AUTOWEIGHTOTALIZER
PREFACE
The Conair
AutoWeigh
Totalizer tracks the exact weight of material passing through the unit. The
Totalizer operates just like an
AutoWeigh
Gravimetric Blender, except it has a single-component
material hopper and no mixing chamber.
The instruction manual provided is our standard
AutoWeigh
Four-Component Software manual.
It is correct for the Totalizer, which uses the same software. But because the Totalizer has only
one component, you will be able to ignore all references to the mixing chamber, Regrind, Color
and Additive. You are concerned only with the Natural component.
Each thumbwheel switch on the Totalizer will always be set to zero. In this way, NATURAL is
weighed and dispensed as 100 % of the blend.
BASIC OPERATION
1.
Leave all thumbwheel switches on zero.
2.
Turn the unit on: POWER, PAUSE and STOP switches up.
As material is dispensed and weighed, totals will accumulate in the controller memory. You may
retrieve these totals at any time by:
A.
Using the VIEW key for direct read out on the display.
B.
Using a printer for a printed record.
C.
Using our MLAN software to port all information to a computer.
D.
Setting the unit to continuously display the total throughput.
HOW TO DISPLAY TOTAL THROUGHPUT CONTINUOUSLY
Only Totalizer models have a special flag that allows continuous display of throughput totals.
When this flag is set, the control panel display will show the total amount of material that has
passed through the unit since the total fields were last cleared. When the unit is functioning as a
Totalizer, this is the most meaningful information.
We may have already set this flag. If we did not, follow this sequence of keystrokes:
Press: *
Display will say:
Press: 22222

Press: EXIT
Display will say:
(PASSWORD)
(P

(BLENDER)
(TOTALIZER)
(P

(

Since Totalizers do not blend, this flag causes all settings to be set to zero whenever power is
turned on. To reset the totals to zero:
1. Stop operation by switching to “STOP END OF CYCLE”.
2. Switch to “IMMEDIATE PAUSE” to clear the totals.
