INSTALLATIONINSTRUCTIONS:
The SV-9155 isareplacementRearViewMirror.It replacesyourfactorymirrorandaddsthe
convenienceofa4.2”LCD screen whichcan be used forareverseand anexternalDVD
source. TheReverseCameraInputwillautomaticallyswitchonwhen thevehicleisdropped into
reverse.The SV-9155 canbe hooked uptoanySecurView™orPlateCam™camera.

INSTALLATION
INSTALLATIONPRECAUTIONS:
1.Securethemirrortightlytothe windshieldsothatitcannotbecomelooseunderany
circumstances(Suddenbraking,accidents,etc)andcauseinjuriestotheoccupantsofthe
vehicle.
2.Donot install the mirrorinanareathat isincloseproximitywithanairbag, asthiscouldcause
injuryiftheairbagsaredeployed.
3.Makesuretoconnect themirrortothe correctvoltage.Failuretodo somayresultindamage
tothemirrororinjurytothevehicleoccupants
4.Donotsubmergethemirrorunderwater.Themirrorisnotwaterproofandthiswill damage
theelectricalcomponentsinsideofit.
5.The Mirrorhasbuilt-incircuitrytoreversetheimage soobjectsonthe rightofvehicleappear
on therightandobjectsontheleftappearon the left whenlooking atthemonitor.(See
ReverseImaginginnext sectionformoreinformation.)
6.Donotattempttotakeapart themirrorunderanycircumstances.
7.Donotoperatethemonitorifthemirrorhousing hasbeendamaged.
MIRRORMONITORINSTALLATION:
1.RemovetheOEMRearViewMirrorfromthevehicle.Usuallythe OEMmirrorshouldunscrew
fromamountingplateon the vehicle’swindshield.Donotuseexcessiveforcewhenremoving
thefactorymirror.
2.Somefactoryrearviewmirrorsmayhave“ReadingLamps”or“Map Lights”builtintothem.In
ordertoremovethistypeofmirror,therewill be awiringharness thatwill needtobe
unclippedbeforeyoucanproceedwiththeremovalofthemirroritself.Makesurethevehicle
ownerisawarethatthe SV-9155doesnothaveanylampsbuiltintoitand thattheywill be
losingthisaccessoryoncethefactorymirrorisremoved.
3.Oncethefactorymirrorisremoved,placetheSV-9155intothe positionofwherethefactory
mirrorwaslocatedforafestfit.
4.Adjusttheangleof theSV-9155 tothebestposition byrotating the ball-joint of theadjustable
mountingbracketontheback ofthemirror.
5.Removethescrewandsilverlugform thebaseoftheSV-9155 mountingbracket.
6.Slide SV-9155 MountingBracket overthefactorymountingplateonthewindshield.
7.Makesurethat themounting bracketfitsovertheentirewindshieldmountingplate.
8.Re-insertthe screwintothe mountingbracketandsecurethe mirrortightlyoverthe factory
mountingplate.
9.DONOToverturnthe mountingscrew.Thiswill causethescrew’sthreadstostripand may
alsodamagethe threadsinside themountingbracket itself.
10.Routethe electricalcableoftheSV-9155up thewindshieldandunderneaththeheadlinerof
thevehicle
NOTE: Theholesinthebackandthebottomoftheunitareprovidedforventilationtoprevent
overheatingoftheunitand toensurereliableoperationofthemonitorequipment. Theseholes
mustnotbe blocked withanykindofelectricaltapeorsilicon.Iftheventilationholesare
blocked,thiscouldcausedamagetothemonitor

WIRING:
1.Chooseaconvenientplacetorun the cableeitherdownthe left sideorrightside A-Pillarofthe
vehicle. (Theleft sideisusuallytheeasierside)
2.Removethetrimpanelfromthe A-Pillarandroutethecabledownthepillartothedashboard.
3.Inmostvehicles,therewill beawireharnessforthe domelightinsidethe A-Pillarofthe vehicle.
Useawiretieorelectricaltapetosecurethecabletothiswireharness.
4.Re-Install thetrimpanel.Makesurethatthecabledoesnotinterferewiththemounting clipsor
screwsofthetrimpanel.Thismaycausedamagetothecableand thetrimpanelandmaycause
thetrimpaneltonotfit back intopositionproperly.
5.ConnecttheREDwiretoa+12Vor+24VDC Ignition powerterminalwhichisenergizedwhenthe
keyisturned totheIgnitionor“On”position.
6.ConnecttheGREENtriggerwiretothe+12Vor+24VReverseLight wire.
7.ConnecttheBLACKwiretoasuitableGroundonthe vehicle.
8.Connectthe Grey(V1)connectortothevideooutputofthereversecamera.V1isthepriority
input andwill alwaysautoswitchwhenthevehicleisshiftedintoreverse.
9.ConnecttheGrey(V2)connectortothevideooutputofanyexternalvideodevice(DVD,VCR,
etc)

1. CAMSEL/ Thisbuttoncombinestwofunction. Press thisbuttontotogglebetween the
VIandV2Inputs.Pressandholdit for2secondstoturnoffthepowertothemonitor.Thiswill
putthemonitorinto“Standby”mode.Pressit againtoturnthepowerbackon.
2. MENU
•CONTRASTCONTROL:Toadjustthecontrastofthescreen,Pressthe “MENU”button
andthenselect CONTRASTonthescreen.Usethe + and–buttonstoincreaseor
decreasethe picturecontrast.
•BRIGHTNESS CONTROL: Toadjustthebrightness of thescreen,Pressthe“MENU”
buttonandselectBRIGHTNESSonthe screen. Usethe + and–buttonstoincreaseor
decreasethe brightness ofthemonitor.
•COLORCONTROL:Toadjustthecolorofthescreen, Press the“MENU”buttonand
selectCOLORonthescreen.Usethe+and –buttonstoincreaseordecreasethecolor
contrastofthescreen.
•NORMAL/ MIRRORIMAGE: Somereversecamerashavebuilt-incircuitryto“mirror”
theimagesoobjectsontheright of vehicleappearon therightandobjectsontheleft
appearonthe leftwhen looking atastandardmonitor. Ifyourcameradoesnothavethis
function, thenyou canchooseitintheSV-9155menu. Youcanset Normal/Mirrorimaging
forCAM1andCAM2separately.Toadjust,Pressthe“MENU”buttonandselectMIR1
OFF onthe screen. Press the + and–buttonstoset thescreen toMirrororNormal
Image onCAM1. You cansettheCAM2imagethesameway.
•PARKINGASSIST:Thiscanhelptheusertoproperlyjudgedistancewhenparking.
Press the“MENU”button,and chooseDASH(ON)on thescreen. Usethe+and–
buttonstoactivate.Theparkingassist lineonlyappearswhen thevehicleisinreverse. At
thistime, the dashcanbeadjustedhorizontallybypressing the+ or–buttons. Adjust the
line totheappropriateposition foryouractualparking condition.Oncethisisdone,the
settingwill belockedinmemory.

OPERATION&GENERALMAINTENANCE
OPERATION:
•WhentheIgnitionkeyisturnedtothe AccessoryorONposition,+12Vpowerissuppliedto
themirror. ThefrontLEDlightwill turnonsolidREDincolor.
NoImage will be displayedonthemonitor.Pressthe “CAMSEL/“buttontoactivatethe
videoinputs. Orsimplyshift thevehicleintoreversetoengagethereversecamera.
•Ifyourvehiclehasbeen parked indirectsun light, thiscanresultinaconsiderablerisein
temperatureinsidethe vehicle.Allowtheunit tocooloff beforeoperating
MAINTENANCE:
•Cleantheunit withaslightlydampsoft cloth. (MakesuretoturnPoweroff beforecleaning)
•Donotuseliquidcleanersoraerosolcleanerstoclean themirror.Neverusestrongsolvents
suchasthinnersorbenzene. Thesemaydamagethefinishof the unit.
•Neverpokeorpushanyobjectsofanykindthrough theventilationholesoftheunit.Objects
maytouchthe electroniccomponentsinsidetheunit causing it toshort-circuit and couldresult
inafireorelectricshock.
•Donot attempttoservicethisunitbyyourself. Openingorremovinganyoftheoutsidecovers
will exposeyoutoelectricalcomponentswhichmaycauseinjury.Openingofanyofthe
coverswill alsovoidthewarrantyofthemirror. Refertoanauthorized dealerforservicing.
