Installationsvejledning
Placér apparatet i rummet, der skal affugtes. Det er vigtigt, at der er et frit område omkring affugteren på
min. 50 cm for at hindre blokering af luftcirkulationen.
Det kondenserede vand kan bortledes på to forskellige måder:
A) Afløb til vandbeholder
Detkondenseredevandkan føres direktenedivandbeholderen, som erplaceretindei apparatet (fig.1).
Det er nemt at tage vandbeholderen ud og tømme den. Vandbeholderen har en ergonomisk udformning
og er forsynet med et håndtag, der gør det nemt at transportere og tømme vandbeholderen.
B) Permanent udvendigt afløb
Såfremt apparatet skal anvendes i en længere periode, hvor der ikke er mulighed for at tømme
vandbeholderen regelmæssigt, kan der anvendes et permanent afløb.
Det er nemt at indstille vandbeholderen til det permanente afløb.
1) Fjern gummiproppen fra vandbeholderens tud.
2) Bor et hul i tuden ved hjælp af en syl med tynd spids. Fig. 2.
3) Fastgør gummislangen til tuden.
4) Pålågenindtilvandbeholderenerderudstansetethultilslangen(fig.3).Indenslangenføresgennem
dette hul, er det nødvendigt at fjerne hullets centrale del. Kontrollér, at slangen er anbragt plant.
Såfremt dette er tilfældet, forbliver vandet i vandbeholderen.
N.B.: Gem gummiproppen. Den kan anvendes til lukning af slangen, og kan sættes i tuden, når afløbet
på ny skal finde sted til vandbeholder. (Se punkt A).
Denne affugter er forsynet med en avanceret specialanordning, som kontrollerer, at apparatet fungerer
korrekt.
Der er placeret en kontrollampe på kontrolpanelet. Denne kontrollampe tændes og meddeler brugeren om
følgende:
1. Vandbeholderen er fyldt ➛vider le réservoir;
2. Vandbeholderen er ikke anbragt ➛remettre le réservoir en place;
3. Vandbeholderen er ikke anbragt korrekt ➛positionner correctement le réservoir;
4. Detpermanente udvendige afløbanvendes: Slangen ertilstoppet, eller slangen er ikkeanbragt plant ➛
Fjern tilstopningen i slangen.
Når problemet er afhjulpet, slukkes kontrollampe og apparatet aktiveres på ny.

Elektrisk tilslutning
Før affugteren tilsluttes strømforsyningen, skal følgende kontrolleres:
•Strømforsyningen skal svare til den spænding, der er anført på aggregatets mærkeplade.
•Stikkontakt og elektrisk strømkreds skal være egnet til at forsyne aggregatet.
•Stikkontakten skal passe til stikket. Hvis dette ikke er tilfælde, skal stikket udskiftes af en fagmand.
•Stikket skal være forsynet med jordforbindelse.
Fabrikanten påtager sig intet ansvar, hvis disse sikkerhedsforskrifter ikke er overholdt.

Beskrivelse af betjeningspanelet
Betjeningspanelet angiver forskellige eksempler:
Betjening af affugteren
1) Sæt stikket i stikkontakten. Kontrollampen lyser og indikerer at aggregatet er tilsluttet.
2) Aktiver ON/OFF knap (Alene mod. CD400 ECO)
3) Kontroller at kontrollampen “Vandbeholder fuld”/”Ingen vandbeholder” er slukket.
4) Drej hygrostatknappen til “CONTINUOUS” for konstant drift.
5) For at slukke aggregatet, drejes hygrostatknappen mod uret til “OFF” stilling.
Bemærk:
Af tekniske årsager er fugtigheden udtrykt i niveauer fremfor i procenter.
Vi anbefaler at hygrostatknappen er indstillet på “CONTINUOUS” ved opstart. Når fugtigheden er på det
ønskede niveau, drejes hygrostatknappen langsomt mod uret indtil aggregatet afbryder. Herved
programmeres affugteren til at opretholde netop det ønskede niveau.
Når affugteren er i drift, vil det udover at affugte også opvarme luften med en ydelse på 460 W.

Vedligeholdelse
Stikketskaltrækkesud,førmangårigangmedrengøringogvedligeholdelse.Afsikkerhedsmæssigeårsager
må man aldrig bruge en vandstråle til rengøring af aggregatet.
Rengøring af kabinettet
• Aggregatet rengøres med en fugtig klud og tørres af med en tør klud.
•Brug aldrig bensin, denatureret sprit eller opløsningsmidler til rengøringen.
•Sprøjt aldrig insektdræbende midler el. lign. på aggregatet. Det kan forårsage afskalning af lakken, og
plastikdele risikerer at blive deformerede.
Rengøring af luftfilteret
•Filteret skal rengøres en gang om ugen
•Lågen ind til vandbeholderen åbnes og filteret trækkes ned og ud
(fig. 4)
•Filteret støvsuges. Hvis det er meget snavset, kan det vaskes i varmt
vand og derefter skylles flere gange. Vandet må max. være 40˚C
varmt. Filteret skal være fuldstændig tørt, inden det sættes på plads
igen.

•Rengør filteret og sæt det på plads igen.
•Beskyt aggregatet mod støv ved at trække en hætte af plastik over. Fig. 4
Vigtigt
•Dette aggregat er beregnet til affugtning i boliger og må ikke bruges til andet formål.
•Aggregatet må under ingen omstændigheder ændres, idet ændringer af enhver art kan udgøre en
fare.
•Eventuellereparationerskalforetagesafetafforhandlerengodkendtserviceværksted.Forlangaltid
originale reservedele. Reparationer der udføres af ukyndige kan være farlige og gør garantien
ugyldig.
•Aggregatet må kun betjenes af voksne. Lad ikke børn lege med det.
•Aggregatet skal være forsynet med jordforbindelse. Få det elektriske kredsløb kontrolleret af en el-
installatør.
• Elektrisk tilslutning skal foretages i henhold til gældende lovgivning.
•Træk altid stikket ud før rengøring og anden vedligeholdelse.
•Flyt ikke aggregatet ved at trække i kablet.
•Aggregatet må ikke opstilles i rum med gas, olie eller svovlholdig luft. Aggregatet må ikke opstilles
i nærheden af en varmekilde.
•Vent mindst 3 minutter med at starte aggregatet igen, efter at det har været slukket.
•Stil ikke tunge eller varme ting oven på aggregatet.
•Filteret skal renses mindst en gang om ugen.
•Aggregatet skal stå op eller ligge på siden under transport. Husk at tømme vandbeholderen før
transport.
Vent mindst en time inden aggregatet sættes i drift efter transport.

• Aggregatet må ikke tildækkes, når det ikke er i brug

A)If your appliance comes fitted with a plug, it will incorporate a 13 Amp fuse. If it does not fit your socket, the plug should be cut off from
the mains lead, and an appropriate plug fitted, as below.
WARNING: Very carefully dispose of the cut off plug after removing the fuse: do not insert in a 13 Amp socket elsewhere in the house as
this could cause a shock hazard.
With alternative plugs not incorporating a fuse, the circuit must be protected by a 15 Amp fuse.

In the event of losing the fuse cover, the plug must NOT be based until a replacement fuse cover can be obtained from your nearest
electrical dealer. The colour of the correct replacement fuse cover is that as marked on the base of the plug.
B)If your appliance is not fitted with a plug, please follow the instructions provided below:
Read this instruction booklet carefully before installing and using the
appliance. In this way, you will obtain the best possible results and
maximum operating safety.
Presentation
The CD 400 Dehumidifier removes humidity from the air in the areas in which it is installed. The appliance is
compact and fitted with wheels and handles which facilitate its movement.
This appliance is recommended for all rooms in which excessive humidity is liable to build up, e.g. kitchens,
bathrooms, laundry rooms, cellars etc.

As the colours of the wires in the mains lead may not
correspond with the coloured markings identifying the

Installation
Place the appliance in the room that you wish to dehumidify.
It is essential to leave a space of at least 50 cm. around the appliance in order to ensure adequate ventilation.
The condensation can be discharged in one of two ways:
A) Discharge into the canister
The condensation generated by the dehumidifier can be discharged directly into the canister which is
located inside the appliance (fig. 1).
Thecanisteriseasytoextractwhenitneedstobeemptied.Ithasanergonomicformandisequippedwith
a handle which makes it easy to carry and to empty.

B) External discharge
The condensation can be continually drained out of the canister by fitting a drain outlet pipe and hose to
the canister.
1) Drill a hole in the area marked on the union so that the condensation water in the canister can drain
out.
2) Fit the seal ring, outlet pipe and the ring nut to canister union (see fig. 2).
3) Place the canister inside the appliance.
4) The housing door features a pre-marked hole for the condensation drain hose (fig. 3). Remove the
centre disk and pass the hose through the hole.
N.B. Ifyou want to go back to collecting the condensation in thecanister, remove the outlet pipe, fit the
blanking seal and fix it in place using the ring nut.

Canister Control System
This dehumidifier is equipped with a special intelligent device which checks that it is working properly.
A warning lamp placed on the control panel comes on to warn the user when:
1. the canister is full ➛empty the canister
2. the canister is missing ➛put the canister back into position
3. the canister is badly positioned ➛position it correctly
4. you are using the continuous discharge and there is a blockage in the hose or the hose goes “uphill” ➛
remove the blockage.
Once the cause has been removed, the warning lamp goes off and the appliance starts working again.

Electrical connections
Before connecting the appliance to the power supply, check the following:
•The mains power supply must correspond to the power supply shown on the rating plate.
•The power socket and the electrical circuit must be adequate to supply the appliance.
• The power socket must match the plug. If not, have the plug replaced by qualified personnel.
•The power socket must be adequately earthed.
The manufacturer accepts no responsibility if these safety regulations are not complied with.

Description of the controls
Using the dehumidifier
1) Plug the appliance into the power socket. The pilot lamp lights to show that the appliance is switched on.
2) Push the ON/OFF switch (mod. CD 400 ECO only)
3) Check that the "Canister Full/No Canister" pilot lamp is off.
4) Turn the humidostat knob to "CONTINUOUS" for continuous operation.
5) To switch off the appliance, turn the humidostat knob anti-clockwise to the "OFF" position.
Note:
For technical reasons, the humidity is expressed in levels rather than in degrees.
We recommend starting with the humidostat knob set to "CONTINUOUS". When the humidity in the room
reachesthedesiredlevel, turn theknobslowlyanti-clockwise until the applianceswitchesoff. In this way,
the appliance is programmed to maintain the exact humidity level that you desire.

Maintenance
Always remove the plug from the power socket before performing any cleaning or maintenance operations.
For safety, never use a jet of water to wash the appliance.
Cleaning the cabinet
•Clean the appliance using a damp cloth and dry using a dry cloth.
•Never use petrol, methylated spirits or solvents to clean the appliance.
•Never spray the appliance with insecticides or similar products. These may cause the paint to flake or the
pastic parts to become mis-shapen.
Cleaning the air filter
•The filter should be cleaned weekly.
•To remove the filter, open the canister access panel, remove the
canister and remove the filter by pulling downwards (fig. 4).
•Useavacuumcleanertoremovethedustthatbuildsuponthefilter.
Ifthefilterisverydirty,washitinwarmwaterandrinseseveraltimes.
The temperature of the water should not exceed 40°C.
After washing the filter, allow it to dry completely before replacing
it in the appliance.
If the appliance is not used for long periods
•Disconnecttheplugfromthepowersocketandemptythecanister.
•Clean and replace the filter.
•Protect the appliance from dust by covering with a large plastic
bag. Fig. 4
Important
•This appliance is designed to dehumidify domestic living areas, and must not be used for other
purposes.
•Theappliancemustnotbemodifiedinanyway,asany modifications may be extremely dangerous.
•If the appliance requires repair, always contact a Service Centre authorized by the manufacturer.
Always insist on original spare parts. Repairs carried out by non-qualified personnel may be
dangerous and render the warranty null and void.
•This appliance must be used by adults only. Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
•The appliance must be adequately earthed. Have your electrical circuit checked by a qualified
electrician.
•Do not use extension power cables.
•Always remove the plug from the socket before performing cleaning or maintenance operations.
•Do not move the appliance by pulling the power cable.
•Do not install the appliance in areas containing gas, oil or sulphur. Do not install the appliance near
sources of heat.
• After switching off the appliance, always wait at least three minutes before switching it on again.
•Do not place heavy or hot objects on the top of the appliance.
•Clean the air filter at least once weekly.
•The appliance must always remain upright or laid on one side during transportation. Remember to
drain the canister before transporting the appliance.
After transporting the appliance, wait at least one hour before using it.

Troubleshooting
Before calling your local authorized Service Centre, check the following:
