well as bringing awareness to any operational or vehicle limitations.

Vehicle Takeover Takeover feature is not available on Push-to-Start vehicles. Engine will shut off when door is opened.
Firmware notes
OEM Remote Starter: Before programming your module, you must first check if your vehicle is equipped with an OEM remote
starter and disable it. If the vehicle is equipped with an OEM remote starter, whether Active or Inactive, it MUST be temporarily
disabled or permanently disconnected depending on the vehicle. Please refer to the “OEM remote starter information” section of the
guide for additional details.
Note: In some cases, the module will program to the vehicle even if equipped with an OEM starter, but will prevent the aftermarket
remote start from functioning properly.
Keyless and Smart Key: will remain functional during remote start.
All connectors are displayed from the wire side (unless specified otherwise).
Refer to the "Vehicle connections" following the installation diagram.

[1] Hood pin: The installation of an aftermarket hood pin is only required on vehicles that are not equipped with a factory hood pin or if
not supported in data.
[2] Tach wire: This is an optional connection required on some remote starters, which do not support a tach signal in D2D. Also, by

OEM Remote Starter Information
If the vehicle has an active OEM remote starter, it will program in to Convenience-Only (no immobilizer bypass). This will allow aftermarket
security to be installed while keeping the factory remote starter active. If you wish for the interface to control the remote start sequence,
perform one of the following actions:
How to determine if a vehicle is equipped with an OEM remote starter?
If the vehicle is equipped with an Add-On Lexus/Toyota OEM remote starter: Some Lexus/Toyota vehicles may have an Add-
On OEM remote starter. If the OEM unit is installed, whether Active or Inactive, it MUST be permanently disconnected as both modules
cannot coexist. Refer to the chart below and always physically inspect and disconnect any OEM remote starter before programming any
Directed products.

If the vehicle is equipped with a BCM Enabled Lexus/Toyota OEM remote starter: The vehicle does not have a physical remote
starter and only one module can be programed at a time. In this case, temporally disable the OEM remote start system using the following
process:
1. Remove the fuse powering the OEM Remote Starter (see chart below for fuse locations).
2. Perform a "Soft reset" or "Hard reset".
3. Perform the "Module programming".
4. After programming is successful, re-insert the fuse powering the OEM Remote Starter.

Depending on your vehicle, a telematics interrupt may be required. A status output must be assigned and an external relay must be used.

Module programming
Refer to “LED diagnostics and troubleshooting” for more information and for troubleshooting purposes.
IMPORTANT! Before programming your module, you must first check if your vehicle is equipped with an OEM
remote starter and disable it. If the vehicle is equipped with an OEM remote starter, whether Active or Inactive,
it MUST be temporarily disabled or permanently disconnected depending on the vehicle Please refer to the
"OEM remote starter information" section of the guide for additional details.
Note: In some cases, the module will program to the vehicle even if equipped with an OEM starter, but will
prevent the aftermarket remote start from functioning properly.
1Wait until the LED turns ON solid red.
2Wait 4 seconds before turning the ignition ON.
The LED flashes orange if an OEM remote starter is detected. Refer to "OEM remote starter
detection" for more information.
3Press the Push-to-Start (PTS) button twice to turn the ignition ON. The LED turns ON solid
green for 3 seconds, thenshuts OFF.
4If the LED flashes orange, press the programming button 5 times. The LED turns ON solid
orange for 3 seconds to indicatethe programming is completed. Otherwise, proceed to the
next step.
5Press the PTS button once more to turn the ignition OFF.
You have successfully completed the module programming sequence.
