SGX3226
24+2 Gigabit SNMP Managed Switch with Aggregating Router
Compex Managed Switch Series SGX3226 is a 24-port 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet SNMP Managed
Switch designed with integrated router supporting Broadband Internet sharing. It comes with 2 expan-
sion slots pre-installed with 2 1000Base-T modules supporting Gigabit Ethernet over copper twisted
pair cable. It is a perfect high-performance backbone Switch for today’s corporate network.
GIGABIT SWITCHING
In addition to the 24 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet ports,
Compex SGX3226 comes with 2 Copper Gigabit ports
supporting 1000Mbps full/half duplex transmission on
Cat5, Cat5E or Cat6 twisted pair cable.
SNMP MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS
SGX3226 has been designed with SNMP management
capability, supporting 4 groups of RMONS, Ethernet
Statistic, History, Alarm and Event.
AGGREGATINGROUTER CAPABILITY
SGX3226 is uniquely designed with the capability to
support Broadband Internet sharing. Up to 4 ports may
be connected to external Cable/ADSL modems,
delivering combined aggregated bandwidth to the
Internet while providing fail-over redundant link.
PORT TRUNKING
Up to 4 ports may be defined for Port Trunking, deliver-
ing up to 800Mbps cascading bandwidth between two
Switches.
VIRTUAL LAN
SGX3226 supports two types of Virtual LAN, Port-
based VLAN and Tagged VLAN, improving the network
performance by reducing unnecessary broadcast
traffic.
MANAGEMENT INTERFACE
Integrated with an embedded HTTP server, the users
can easily connect to and manage the SGX3226 with
just a web browser. SGX3226 is also bundled with
FreedomViewPro SNMPmanagement software.
OPTIONAL MODULES
SGX3226 comes with 2 expansion slot supporting 3
types of optional modules, 1000Base-T Gigabit fiber
module, 1000Base-SX Gigabit fiber module, and
100Base-FX Fast Ethernet fiber module.

Compex SGX3226 may be used in the backbone with
ADSL broadband connection as the access to the
Internet, as shown in Figure 1. Virtual LAN may be
defined on SGX3226 to logically segmenting your LAN
into multiple broadcast domains with workgroup
classifications.
Optional modules may be installed on SGX3226 to
support inter-building connectivity using fiber optical
cables, as shown in Figure 2.
