MODEL
This unit is a 1035mm 6 or 9kW air curtain heater
designed for mounting above entrances but may a so be
used as a space heater. It is supp ied comp ete with
remote mounting contro box.
MOUNTING
When mounted over a standard shop doorway the unit
shou d be fitted as ow as possib e and not more than
2.3 meters from ground eve . A sing e unit wi provide
reasonab e coverage for a one metre doorway, and for
wider doorways units can be mounted end to end.
The unit shou d be positioned so that the airf ow is not
obstructed by any part of the doorframe. When insta ed
the top of the heater case shou d be a minimum of
200mm from the cei ing.

INSTALLATION
Carefu y unpack the unit and remove the top cover
fixing screws. The heater may be mounted using the
mounting bracket provided.
Loosen mounting screws, a owing the mounting bracket
to be removed from the unit. Making sure that the
mounting bracket is horizonta , fix the bracket to the
wa using 4 x No 8 wood screws.
P ace the unit on the mounting bracket ensuring the
washers are spaced as shown on Fig 2 (a p ain washer
either side of the mounting bracket).
Tighten screws to ho d the unit at the required ang e.

The heater may a so be mounted direct y onto a
suitab e wa or bearer by four No. 8 wood screws
through the ho es provided in the back of the unit
casing. Keyho e s ots are provided for the top two
fixings (fig 1).
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
The heater is suitab e for connection to a 400-415 vo t
3 phase 50Hz supp y. With modification the unit can
a so be on a 230-240 vo t 50Hz supp y. For 230-240 vo t
sing e phase operation, ink termina s L1, L2 and L3 on
the main input termina b ock and connect the supp y to
L. The heater consumes approximate y 6 or 9kW on the
fu heat setting. The connections to be made between
the heater and the remote contro box are shown in Fig
3 (see back page). An earth termina is adjacent to the
termina b ock and is c ear y marked with the symbo .
For safety reasons a good earth connection must
ALWAYS be made to the heater and contro box.
The unit must be wired in accordance with IEE
regu ations for the E ectrica Equipment of Bui dings and
the insta er shou d ensure that a suitab e fused
iso ating switch is connected in the mains supp y.
REMOTE CONTROL BOX CONNECTIONS
CONTROLS
The unit is designed to provide 2 eve s of heat, 4.5kW
and 9kW for HE7433, 3kW and 6kW for HE8326 together
with 2 fan speeds, norma and boost. The remote
contro box houses 4 sing e po e switches to give the
fo owing functions:
SWITCH 1 ( eft-hand) ON/OFF
SWITCH 2 FAN SPEED CONTROL
SWITCH 3 ½ HEAT ON/OFF
SWITCH 4 ½ HEAT ON/OFF

MAINTENANCE
ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE MAIN EXTERNAL ELECTRICITY
SUPPLY IS SWITCHED OFF BEFORE SERVICING OF THIS
SCREEN-ZONE HEATER.
To obtain the best resu ts from the heater it is essentia
to avoid the accumu ation of dust and dirt within the
unit and on the in et and discharge gri es. Regu ar
c eaning is necessary with particu ar attention to the
fronts and backs of the fan motor b ades. C eaning of
the fan is best carried out with a soft brush.
THERMAL CUT-OUT
The units are protected from overheating in the event of
fan failure or an obstruction of the free airflow, by thermal
cut outs. If this happens the thermal cut outs effectively
switch off the appliance. The appliance will not operate
until the thermal cut outs are manually re-set. This should
be done by a competent electrician.
TO REPLACE A SWITCH IN THE CONTROL BOX
a) Switch off the mains supp y
b) Remove the switch box cover.
c) Disconnect the wiring to the switch.
d) Re ease the spring c ips and push out the switch.
e) Fit the rep acement switch, reconnect the wiring and
rep ace the cover.
SPARES
It is essentia when ordering spares or rep acement parts
to state the mode number HE7433 and the seria
number on the rating p ace fixed to the top of the unit.
NB: DO NOT COVER ANY OF THE AIR INLET OR OUTLET
GRILLES AT ANY TIME.
