SYSTEM 1200 RECEIVER FEATURES
Adjustable Collar: The receiver is attache to
an a justable nylon collar. The collar shoul be
positione above the og’s regular collar.
A just the collar to insure that the contact
posts touch the skin on the og’s neck. (Figure
3) Check the fit for the first few days of wear to
insure that the collar is not too tight or causing
irritation to your et’s neck. It is recommen e
that you remove the collar at night while your
pet is insi e.
Contact Posts: Your DogWatch Dealer will etermine the correct size an type of
contact posts base on your og’s neck shape, coat, an skin sensitivity. The posts
must make contact with the skin in or er for the og to feel the stimulation. In certain
cases, it may be helpful to clip some of the hair aroun the contact posts.
Tighten the contact posts only with the collar wrench provided. Use of pliers or
similar tools can result in over-tightening, which can damage the receiver.
Antenna: The receiver incorporates an omni- irectional antenna esign. The use of
multiple antennas in the receiver assures optimal reception from the signal fiel .
Test Light: The test light allows you to test the receiv-
er. Hol the test light over the
contact posts. (Figure 4) an carry the receiver
into the signal fiel . When the receiver picks up
the signal from the boun ary wire, the au ible warning
will soun an the test light will come on.
Automatic Shutdown: The DogWatch System
is esigne to protect your og from an over-
correction in the unlikely event that your og walks
into the signal fiel . If your og oes not exit the signal fiel , the receiver will auto-
matically stop correcting after 15 secon s to protect your og from over-correction.
The og will also receive a “warning” correction every 15 secon s which will contin-
ue until he leaves the fiel .

Receiver Settings / Training Levels
System 1200 incorporates 4 training levels plus an au ible only setting. Level 1 is
a very low correction setting that in many cases is an appropriate training level for
timi pets. Levels 2 an 3 are progressively stronger training levels. Level 4 is
esigne specifically for pets that require higher correction levels in or er to be
containe . Your DogWatch Dealer will set the receiver to the appropriate training level
for your pet.

Setting and Changing the Training Level
Hol the test light with the magnet en at the marks on the si e of the receiver (as
shown on page 3). Hol the magnet stea y an you will hear a series o beeps as
the Training Level advances. The Training Level will continue to a vance as long
as the magnet is hel in position.
