Adjustable DPI (Dots Per Inch)
Press the DPI adjustment button to instantly change the mouse tracking resolution. DPI setting is indicated by the DPI indicator
color. The DPI settings available are as follows:
- 800: Blue ()
- 1800: Green () (default)
- 3500: Yellow ()
- 9000: Orange ()
- 16000: Red ()

Scrolling Speed
Push the wheel notch slider up to set the scrolling speed to 12 or down to set the speed to 24.
Note: You can change the default DPI settings and customize the DPI stages and LED colors with the Alienware Command
Center (AWCC) application.

Setting up your gaming mouse
Unpacking your gaming mouse
1. Place the mouse on the surface with the scrolling speed slider switch facing up.

2. Remove the protective sheet.

3. Push the USB dongle inside to release it from the slot.

Connecting the mouse in Wireless mode
Portable device:
1. Connect the USB dongle to the USB 2.0 port on your portable device.

Desktop:
1. Connect the micro USB end of the USB extension cable to the adapter.
2. Connect the other end of the USB extension cable to an available port on your desktop.
3. Insert the USB dongle to the adapter.

Connecting the mouse in Wired mode
1. Insert the USB dongle into the USB slot to lock it.

2. Connect the micro USB end of the USB extension cable to the USB port on the mouse.
3. Connect the other end of the USB extension cable to an available USB 2.0 port on your desktop or portable device.

Turning on the mouse
Slide the power slider towards the USB dongle slot to turn on the mouse.

Charging the battery
Your gaming mouse has an embedded rechargeable battery.
For best results, ensure that the battery is fully charged for the first time usage.
Note: The battery starts charging automatically in wired mode.

1. Connect one end of the USB extension cable to the micro USB port on the mouse.

2. Connect the other end of the USB extension cable to the USB 2.0 port on your desktop or portable device.

3. Wait until the battery indicator turns solid green. Solid green color indicates that the battery is fully charged.
Battery indicator colors
Low power: Flashing amber ()
Charging: Morphing between amber () and green ().
Fully charged: Solid green () (default)

Installing the Alienware Command Center (AWCC) and Alienware Gaming Peripheral Driver
To control the features and options you will need the Alienware Command Center (AWCC) and Alienware Gaming Peripheral driver.
You can get the latest versions directly from the Dell Support Site. For more information, refer to the steps below.
1. Make sure the computer is connected to the internet.
2. Browse to the AW610M Gaming RGB Mouse Online Driver Page.
3. Select the Operating System installed on your computer using the drop down menu under Operating system:.
4. Touch or click Download to the right of Alienware Command Center (do not close the browser window).
5. Depending on your browser, you will get different options. The following steps are based on using the Chrome browser.
Note:
AWCC requires Windows 10 version 16299 or later.
It is recommended that you update Windows and the drivers for your computer before installing the Alienware Command
Center. For more information refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base article Windows Update: FAQ and Dell Knowledge Base
article Drivers and Downloads FAQs.
When your computer is preinstalled with AWCC 5.2.45.0 or later, you will still need to install the Alienware Gaming
Peripheral driver (refer to the following steps), after that you can configure your Alienware 610M Gaming Mouse. For
more information refer to Dell Knowledge Base article Alienware Command Center Quick Guide.
When your computer is not preinstalled with 5.2.45.0 or later, perform the following steps to install the latest AWCC and
Alienware Gaming Peripheral driver. AWCC 5.2.42 or later can co-exist with older versions of AWCC on the same
computer, so you can continue to use the older version to configure your computer.
Note: When your computer is preinstalled with AWCC 5.2.45.0 or later, you can skip to Step 9.

. Once the Alienware Command Center is downloaded, touch or click the file listed at the bottom of the screen to start the
installation process, and follow the prompts.
7. On the InstallShield Wizard Complete window, touch or click Finish.
. Wait for the Dell Update Package window to appear, and then touch or click Close.
9. Touch or click Download to the right of Alienware Gaming Peripheral driver.
10. Once the Alienware 610M Gaming Mouse Driver is downloaded, touch or click the file listed at the bottom of the screen to start the
installation process, and follow the prompts.
11. After the driver is installed, make sure the AW610M Gaming RGB Mouse is attached to the computer.
12. Make sure the AW610M Gaming RGB Mouse is turned on.
13. Launch the Alienware Command Center.

Installing and Using the AW610M Pairing Tool
You may experience a situation where when you use your mouse, the cursor does not move, this may be due to the pairing between
the mouse and USB wireless dongle have become un-coupled.
Follow the instructions to perform troubleshooting steps, and how to install and use the AW610M Pairing Tool, when needed.
1. Make sure mouse is turned on.
2. Make sure the USB wireless dongle is connected to the notebook or desktop.
3. When that does not resolve the issue, restart the computer. Save any data, close any open program(s), and then restart the
notebook or desktop. When you do not have another mouse or touchscreen, you may have to hold the power button down for at
least 15 seconds to turn the notebook or desktop off. You may lose any data that is not saved.
4. When the cursor still does not move, browse to the AW610M Gaming RGB Mouse Online Driver Page.
5. Select the Operating System installed on your computer using the drop down menu under Operating system:.
. Touch or click Download to the right of AW610M Pairing Tool.
7. Depending on your browser, you will get different options. The following steps are based on using the Chrome browser.
. Once the AW610M Pairing Tool is downloaded, touch or click the file listed at the bottom of the screen, the AW610M Pairing Tool
will run, and follow the steps.
9. Turn the mouse off and the back on, then wait 10 seconds to see if if the cursor moves.

Troubleshooting
PROBLEMS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Note: The Alienware Command Center may take a while to start, as it may be downloading additional software or starting
the command center service.
Note: When the cursor still does not move, restart the computer. Make sure to save any data, close any open program(s),
and then restart the notebook or desktop. When you do not have another mouse or touchscreen, you may have to hold
the power button down for at least 15 seconds to turn the portable device/desktop off. You may lose any data that is not
saved.

PROBLEMS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Mouse is not functioning. Connect the USB extension cable to another USB port. A notification
appears indicating that drivers are being installed. If so, wait until a
notification to appear indicating that the drivers are installed before you
use the mouse.
Restart the computer.
Mouse lighting is off. Press any button to wake up the mouse from sleep mode.
Connect the USB extension cable or USB wireless dongle to another
USB port. A notification appears indicating that the drivers are being
installed. If so, wait until a notification to appear indicating that the
drivers are installed before you use the mouse.
Restart the computer.
Mouse is not running based on the selected configuration in Alien
Command Center.
Ensure that the Alienware Command Center is installed on your
computer.
Open the Alienware Command Center and ensure that the selected
configuration is setup and saved.
Resolving cursor issues. Connect the USB extension cable or USB wireless dongle to another
USB port. A notification appears indicating that the drivers are being
installed. If so, wait until a notification to appear indicating that the
drivers are installed before you use the mouse.
Ensure that the optical opening at the bottom of the mouse is clean.
Ensure that the surface you are using has enough of a pattern in it that
the mouse can indicate when it is moved. Use a mouse pad so that the
mouse can indicate the movement by reflections. A uniform surface is
harder for the mouse to indicate when it is being moved.
Save any data, close any open program(s), and then restart the
notebook or desktop. When you do not have another mouse or
touchscreen, you may have to hold the power button down for at least
15 seconds to turn the notebook or desktop off. You may lose any data
that is not saved.
Follow the instruction in the Installing and Using the AW610M Pairing
Tool section, starting with Step 4.
Resolving mouse button issues. Ensure that there is nothing preventing the mouse buttons from moving.
Most mouse buttons make a clicking noise when pressed down.
Connect the USB extension cable or USB wireless dongle to another
USB port. A notification appears indicating that the drivers are being
installed. If so, wait until a notification to appear indicating that the
drivers are installed before you use the mouse.
Save any data, close any open program(s), and then restart the
notebook or desktop. When you do not have another mouse or
touchscreen, you may have to hold the power button down for at least
15 seconds to turn the notebook or desktop off. You may lose any data
that is not saved.
Troubleshooting a slow moving cursor. Ensure that the optical opening at the bottom of the mouse is clean.

PROBLEMS POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Ensure that the surface you are using has enough of a pattern in it that
the mouse can indicate when it is moved. Use a mouse pad so that the
mouse can indicate the movement by reflections. A uniform surface is
harder for the mouse to indicate when it is being moved.
Change the mouse settings to adjust the pointer speed.
1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
2. Click or tap main.cpl in the list of programs.
3. Click or tap the Pointer Options tab.
4. Move the slider under Select a Pointer Speed to adjust the cursor
speed to the desired level.
5. Click or tap OK.
Troubleshooting cursor lagging. Cursor lagging might be due to wireless interference between the
mouse and the USB wireless dongle. Use the USB wireless extension
adapter to connect the USB wireless dongle to the notebook or desktop.
Troubleshooting lift off distance (LOD) surface calibration issues. The LOD surface calibration depends on the surface characteristics and
may not work on all surfaces.
Using a dark colored fabric mouse pad might improve LOD calibration.
Mouse Usage and Troubleshooting Guide
Provides basic troubleshooting steps for issues such as: cursor movement not smooth or does not move at all, scroll wheel has
erratic movement, and keyboard and mouse not working after a restart.
