Safety
• Be careful, thejug and its lid become very hot during use.
• Thesoup maker must only be connected to a220–240V, 50/60Hz earthed outlet.
• Thesoup maker may be used by children aged 8 or over provided they have been instructed
in thesafe use of theappliance and that they understand thehazards or risks involved.
Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children aged 8 or over, but only under
adult supervision.
• Thesoup maker may be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability,
lack of experience or knowledge which could jeopardise their safety, provided they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning thesafe use of theappliance and understand
thehazards involved. Never let children play with thesoup maker.
• Keep thesoup maker and its mains lead out of reach of children under theage of 8.
• Never use thesoup maker if it or themains lead has been damaged in any way.
• Thesoup maker is only intended for normal domestic use and only in themanner described
in this instruction manual.
• Never leave thesoup maker unattended during use.
• Always keep hands, fingers and loose clothing away from theblade while it is spinning.
• Never attempt to switch thesoup maker on when thejug is empty.
• Make sure that thelid is properly closed before switching thesoup maker on.
• Never immerse thesoup maker, its mains lead or plug in water or other liquid.
• Never move thesoup maker whilst it is switched on.
• Never allow water or other liquids to come into contact with theelectrical connectors.
If this should happen, unplug thesoup maker from thewall socket immediately and dry
theconnectors thoroughly.
• This soup maker contains no parts that you can repair yourself. Any repairs and servicing
of theappliance must only be carried out by qualified service technicians.
• Always unplug thesoup maker from thewall socket after use and before cleaning.
• Place thesoup maker on afirm, level surface where there is no risk of it tipping over.
• Position thesoup maker where air can circulate freely around it during use.
• Theexterior of thejug can become hot during use, only touch thehandle.
• Thesoup maker is intended for indoor use only.
• Do not handle theplug or soup maker with wet hands.
• Do not position or use thesoup maker where there is arisk of it falling into water or other
liquid. Do not use theappliance in awet or humid environment.
• Use and store thesoup maker out of reach of children.
• Do not connect thesoup maker to awall socket to which other appliances are already connected.
