use or similar purposes within enclosed spaces.
− Repairs to the appliance are only to be carried out by a

− By covering the heater could cause a heat build up and
possibly lead to material igniting. You must observe the
minimum clearances.
− The surfaces, especially the air-outlet grille, become hot
during operation. For this reason ensure that small
children cannot touch these surfaces.
− No objects should be inserted through the openings of
the appliance.

− regulations for bathrooms, showers, swimming pools
etc. are fulfilled.
− The heater is to be installed in such a way that it cannot
be touched from a person in the bath or shower and that
the switch cannot be operated.
− The fixed installation must be provided with a switching
device having a contact separation of 3 mm in all poles

• The minimum clearances given in the mounting sketch
are to be observed.
• The heater must not be located immediately below a
fixed socket outlet.
• Do not place easily combustible objects, such as
curtains or heat sensitive plastics, in the direct airflow
from the unit.
• The fan heater should only be mounted on a vertical
wall as shown in the sketch below.
• Furthermore there must be a clearance of at least 350
mm from the front of the heater.
To fix the heater, remove the two screws securing the top

5. Presetting
Take care! The settings must be carried out by a
competent electrician. Ensure that the appliance is
disconnected from the mains.
5.1 Selecting the heating capacity
The wall mounted fan heater is provided with an internal
selector switch with which the output can be set during
installation to 1 kW or 2 kW corresponding to the size of the
room to be heated.
In rooms of less than 11 m3in volume, the 1 kW output
should be selected as otherwise nuisance tripping of the
thermal cut-out may occur.
In case of selecting the 2 kW position, the thermostat is in
operation and will switch automatically to 1 kW when the
preselected temperature is achieved.
Note: the heater is preset to 2 kW.
5.2 Selecting the temperature
Note: the thermostat will only function when 2KW is
selected.
The heater is fitted with an adjustable thermostat, which has
three different settings : 1. - Low, 2. - Medium, 3 - High.
This gives you an approximate room temperature range of
18°C - 32°C depending on room size. The temperature
switches to half heat when the room warms up. Full heat will
be switched on automatically when the room temperature
falls.
The thermostat has been factory set on ‘2’ (Medium).
6. Heater operation
The pull cord operates the ON/OFF switch. The pilot lamp
will illuminate when the heater is switched on.
7. Faults
If the heater is not heating, check whether the heater is
switched on (pilot lamp must illuminate). Check that it is
switched on at the distribution board and that the fuse is
intact.
Further directions are explained in section "9. Thermal
safety cut-out".
In the event of malfunctions in your heater, please contact
your local electrician or the nearest customer service point.
The E-Number and the FD code are required before
servicing can be carried out. You will find them on the rating
plate.
8. Cleaning the appliance
Switch off the heater before cleaning and allow to cool.
If dust accumulates, the heater should be cleaned from the
outside using a vacuum cleaner.
The outside can be cleaned by wiping it over with a soft
damp cloth and then dried. Do not use abrasive cleaning
powders or furniture polish, as this can damage the surface
finish.
9. Thermal safety cut-out
For your safety the heater is fitted with a thermal cut-out.
If the air circulation is restricted (e.g. hanging something
over or blocking the grille) the heater switches off
automatically. In order to bring the heater back into
operation remove the cause of the overheating. Switch off
the heater for a few minutes by pulling the cord and allow to
cool down after which normal operation may be resumed.
In addition the appliance is fitted with a thermal fuse link.
If there is abnormal overheating within the appliance, it
operates and opens the circuit.
10. Guarantee
The guarantee terms issued by our representatives in the
country of purchase are applicable for this appliance. The
dealer from whom the appliance was purchased will provide
details at any time on request. Presentation of a receipt is
