
INSTALLATION
INSTALLATIONPRECAUTIONS:
1.Securethemirrortightlytothe windshieldsothatitcannotbecomelooseunderany
circumstances(Suddenbraking,accidents,etc)andcauseinjuriestotheoccupantsofthe
vehicle.
2.Donot install the mirrorinanareathat isincloseproximitywithanairbag, asthiscouldcause
injuryiftheairbagsaredeployed.
3.Makesuretoconnect themirrortothe correctvoltage.Failuretodo somayresultindamage
tothemirrororinjurytothevehicleoccupants
4.Donotsubmergethemirrorunderwater.Themirrorisnotwaterproofandthiswill damage
theelectricalcomponentsinsideofit.
5.The Mirrorhasbuilt-incircuitrytoreversetheimage soobjectsonthe rightofvehicleappear
on therightandobjectsontheleftappearon the left whenlooking atthemonitor.(See
ReverseImaginginnext sectionformoreinformation.)
6.Donotattempttotakeapart themirrorunderanycircumstances.
7.Donotoperatethemonitorifthemirrorhousing hasbeendamaged.
MIRRORMONITORINSTALLATION:
1.RemovetheOEMRearViewMirrorfromthevehicle.Usuallythe OEMmirrorshouldunscrew
fromamountingplateon the vehicle’swindshield.Donotuseexcessiveforcewhenremoving
thefactorymirror.
2.Somefactoryrearviewmirrorsmayhave“ReadingLamps”or“Map Lights”builtintothem.In
ordertoremovethistypeofmirror,therewill be awiringharness thatwill needtobe
unclippedbeforeyoucanproceedwiththeremovalofthemirroritself.Makesurethevehicle
ownerisawarethatthe SV-9155doesnothaveanylampsbuiltintoitand thattheywill be
losingthisaccessoryoncethefactorymirrorisremoved.
3.Oncethefactorymirrorisremoved,placetheSV-9155intothe positionofwherethefactory
mirrorwaslocatedforafestfit.
4.Adjusttheangleof theSV-9155 tothebestposition byrotating the ball-joint of theadjustable
mountingbracketontheback ofthemirror.
5.Removethescrewandsilverlugform thebaseoftheSV-9155 mountingbracket.
6.Slide SV-9155 MountingBracket overthefactorymountingplateonthewindshield.
7.Makesurethat themounting bracketfitsovertheentirewindshieldmountingplate.
8.Re-insertthe screwintothe mountingbracketandsecurethe mirrortightlyoverthe factory
mountingplate.
9.DONOToverturnthe mountingscrew.Thiswill causethescrew’sthreadstostripand may
alsodamagethe threadsinside themountingbracket itself.
10.Routethe electricalcableoftheSV-9155up thewindshieldandunderneaththeheadlinerof
thevehicle
NOTE: Theholesinthebackandthebottomoftheunitareprovidedforventilationtoprevent
overheatingoftheunitand toensurereliableoperationofthemonitorequipment. Theseholes
mustnotbe blocked withanykindofelectricaltapeorsilicon.Iftheventilationholesare
blocked,thiscouldcausedamagetothemonitor
