Prima di rocedere al disassemblaggio delle arti e scaricare
l'olio, e
Áo ortuno eseguire un'accurata ulizia del onte,
as ortando incrostazioni ed accumuli di grasso.
PRE ESSA: Tutti gli organi meccanici smontati, devono
essere accuratamente uliti con rodotti a ro riati, quindi
ri ristinati o sostituiti nel caso resentino danni, usura,
incrinature, gri aggi, ecc. In articolare, verificare l'integrita

di tutte quelle arti in movimento (cuscinetti, ingranaggi, co ia
conica, alberi) e di tenuta (anelli OR, araolio), soggette a
maggiori sollecitazioni ed usura. E
Áconsigliabile, comunque, la
sostituzione degli organi di tenuta ogni qualvolta si roceda alla
revisione o ri arazione dei com onenti. Al momento del
montaggio, gli anelli di tenuta devono essere lubrificati sui
bordi di tenuta. Nel caso della co ia conica, la sostituzione di
uno dei suoi ingranaggi com orta anche la sostituzione
dell'altro. In fase di montaggio sono da ris ettare scru olosa-
mente i giochi, i recarichi e le co ie rescritte.

Bevor mit der Zerlegung der Teile begonnen und das O

abgelassen wird, muû die Achse sorgfa
Èltig gereinigt und
Verkrustungen und Fettablagen abgetragen werden.
VORAUSSETZUNG: Alle abmontierten mechanischen Teile

Èssen sorgfa
Èltig mit geeigneten Reinigungsmitteln gereinigt
oder, wenn bescha
Èdigt, verschleiût, gerissen, festgefressen
usw. ausgewechselt werden. Insbesondere muû der einwand-
freie Zustand aller beweglichen Teile (Lager, Zahnra
Èder,
Kegelrad aare, Wellen) und der Dichtungen (O-Ringe, O
Èlab-
dichtungen), die am meisten beans rucht werden und ver-
schleiûen, kontrolliert werden. Wir em fehlen auf jeden Fall die
Abdichtungselemente immer auszuwechseln, wenn eine U
Èber-
holung oder eine Re aratur der Teile vorgenommen wird. Bei

The efficiency and continued o eration of mechan-
ical units de end on constant, correct maintenance
and also on efficient re air work, should there be a
break-down or malfunction. The instructions contained in this
manual have been based on a com lete overhaul of the unit.
However, it is u to the mechanic to decide whether or not it is
necessary to assemble only individual com onents, when
artial re air work is needed. The manual rovides a quick
and sure guide which, with the use of hotogra hs and
diagrams illustrating the various hases of the o erations,
allows accurate work to be erformed.
All the information needed for correct disassembly, checks and
assembly of each individual com onent is set out below. In
order to remove the differential unit from the vehicle, the
manuals rovided by the vehicle manufacturer should be
consulted. In describing the following o erations it is resumed
that the unit has already been removed from the vehicle.
I PORTANT: In order to facilitate work and rotect both
working surfaces and o erators, it is advisable to use ro er
equi ment such as: trestles or su orting benches, lastic or
co er hammers, a ro riate levers, ullers and s ecific
s anners or wrenches.
Before going on to disassemble the arts and drain the oil, it is
best to thoroughly clean the unit, removing any encrusted or
accumulated grease.
INTRODUCTORY RE ARKS: All the disassembled mechan-
ical units should be thoroughly cleaned with a ro riate
roducts and restored or re laced if damage, wear, cracking or
seizing have occurred.
In articular, thoroughly check the condition of all moving arts
(bearings, gears, crown wheel and inion, shafts) and sealing
arts (O-rings, oil shields) which are subject to major stress and
wear. In any case, it is advisable to re lace the seals every time
a com onent is overhauled or re aired. During assembly, the
sealing rings must be lubricated on the sealing edge. In the
case of the crown wheel and inion, re lacement of one
com onent requires the re lacement of the other one. During
assembly, the rescribed re-loading, backlash and torque of
arts must be maintained.
CLASSIFICATION: This manual classifies units according to
art numbers. For a correct inter retation, classification is
indicated as follows:
