.
If for any reason it becomes necessary to remove the battery from the watch, keep out of the reach
of children to prevent accidental swallowing.
• If the battery is accidentally swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Caution Battery replacement
• The battery life of this watch is approximately 3 years.
• When the battery is worn out and left inside the watch, battery leakage may cause damage to the
watch. Replace the battery as soon as possible.
• Use the specified battery when replacing it.
