1. Fill themeasuring cup (7) with cold water up to therequired mark and pour it into
thebase (4).
2. Place theegg holder (3) in thebase.
3. Carefully make asmall hole in thewider end of each egg using theegg piercer (8).
This prevents theegg from cracking during boiling.
4. Place theeggs with thehole upwards in theegg holder and put thelid on theegg boiler (2).
5. Connect it to awall socket and push theon/off switch to theIposition. The indicator
light (6) will come on and thewater will start to heat up.
6. The egg is ready when anaudible signal can be heard. Push theon/off switch back
to the0position and disconnect thepower cable from thewall socket.
7. Carefully remove thelid and allow thecondensation to drain.
Note: Hold thehandle to avoid being scalded by thehot steam that escapes.
8. Lift theegg holder out of thebase and cool theeggs by running them under cold water.
- The eggs are now ready to serve.
Cleaning and care
Cleaning
• Make sure that theplug is removed from thewall socket and that theegg boiler has
cooled down before cleaning it.
• Wipe theexterior of theegg boiler using adamp cloth. Use only mild cleaning
agents. Never use solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Wash thelid, egg rack and measuring cup by hand in hot water.
Note: Do not allow any electrical components to come into contact with water when cleaning.
Descaling
Water and egg shells both contain lime, which can build up in thebase of theegg
boiler if it is not descaled regularly. Mix 1 part vinegar (12 %) with 6 parts cold water.
Pour themixture into theboiling vessel and leave to stand for 30 minutes. Pour out
themixture and dry theegg boiler with asoft cloth.
Responsible disposal
This symbol indicates that theproduct should not be disposed of with general
household waste. This applies throughout theentire EU. To prevent any harm
to theenvironment or health hazards caused by incorrect waste disposal,
theproduct must be handed in for recycling so that thematerials can be
disposed of in aresponsible way. To recycle theproduct, take it to your local
recycling facility or contact theretailer. They will ensure that theproduct is
disposed of in away that does not harm theenvironment.
