1. Overview
1.1 Scope of Application
JSS48□series time relay is suitable for AC 50/60Hz control circuit with the voltage 380V and below and with the
DC volage 240 and below as a delay element, and is used to connect or disconnect the circuit at a predetermined
time for automatic control.

1.3 Normal Working Conditions and Installation Conditions
1.3.1 Working environment: the altitude does not exceed 2000 meters; the ambient temperature is not higher than
+40°C and not below -5°C; the voltage variation range of the rated control power supply is 85%-110% of the
rated voltage; Installed in places where there is no harsh vibration and explosive medium or the medium does not
contain gas or conductive dust that causes metal corrosion or damage to the insulation free from the rain or snow
erosion.

This time relay consists of a housing, a setting panel, an electronic circuit board and ab upper plug. It adopts
special programmable digital integrated circuit, LED light-emitting nixie tube display, digital key switch preset,
and it has the advantages of stable and reliable operation, high precision, wide delay range, low power
consumption, artistic appearance, and convenient installation and operation.

3.15 Cooperation with the short circuit protective device (SCPD): The RT16-00, 6A fuse with “1” type basic
protection is recommended as SCPD; that is, the relay shall not cause danger to the persons or equipment in case
of short circuit, and it is not allowed to work continuously before the repair or replacement of parts. If the fuse
protective device of the different model is selected, the original cooperation may fail.

5 Installation and Operation Instructions
5.1 Please install the product according to the size of the hole and the size of the mounting hole.
5.1.1 Connect the wire properly, and align with the pins when installing plugs and sockets to prevent short circuit
of power supply resulting in accidents.
5.1.2 Check that the power supply voltage must be consistent with the rated control power supply voltage of the
product, and then preset the required delay time, and then turn on the power, (power-on delay mode) at this time
the relay starts to work, when the preset time expires, the delay contact is converted to realize timing control. In
the JSS48A-S cycle delay mode, first set the T1 (set through the red dial disc on the right) and T2 (set through the
black dial disc on the left) time period and time; after power-on, T1 starts to delay; two nixie tubes on the right
display the T1 time, and the relay does not work; when the T1 reaches the set value, the relay will pull in and
two-digit nixie tube is blanking; T2 starts to delay, and two-digit nixie tube on the left will display; when the T2
reaches the set value, the relay will release while the nixie tube is blanking, so that the T1 starts to delay again,
and the cycle delay starts.

5.2 The operating volage of the relay shall be within the rated operating voltage range.
5.3 When the load power is greater than the rated value of the relay, an intermediate relay is provided.
5.4 Operation of reset terminals
When the reset terminal is connected at any time after startup delay, the time relay will reset; when the reset
terminal is disconnected, the time relay starts timing from zero. To prevent interference from other electrical
appliances, the reset line uses a shielded wire.
5.5 The equipment that may cause major economic losses or personal safety is designed to make the technical
characteristics and performance values have sufficient allowance, and safety measures such as double circuit
protection should be adopted.
5.6 It is strictly forbidden to install or disassemble the energized product.

6 Common Faults and Troubleshooting
6.1 Not work after startup (no display on the LED screen)
The power terminal is not wired and the wiring is improperly connected or disconnected, and the power supply is
not connected.
6.2 The relay does not delay after power-on
Check the reset (zero clear) terminal is short circuited.
6.3 The relay is not converted when the delay time expires
Check whether the relay is wired improperly, whether the power voltage is too low, whether the relay contact has
poor contact, and whether the relay is damage.
6.4 Product burnt
Check whether the power supply exceeds the rated power supply voltage of the product and whether the power
cord is connected wrongly.
6.5 Troubleshooting:
In case of failure of product, first cut off the power, and then find the cause of the failure; operate the product
according to the Installation and Operation Instructions after checking that the line works normally.
If the product has the poor quality problem, please contact the local dealer or our company.
7. Transport and Storage
The product shall be free from the rain or snow erosion or squeezing during storage and transportation, and shall
be stored in well ventilated places where the relative humidity (25℃±5℃) does not exceed 90%, the lower limit
of the temperature is -25℃, and the upper limit of the temperature is +55℃.
8. Unpacking and Inspection
Open the outer carton and check that there is the Operation Instruction in the packing box.
