• Make sure your computer is turned on, and not in power saving mode
while the player is charging.
• Avoid using a USB hub.
To get the most out of your player, you should install the latest Creative
Media Lite software that offers:
•
CD ripping and music file transfer.
•Volume restriction
on your player for safe listening.
•Automatic updates for your player's software.
To install
1. Connect your player to your computer.
2. On your computer, open the Starter Pack folder in your player.
3. Double-click the .exe file and follow the setup instructions.
After installation, Creative Media Lite automatically starts
up.
Subsequently, to start Creative Media Lite:
•Connect your player to your computer,
or
•Double-click the Creative Media Lite cIJ icon on your desktop.
You can access the User's Guide for your player from the taskbar.
Click Start
~ All Programs ~ Creative ~ <Player Name>

Navigate the Menu
Your player's menu is organised as such:
Main Menu Press the Menu/Select button to display the main menu.
To exit the main menu, navigate to and select Cancel.
When you see this icon on the display, DO NOT disconnect your player.
Songs are being ripped or transferred.
Displays the options for selection.
Press and hold the Menu/Select button to display the option menu.
To exit the option menu, navigate to and select Cancel.

player by clicking the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the
Taskbar.

2. Press +or -to scroll to the Language you want, and press the
Menu/Select button to seLect.

1. Press the Menu/Select button and select Settings ~ Date &Time.
2. Press ~ or ~ to scroll to a time or date field.
3. Press + or -to change the value of the fieLd.
4. To confirm the changes, scroll to the Year fieLd and press the
Menu/Select button.

1. Press the Menu/Select button and seLect FM Radio.
2. Press and hold the Menu/Select button and select Autoscan.
3. Press + or -to scroll to Yes, and press the Menu/Select button to
start autoscan.

1. Press the Menu/Select button and select Settings ~ Speaker.
2. Press + or -to scroll to On or Off, and press the Menu/Select button to
turn on/off the speaker.
NOTE By default, the My Shortcut button is set to access speaker settings. Unless
otherwise changed, press the
My Shortcut button to quickly turn on/off the
speaker.
