Creating TheLCD Messages
Systemuserssendandreceivenon-verbalmessagesfordisplayon
LCDspeakerphones.Userssendthesemessagessothatcallerswill
knowtheirstatuswhentheycallandgetnoanswer.Ortheyuseames-
sagetorespondtoasecureoff-hookvoiceannouncement,LCDmes-
sagesareeitherthosethattheDXPsystemprovidesorthosethatyou
create.Thesystemprovidesfivemessages;youcanaddanadditional
25customizedmessages.Thismakesatotalof30messagesavailable
foruse.Youcanstorecustomizedmessagesinplaceofthedefaultmes-
sagesif youwish,thusincreasingthenumberofcustommessagesavail-
able.DistributealistoftheseLCDmessagestothesystemusersfor
theirreference.
TostemtheLCDmessages,proceedasfollows:
writeyourmessagesonthechartonpage71(eachmessagecan
haveupto 16characters),
usethelettercodetable(onpage70)toassignanumbertoeach
letter,
writethesenumbersonthechartlinebesidethemessageletters.
pressITCM,
dial4#0*12,
dialamessagelocationnumber(01-30).
dial#toclearcurrentmessage,
composeyourmessagesbydialingthetwo-digitcodesthatrelate
totheletters,
dial#tosavemessage,
dialnextlocationnumber,#toclearit, two-digitcodesforthe
message,and+#tosave,
repeatpreviousstepuntilallmessagesarcstored,
pressSPKRtoend.
Example:Createamessagethatwillmadas“TAKEMESSAGE”and
programitintomessagelocationnumber3.
