The Generation Series CVL Optical System.
Generations Series CVL is first and foremost a tr e IES
c toff l minaire providing the dark sky benefits and
light control that many comm nities now demand.
The Type III and Type V optical systems tilize spec lar
reflectors and a vertical lamp orientation to achieve the
optimal combination of low brightness and
efficiency.
THE AINTENANCE STANDARD
Ease of maintenance was a leading design
consideration for the Generation Series. Three (3)
heavy-d ty, sp n al min m tops are available with
removable caps to allow easy access to the lamp
witho t having to remove the globe. Access to the
NEMA style photocontol and starter is a simple twist
away via the Generation ho sing’s side entry door
assembly.
THE CONSTRUCTION STANDARD

s rvive the test of time. That is why the Generation
Series ses heavy-d ty cast and sp n al min m
materials to provide the rigid constr ction that ins res
years of se.
LA P ORIENTATION
The Generation Series tilizes a vertical lamp
position and locates the lamp in the l minaire
top to prevent any direct glare to pedestrians or
motorists. The vertical lamp orientation
allows for wider spacing and better niformity
over traditional horizontally lamped c toff
l minaires.
IES CLASSIFICATION
As a res lt of the Generation Series exceptionally
low brightness, vis al perception is enhanced as
contrast between the l minaire and s rro nding
objects is red ced. As an example, a collector road
with a medi m pedestrian conflict area can be designed to IESNA RP8 standards while still
spacing the l minaires 6 mo nting heights apart.
Combining this strong performance on the gro nd with it’s IES c toff classification makes the
Generation Series the ideal choice for the environmentally conscience.
