Read all instructions carefully before installing your new Cobra®product!
1. Remove any accessories that may prohibit the installation of your new freeway bar.
2. Position the freeway bar into place between the frame rails and front tire. Align the holes in the
freeway bar’s lower mounts with the rear holes on the frame mounting bosses. Insert the (2)
supplied 3/8”-16 x 1” buttonhead bolts thru freeway bar’s lower mounts and thread into the frame
mounting bosses. See Figure 1. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN.
3. (SELECT MODELS ONLY) If your motorcycle is equipped with forward footpegs you may reinstall
them using the supplied round spacers in conjunction with the stock allen bolts. See Figure 2. DO
NOT FULLY TIGHTEN.
4. Align the slotted hole in the frame brace with the freeway bar’s upper mount. Insert the supplied
5/16”-18 x 1” buttonhead bolt thru freeway bar’s upper mount, square spacer and into the frame
brace; secure on the backside with the supplied 5/16” flat washer and 5/16”-18 nylock nut. See
Figure 3.
5. Make sure freeway bar is aligned properly then fully tighten the 5/16-18” bolt and nut followed by the
3/8”-16 bolts.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
To clean your black freeway bars use a liquid based soap detergent, such as dishwashing soap applied with
a soft cloth and rinse with clean water. Note: Avoid abrasive cleaning methods such as granular or dry
cleansers, simple green, Scotch-Brite or steel wool pads. Abrasives may breach the coating and shorten life.
Cobra Freeway Bars add style to your motorcycle. They are not designed to withstand a serious
impact and may not protect you and/or your motorcycle in the event of a crash.
