Warnings (keep in a safe place) en
GAS LEAKS CAN BE DETECTED BY THE SMELL
The stove must ALWAYS be used according to the instruc-
tions provided with every appliance.
Keep the instructions in a safe place.
DO NOT move the appliance from one room to another
when lit. Knocks or jolts could activate the safety device.
DO NOT position the stove against a wall or near curtains,
etc. ALWAYS position the appliance facing towards the
centre of the room. Pay particular attention when the sto-
ve is standing on surfaces on which it could move easily if
knocked by children, dogs, etc.
DO NOT position the stove near armchairs or fabrics.
DO NOT place clothes or other fabrics on the stove. A re risk
may be run and could jeopardise correct operation of the
appliance.
If you suspect there may be a gas leak, close the gas valve on
the cylinder. DO NOT disconnect the pressure regulator.
To close the gas shut-o the valve on top of the cylinder.
Check all connections. Open the gas slowly and apply soapy
water or liquid detergent to all the ttings. Bubbles will form
if there is a gas leak. If you nd a leak, shut o the gas and
contact a qualied technician. DO NOT use the stove again
until it has been thoroughly inspected by a qualied tech-
nician.

INTRODUCTION
Thank you for choosing a De’Longhi product. Please take a
few minutes to read these instructions.This will avoid all risks
and damage to the appliance.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
- This appliance requires a rubber hose with pressure re-
gulator with an output pressure of 28-30 mbar. If not
provided with the appliance, contact your local gas sup-
ply company or authorised dealer.
- The appliance exhausts combustion products into the
room where it is used.
The appliance has to be used therefore only be used in
well ventilated rooms with two permanent openings
communicating with the outside, each with a minimum
diameter of 12 cm (or in any case no smaller than 105
cm2, in compliance with the relevant local regulations).
The openings must be protected by grilles and located
one near the oor and the other near the ceiling.
- The appliance MUST NOT be used in top oor ats, ba-
sements, bathrooms, bedrooms or any other room with
a volume of less than 42m3(24m3in the case of sitting
rooms).
- Make sure the appliance is installed in compliance with
current regulations.
- Do not install the appliance in rooms which might con-
tain gas, petrol or sulphur. Do not install near sources of
heat.
- Do not use on vehicles such as caravans or camper vans.
- The appliance is not intended for use by persons (inclu-
ding children) with reduced physical, sensory or men-
tal capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
Childrenshould besupervisedto ensurethatthey donot
play with the appliance.
- Respect the following safety distances from the walls:
20 cm from the sides, 150 cm from the front.
- DO NOT USETHE STOVE AT HIGH ALTITUDES.
- USETHE APPLIANCE ON A FLAT FLOOR ONLY.
- DO NOT REPLACETHE GAS CYLINDER INTHE PRESENCE OF
NAKED FLAMES.
- NEVER USE MATCHES OR NAKED FLAMES TO LOCATE A
GAS LEAK.
- The grille is designed to prevent the risk of re or burns.
None of its components should be permanently remo-
ved. The grille does not guarantee total protection for
children or disabled people.
- Make sure the rear panel protecting the gas cylinder is
correctly in place before lighting the stove. Do not use
the stove without the rear panel.
- The stove must not be used unless the gas cylinder is
correctly positioned in the gas cylinder compartment.

These appliances are designed to operate with butane/propane gas at a nominal pressure of 28 - 30 mbar. An air ow of 8.4
m3/h is required for correct gas combustion.
INSTALLATION
Hose pressure regulators and clips
MAKE SURE the rubber hose ts perfectly on the hose connec-
tor and is held rmly in place by the hose clips (see g. A).
Check the expiry date and condition of the rubber hose re-
gularly. If damaged or expired, replace with a new 400 mm
hose in compliance with current regulations.
Make sure the hose is correctly inserted in the support (see
g. B).
When connecting the pressure regulator to the gas cylinder,
make sure the hose is free from bends, twists or constric-
tions.
Use 28-30 mbar pressure regulators in compliance with cur-
rent regulations only.
To connect the regulator to the gas cylinder, see the specic
instructions for the pressure regulator.
Installing/replacing the gas cylinder
A cylinder with a maximum capacity of 15 kg can be installed
(maximum diameter 310 mm, maximum height 650 mm).
The cylinder MUST NOT be replaced in the presence of naked
ames. Always use the gas cylinder in a vertical position
only.
To replace it, close the gas shut-o valve on top of the cylin-
der, remove the rear panel and take the cylinder out of the
compartment. If a screw pressure regulator is used, unscrew
the connection between the regulator and the cylinder and
remove the regulator. Inspect the gasket carefully and make
sure it is in good condition. If in doubt, replace.
Connect the new cylinder and close the connection with the
regulatortightly.Open thecylindervalveand makesure there
are no leaks. Close the valve again, position the gas cylinder
in its compartment and replace the rear panel.
Ventilate the rooms
USE INWELL VENTILATED ROOMS ONLY
The rooms where the stove is used must be adequately ven-
tilated. This ensures elimination of combustion products and
guarantees air exchange. (See the “Warnings” chapter for
details).
- The stove is tted with safety devices activated if the
appliance malfunctions.
If the pilot ame goes out or the room is poorly ventila-
ted, the safety device shuts o the ow of gas and the
stove shuts o.
If the safety devices are activated, check the ventilation
opening in the room before lighting the stove again.

Lighting the stove
1) Open the gas cylinder tap.
2) With the adjustment dial
in the position, press
down fully for about 10
seconds.
3) Hold the dial down and at
the same time press the
piezoelectric starter
2-3 times until the pilot
ame lights. When the
pilot ame is lit, continue
holding the dial down for a further 20 seconds to allow
the thermocouple to heat up, then release.
4) If the ame shuts o after the dial has been released,
repeat the procedure described above.
5) To select the required power, press the dial down and
turn as follows:
- (low ame) low power,
- (medium ame) medium power,
- (high ame) high power.
Turning the stove o
Important! To turn the stove o, close the gas cylin-
der tap.The appliance is turned o completely only when the
gas cylinder tap is closed. When the dial is released after the
start-up period, it should rise up to the original height.
If this is not the case, turn the gas o and contact customer
services. Under no circumstances use the stove with the dial
forced downwards.
Operating instructions
(version with thermostat, IR3020)
Lighting the stove
1) Presstheenabling button andhold itdown forabout
10 seconds.
2) Hold the enabling button down and at the same time
press the piezoelectric starter button (ignition but-
ton) two or three times to light the ame.
With the ame lit, keep holding the enabling button
down for a further 15 seconds, then release.
3) If the ame goes out af-
ter the button has been
released, repeat the pro-
cedure described above.
4) Turn the thermostat dial
to the high position 6
(see gure D).
5) When the room has
reached a comfortable
temperature, turn the
thermostat slowly to the
low position until you
hear a click or the two external burners go out.
- The stove will switch automatically between max and
min power to keep the room at the required temperatu-
re.
Turning the stove o
- To turn the appliance o, turn the thermostat to the“l”
position, then close the gas cylinder tap.
Important! The appliance is turned o completely
only when the gas cylinder tap is closed. When the enabling
button is released after the start-up period, it should rise up
to the original height. If this is not the case, turn the gas o
and contact customer services. Under no circumstances use
the stove with the button forced downwards.
MAINTENANCE
With the appliance o and cold only, dust with a soft damp
cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning products.
If the appliance is not used for a long period, cover and store
in a dry dust free place. For technical problems or maintenan-
ce, contact your local authorised customer services.
Maintenance must be performed every 2 to 3 years.
